It's been a long time since I found such hospitality and service, Alessandro was very good, very good food and fair prices, we will return every time we come to Montalcino, thanks again!

Excellent restaurant in the historic center of Montalcino. Traditional Tuscan dishes, genuine and well cooked, I recommend the crostini and the rabbit in red wine... exquisite. The house red wine is also excellent (after all, in Montalcino it couldn't be otherwise). Friendly and friendly staff, honest prices.

Just wonderful! From the reception, service and especially the food! All kind and artisanal quality of the dishes. An affectionate and quality memory when visiting Montalcino. Congratulations!

We had lunch inside, the usual restaurant but the kindness and friendliness of the owner was exceptional. He let us taste his products (oil and wine) and offered us cantucci and vin santo. The food was very good and the prices were quite low. Well what can I say, very satisfied with having been at "Il Moro".

Il Moro was the best surprise we had in Tuscany. After some online research, we went to Il Moro expecting a good local meal. What we were served, however, far exceeded any expectation. Every dish - from the appetisers, first and second courses, to dessert - is carefully paired with local wines, included in the price of the dish. The dishes are delicious, homemade, and made with simple yet incredibly well-selected ingredients. At our table of five, each person ordered a different dish, and we couldn't decide which was the best - both in terms of pasta and meat dishes. The desserts are also outstanding, paired with 'vino santo,' 'moscadello di montalcino,' and 'grappa.' Additionally, the restaurant boasts a beautiful view, an authentic and welcoming atmosphere, and offers all of this at an excellent price.

Warm and friendly atmosphere, friendly people. I only ordered one glass of Montalcino, but they poured four glasses, including starter wine and Rosso... ! The food didn't contain any special ingredients, but strangely it was so delicious! This is a restaurant I want to visit again when I stop by Montalcino.

Nice lunch in this apparently rather rustic restaurant but the quality of the dishes and the truly exceptional customer service. The glass of excellent local wine, passito and grappa kindly offered by the house and served together with the desserts were very welcome. Excellent prices, highly recommended!

Il Ristorante Il Moro si è rivelato una vera e propria gemma culinaria. L'antipasto con crostoni di pecorino e affettati, è stato un inizio perfetto per la nostra esperienza gastronomica. Abbiamo continuato con tagliata e cinghiale sublimi. La selezione di vini è stata un vero tripudio per gli appassionati, con ben 4 bicchieri di degustazione di Brunello e altri pregiati Rossi di Montalcino. Questa scelta meticolosa ha esaltato ogni piatto e ha reso il pranzo ancora più memorabile. Un elogio speciale va a Alessandro, che ha reso il nostro pasto un'esperienza da ricordare. Il suo servizio impeccabile e la sua simpatia hanno aggiunto un tocco speciale. In definitiva, il Ristorante Il Moro si distingue per la qualità dei piatti, la cura nella selezione dei vini e un servizio straordinario. Non vedo l'ora di tornarci e assaporare nuovamente queste delizie.

We had three courses here consisting of a plate of meats, bruschette, pici all’aglione and a pappardelle cinghiale. Secondi was scallopine al limone all round. Only one of us had alcohol, but after ordering a glass of Rosso Di montalcino, were presented with a house wine and another glass of an Il Poggione Toscana - amazing value for €7. A real Tuscan gem! Go here, you’ll not find much better fare in Tuscany, never mind Montalcino.
