17/08/2025: You have to be incredibly patient for a first course that lasted over an hour and a half, sitting at a table between 8:45 and 10:15 PM, then for the second course after 10 minutes, we hadn't even finished the first course. I won't comment on the food because I was so annoyed I didn't even feel like eating. I would have left, but out of respect for others, I stayed seated. In the end, not even an explanation was given; in fact, I was wrong. Anyway, the girl at the tables was very kind and sweet, and you could tell she was having trouble. Nice and clean place, but the wait times were excessively long. No more than 5/6 tables in the dining room. Negative experience.

06/10/2025: Incredibly friendly. The portions are very generous (twice the usual in Italy). And the taste is delicious. The view is gorgeous. A must!

28/08/2025: An experience I definitely won't repeat!! €100 spent in the absolute worst way!! Bland appetizers, unclassifiable first courses, penne with scampi cream (a cream that actually made from 1/2 liter of cream?!?) with a scampi hidden at the bottom of a 400g plate of penne and shrimp. Spaghetti with crabmeat, undercooked and with a flavor reminiscent of pre-cooked sauces from discount stores. I was hoping to finish on a high note with fried shrimp and calamari, but unfortunately it turned out to be quite disappointing: limp, full of oil, and the shrimp definitely had a strange flavor. Alas, in a place as beautiful as Porto Ercole, I wasn't expecting a restaurant like this; it deserves better.

02/05/2026: I highly recommend against it! Unreliable! We booked by phone less than an hour in advance, and when we showed up, we weren't on the reservation list. We left Gigietto's!

14/04/2026: I chose this little restaurant by chance while cycling with my partner, and even though we were practically the only ones there for Sunday lunch, perhaps because it was a little early, I have to say we had a great time. Fast and friendly service, spectacular pasta with clams (al dente pasta with fresh clams), house wine, water, and a main course of crispy, light fried calamari and shrimp. The price was fair for the location.

04/04/2026: The place looks nice. The service was quick, but I was the only one there... I had spaghetti with anchovies and pecorino cheese, but I didn't find it satisfying; it seemed reheated, and the cooking and the pasta itself weren't of high quality. As an appetizer, baby octopus... Really not enough, 3/4 of them swimming in a lake of flavorful sauce. Plus a small beer, €25.

15/05/2026: Good flavors, fast service and a delightful uncle who is the owner, his age and effort are commendable. A real, old family affair can be experienced.

25/04/2026: Compliments, everything was very fresh and the welcome was super.

06/03/2026: Avoid! A hotel with a very low-quality restaurant at a price that's definitely out of line. The rooms are poorly maintained, not very clean, and the toilet seat, for example, was of poor quality and the wrong size, and was only fixed in one spot. The dinner, of which only the pappardelle with wild boar was good, the rest (mixed grill and salad) were decidedly below average (and there wasn't even any mustard available...), cost almost €100 for two people. The dinner consisted of two plates of pappardelle, two mixed grills, and two salads. Drinks: one water, half a liter of fairly poor-quality white wine, one 33cl beer and one 66cl beer (Moretti or Peroni), plus two coffees, one Sambuca, and one Montenegro. Please note that this is not high season. P.S.: The second star is only due to the pappardelle and the efforts of the kind waitress.

21/03/2026: We stayed at this hotel for two weeks in July 2023, and were so satisfied that we wanted to repeat the experience this year, again for two weeks, despite the sharp increase in prices, which were already high. It's a shame that many things have changed this year. Starting with the management, which has proven to be not up to the standard of a 4-star hotel in Punta Ala, CERTAINLY NOT FOR THE CUSTOMERS, GIVEN WHAT THEY PAY. Breakfast was limited and had discount products. To get a vegan croissant (which you can now even find at service stations), we had to call our tour operator. Only three cakes were always the same. Fruit was only melon and pineapple, and some mornings only pineapple. The staff would argue with each other for half an hour over making a cappuccino. There was often no hot water for tea. The table didn't even have a piece of paper on it. The breakfast, lunch, and dinner areas were ONLY OUTSIDE THE POOL, in the sun and the heat of 40°C. Every evening, smoking barbecues smoldered in the air, and depending on the wind, it would blow into your room, the pool, or while you were sitting down to eat. There is a complete lack of air conditioning in the common areas, as the rooms that were elegantly decorated for breakfast and dinner last year have this year become playrooms for the children. There is no relaxation area or TV, as the lounge has been emptied of sofas. No air-conditioned bar area for an evening drink, except by the pool with mosquitoes playing host. Deluxe Room: Sheets changed every other day, no extra pillows of different weights, no evening turndown service, no bathrobes, often mismatched towels, no maintenance on taps and limescale, faulty safety lock, good housekeeping, but remember, we're talking about a Deluxe Room in a 4-star hotel! Beach towels can be picked up at reception in exchange for stamps. In a 4-star hotel, given the price I pay, you have to leave the towels in your room or on the beach. Michel at reception and the maitre d', Mr. Antonio, are always kind and friendly, but without losing the PROFESSIONALISM that is often lacking in everything else. The beach and shuttle service are excellent. Elena and Giovanni are always friendly. Things must be said for better or for worse, because the customer DOESN'T COME FOR FREE and especially when he was there only the year before he expects to find what he left behind, and above all what he sees in the hotel's videos and brochures.

23/09/2025: Terrible experience! We were a group of five girls, and two of us weren't allowed in because they didn't meet the dress code. So they had to wait an hour and then let them in without a stamp, meaning they couldn't leave or re-enter. Disorganization, terrible people breaking up a group, terrible music (techno). The place is nice.

24/08/2025: Nightclub at the Acquavillage water park in Follonica. Music featuring all the classics. Visit on Thursdays and Saturdays during the summer.

09/05/2026: Lucas provided excellent service at a very reasonable price. The team is friendly and efficient, and the service is quick, with no waiting for the food. A nice touch at the end was a complimentary slice of pizza. The staff also made an effort to communicate despite the language barrier, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

29/04/2026: Really not sure what the bad reviews of this place are? We stopped for a pizza on the way through Follonica and it was genuinely the best pizza we had in the whole of Italy. Fresh tomatoes blend rather than tinned sauce, was really lovely. Would definitely recommend.

19/08/2025: The atmosphere is not bad except for a strong smell of incense, the staff is always very polite and helpful... but the prices are out of proportion we paid €7 for a tiny portion of takeaway chips and it's really a lot.

15/08/2025: The pinsas are very good. The only downside is the extra charge for the gluten-free pinsa: +€4.50 seems excessive to me.
