We stayed at this hotel for two weeks in July 2023, and were so satisfied that we wanted to repeat the experience this year, again for two weeks, despite the sharp increase in prices, which were already high. It's a shame that many things have changed this year. Starting with the management, which has proven to be not up to the standard of a 4-star hotel in Punta Ala, CERTAINLY NOT FOR THE CUSTOMERS, GIVEN WHAT THEY PAY. Breakfast was limited and had discount products. To get a vegan croissant (which you can now even find at service stations), we had to call our tour operator. Only three cakes were always the same. Fruit was only melon and pineapple, and some mornings only pineapple. The staff would argue with each other for half an hour over making a cappuccino. There was often no hot water for tea. The table didn't even have a piece of paper on it. The breakfast, lunch, and dinner areas were ONLY OUTSIDE THE POOL, in the sun and the heat of 40°C. Every evening, smoking barbecues smoldered in the air, and depending on the wind, it would blow into your room, the pool, or while you were sitting down to eat. There is a complete lack of air conditioning in the common areas, as the rooms that were elegantly decorated for breakfast and dinner last year have this year become playrooms for the children. There is no relaxation area or TV, as the lounge has been emptied of sofas. No air-conditioned bar area for an evening drink, except by the pool with mosquitoes playing host. Deluxe Room: Sheets changed every other day, no extra pillows of different weights, no evening turndown service, no bathrobes, often mismatched towels, no maintenance on taps and limescale, faulty safety lock, good housekeeping, but remember, we're talking about a Deluxe Room in a 4-star hotel! Beach towels can be picked up at reception in exchange for stamps. In a 4-star hotel, given the price I pay, you have to leave the towels in your room or on the beach. Michel at reception and the maitre d', Mr. Antonio, are always kind and friendly, but without losing the PROFESSIONALISM that is often lacking in everything else. The beach and shuttle service are excellent. Elena and Giovanni are always friendly. Things must be said for better or for worse, because the customer DOESN'T COME FOR FREE and especially when he was there only the year before he expects to find what he left behind, and above all what he sees in the hotel's videos and brochures.
