26/06/2025: I didn't find it very good. I didn't find anything exceptional.
But that's my opinion. Prices a bit too high compared to the dishes. Service not very convincing in explaining the dishes. If you sell special sake (24€ 50cl), the menu must be very clear, not with numbers that are barely legible. But above all, special sakes need to be talked about.
In conclusion, the place lacks communication with customers.

07/09/2025: We found it by chance on our way back from a weekend in Orvieto. We ordered the mixed crostini, tagliatelle with rabbit ragù and crème brulee. The food was homemade and delicious, and I'd return. The service was neither excellent nor infamous.
06/09/2025: It's a great idea to get off the highway and eat here instead of at a rest stop. It's a small place, but perfect for a quick stop and some typical dishes without breaking the bank.

Old flavors that have the ability to remember grandmother's cooking, an emotion for the palate and the heart.
Don't be discouraged if you have to wait a little. A small price to pay to taste their simple, carefully prepared and genuine dishes.
It's worth it, trust me!

13/07/2025: Giusta via di mezzo tra le ville con ristorante della zona e le trattorie navigate con piatti locali di sicuro effetto dei dintorni di Empoli.
Conduzione familiare e servizio puntuale. Menù che non riesce a elevarsi, ingredienti sicuramente di prima mano, cacciagione soprattutto; la base è molto buona, confido nelle nuove leve!! Augurio di proseguimento verso il 🔝

29/09/2025: The Gucci Osteria was just awful. The “seafood salad” was a grey mouse in a black tart under greens that was the most disgusting thing I have ever eaten. It was as if they blended a bunch of raw seafood together and plopped it into a tart. There were slimy pieces of seafood floating in the grey goo. The second pasta was nothing special and served cold. The “extras” were fine but overall I would have been happier at any other restaurant in Florence. For the price and time it was a huge disappointment. I’m giving a bad rating for service because it was very clear that we did not like the grey mush and the server just left it in front of us for 20 minutes. Do yourself a favor and skip this.
24/09/2025: The food is exotic, so you have to be willing to try extravagant and unusual things. The prices are high, and there was a double-billing error, which is annoying. The service is excellent, but if you're not willing to try something truly different, it's best not to go.

Very good value for money.

I think the pizza chef will need to work on this aspect a bit.
27/09/2025: What a disappointment…. Once an authentic address, with quality products, I had an extraordinary memory of it. Today: a modern and bland decor, just like their pizzas. Elastic cheese, products without any taste. Nothing remains of this establishment that I loved so much. A pizza with fries on it? In Italy? RUN AWAY!

22/10/2025: Unfortunately, this is an Italian restaurant that, on the one hand, is focused on quantity and treats tourists differently than locals. We were seated separately from the locals, along with other tourists. The food arrived quickly after ordering and looked the part. It also didn't taste like fresh ingredients. If you're looking for quantity and speed, you can go there. But not for freshly cooked food.
14/10/2025: A romantic evening for two, enjoying excellent seafood. Everything is fresh and beautifully served. Excellent wine, even by the glass. A relaxed atmosphere. The chef and owners are colorful, Florentine in style, friendly, and helpful. We'll be back to try other delicacies.

16/10/2025: We had a group of ten. Table was set so we were quite spaced out but it was quiet. Food prepared nicely but not great for the price! Slow service. There were lots of great extras like a starter lemon vodka drink, bread, fabulous bread sticks, crackers with oil. And yummy candies at the end! Quite pricey!
16/10/2025: This was a fantastic spot to celebrate our anniversary while visiting Florence. The sophisticated atmosphere and impeccable service made this a very special meal.
Bedsides our delicious multi-course meal, we were greeted with a lemon/vodka/prosecco apertivo, a tasting platter, and an elegant presentation of four types of bread. Between our dishes, we were served a very light palate refresher with green chartreuse.
Cestello has an extensive wine list; another table ordered the wine flight and it was lovely admiring the presentation! Both the charred sea bass and chef-special branzino were phenomenally tasty. My husband ordered gnocchi, and amberjack from the Crudite menu. Each dish delivered layers of flavors, a real distinction in a city filled with good food.
The service included at least four different servers attending to our fresh flatware. Each course seamlessly blended with the best. It was a feast for the senses.
For dessert, we chose the chocolate dome with banana-rum sorbet, and espresso.
Finally, when my stomach felt ready to burst, our server brought out a tiered sampler with six bite-sized dolci for us to taste.
The whole evening was exquisite!
