Reaching this place is already an experience for the soul, after a walk down along the river. Having lunch at Sonia's with handmade local chestnut tortelli, listening to Gregoria's stories and finding her there continuing a simple yet extraordinary story linked to these places, puts you at peace with the world at least for a day...

We already knew the beautiful village of Casetta di Tiara and the Rio Rovigo Valley and, in the wake of "The Queen of Casetta", today we decided to come and meet Gregoria in person and taste the cuisine of her family's restaurant. Tuscan cuisine with top quality ingredients, generous portions and absolutely honest prices: we tried the starters (the crostini with liver pate was super!) and the Florentine steak, tender and tasty, with beans with garlic and rosemary, delicious! Next round the nettle tortelli 💪 Highly recommended 🤩

First of all, the quality of the food which is made with seasonal ingredients and a craftsmanship of production that has no equal. Then the environment of Casetta, a small resilient community in the Alto Mugello, with Byzantine origins, which still remain in the neither Tuscan nor Romagna dialect. A story of humanity and mountains that magically resists described in the documentary La Regona di Casetta, available on YouTube.

Family atmosphere with real people and genuine cuisine, like going to grandma's. In a unique context, a small village where time seems to have stopped. What can we say about the big cat in the room who never disdains a caress. Recommended for those looking for a true immersion in another dimension.

We had lunch in this restaurant and ate very well from the starter to the first courses, second courses and desserts, everything was fabulous, the waitress is her father, wonderful, absolutely worth trying

30/03/2024: I give it full marks for many reasons. First of all for the variety of choices of courses from the restaurant to the pizzeria. I ate a pizza with a soft and tasty dough that is rarely found around. The place is also nice, it recalls the Neapolitan tradition but with a wink to the reality in which it is located. Everything was very clean and the staff were courteous and professional. In short, if you want to eat well and peacefully, all you have to do is look for the number and book... even if you are looking for gluten free!! 10 and praise
30/03/2024: Years ago it was better, much better. Now the pizza in my opinion has dropped in quality. Ditto the appetizers.

07/04/2024: Beautiful discovery in a place you don't expect on the outskirts of Florence. Romantic birthday dinner, with 5-course tasting menu and 4 matching glasses. I must say the whole journey was interesting from a gastronomic point of view as well as the food/wine pairing was spot on. Excellent service, punctual and attentive to the explanation of the dish. The dish that impressed me the most was the CBT egg with pumpkin cream and Mugello cheese, which exploded in the mouth. The tortelli are also excellent. Definitely a place to go on special occasions. High but fair count. I think we will hear more about it in the future. The only discordant note: the area. The fact that it is outside the Florentine mass tourism is excellent, but on the other hand in the evening, it's not exactly the best...
15/03/2024: A real surprise! I had to make a good impression with a couple of old friends... from start to finish everything was sublime, I can't find the words to adequately describe everything... from the location to the service not to mention the dishes... excellent! Well done!
