30/04/2024: I visited Insolita Trattoria Tre Soldi and it was a great experience. They are very experienced and skilled in "reconstructed" dishes. For example we had a reconstructed tomato which looks like an actual tomato but it is actually composed of different ingredients such as spreadable cheese, sun-dried tomatoes etc. The main course was 40-hour cooked beef cheek, which was to die for. The wines, desserts and the service were all pretty good. I think the interior design and the atmosphere could be somewhat improved though. My menu consisted of: - Starter: Reconstruction d'une tomate - Pasta: Insolita carbonara - Meat: 40 Ore di Stufato - Dessert: Solo un chicco di caffe

23/01/2024: Truly an unusual trattoria: three rooms with a few tables, an intimate atmosphere and a dark menu offering between 5 and 15 courses chosen by the chef! However, for the more traditionalists there is also an à la carte menu. Very well presented and made dishes. Top quality ingredients and very well cooked. I recommend the 5-course blind menu to understand the philosophy of the place very well. The combinations with the tasting offered in conjunction with the menu were very apt. Professional and quick service. Medium-high prices.

17/08/2024: Visited in August 2024. Great welcome. Simple but effective pizza. Very nice place with meals by the pool. The real plus, a bottle of wine with the image of the restaurant offered during the bill. I recommend.

12/06/2024: We were on holiday in the area and specifically chose this pizzeria. It is very unassuming. But also well attended by the locals. We enjoyed it very much. Family-run restaurant. Everyone very friendly.

28/07/2024: The food was not very good, the prices were very high for what it is… the pizza was with good ingredients but the salad was more lettuce than anything else… I do not recommend this place if you want to do well.

16/06/2024: Cibo con qualità scadente. Tempi di attesa estremamente lunghi, siamo arrivati alle ore 13 e abbiamo mangiato alle 15. Titolare maleducato, ci ha risposto più di una volta male dopo avergli chiesto a che punto fossero i piatti ordinati. Dopo ben 2 ore di attesa sono arrivati degli spaghetti crudi e con dei lupini, al posto delle "vongole veraci" così come indicato sul menù, chiaramente immangiabili e rimandati indietro. Per concludere c'è stato un errore di ben 10 euro nel conto, avevamo preso un calice di vino, che peraltro ci è stato portato in una bottiglia già aperta e avviata, e alla fine ci è stata fatta pagare una bottiglia intera. Porzione misera e senza condimento quella dell'antipasto.

16/06/2024: Il locale piccolino, con mura sporche. Anche sul tavolo c’era della sporcizia... Cibo non all’altezza. Menu non allineato a quanto e’ on line, cosi come i prezzi. Servizio apatico. Purtroppo esperienza non da ripetere.

30/06/2024: Today we had lunch at the Sassineri restaurant in Villa Cesi. Compliments to the chef who prepared each dish with taste and imagination. The food is of quality and you can feel it, both the first and second courses served with kindness and a smile by both Lucia and Gemma. To conclude, the surprise dessert was served directly by the Chef true goodness.

19/05/2024: A pleasant evening tasting the cuisine of Villa Cesi. For hotel guests 30% discount. Prices consistent with quality. Good service and right portions for dishes that are very refined and tasty. Let yourself be suggested by the waiters who know how to guide you into their cellar. Advised!

29/07/2024: Very strange feelings about the place. The waitress was either rude or didn’t speak English well, but when we came, they didn’t try to nicely accommodate. Didn’t bring olive oil and bread, but for other tables there were. Idk if it’s act of another waitresses or needed to ask? But come on, it’s normal should be. Then the bread was so old when we got it. Prices are really high but as everywhere in Italy in summer…. Cnoghi were ok, meat fillet was soft but no taste. Tiramisu ok, not wow, a bit too sweet. Bill fro two dishes and draft mad water- 66 euro!!! It’s too much!!

08/08/2024: Sono rimasto decisamente stupito !! Dalla “bellezza” e particolarità del locale e dalla bontà dei prodotti ! La pizza con i pomodorini e quella con zucchine e fiori di zucca sono assolutamente fantastiche ! Ritornerò sicuramente Se passate da Calenzano e’ d’obbligo una sosta per un assaggio .

26/06/2024: L’ambiente è accogliente, con un arredamento curato e pulito, che rende l’esperienza piacevole sin dal primo ingresso. Il menù offre una vasta selezione di pizze al taglio, una più buona dell’altra. La qualità degli ingredienti è evidente: la mozzarella è fresca, i pomodori sono dolci e saporiti, e l’impasto è leggero e croccante, con il giusto equilibrio tra morbidezza e croccantezza. Il personale è cortese e disponibile, sempre pronto a consigliare le migliori combinazioni o a rispondere a qualsiasi domanda. Il servizio è rapido ma senza compromettere la qualità del prodotto finale; inoltre anche nei momenti di maggiore affluenza, la pizzeria riesce a mantenere alti standard di efficienza e qualità. In conclusione “Origano” è una pizzeria al taglio che riesce a distinguersi grazie alla qualità dei suoi ingredienti, alla varietà delle sue proposte e all’accoglienza del suo staff. Un luogo dove ogni boccone è una scoperta e dove è difficile uscire insoddisfatti. Sicuramente un posto da visitare per chi ama la pizza e desidera provare qualcosa di autentico e delizioso.

04/09/2024: Meilleure pizza que j'ai mangé de ma vie ! La pâte est super fine et les bords sont croustillants. Les serveurs sont très gentils et les prix sont bas. La pizza que j'ai prise était sans tomate, avec mortadelle, burrata et huile d'olive à la pistache.

02/09/2024: Il locale è su una strada abbastanza trafficata, si mangia su piccoli tavolini sul marciapiede é molto rumoroso., però la pizza è molto buona, servizio attento, prezzo ottimo. Peccato che alle 21 fossero già finiti i dolci! Unica pecca della cena. Comunque ci tornerei.

20/08/2024: Our family and friends stayed at Villa Cesi for a couple of days in August 2024 in the context of our wedding celebrations. We not only stayed at the hotel but also hosted an event for 130 people one evening. Overall very very happy about our experience at Villa Cesi. We were particularly pleased by how friendly and helpful the staff was throughout our stay. They really went above and beyond in making our time with them feel special. As with anything, some minor things went slightly wrong (e.g., one of the safe boxes did not work immediately in our room). As soon as this was flagged to the staff, they worked to get things fixed immediately. We are grateful for their time, effort and kindness. Strongly recommend Villa Cesi. We will be back soon!

22/07/2024: A great discovery! All the people working at the hotel that we met during our stay were pleasant, smiling and really attentive. The rooms and infrastructure are well maintained (swimming pools, billiards, gym, jacuzzi). An address that we keep in mind for our next visit to Tuscany. Thanks to the whole team.

24/08/2024: Wonderful experience. Excellent food, wine, dessert and service. Best in town. Try the pici with boar sauce for dinner with calzone Nutella for dessert. Unbelievable

07/04/2024: Tonight was the last evening of the Alchemist in the historic venue on Via dei Cappuccini. As long as Baffo is there, there will be the Alchemist somewhere, but even the "walls" have weight and are full of memories. The Alchemist has been the main meeting point for at least 4 generations of Empoli residents, seeing it close is becoming aware of a piece of history, personal and collective, that is ending. The Alchemist is closed, Long live the Alchemist!

17/03/2024: An evening with friends, good dinner, pizza, hamburger, beer, dessert. Excellent live music entertainment. Although the service left a little to be desired due to the wait, between an hour and an hour and a half from the time we sat down to the time we received the food, I recommend it, especially on music evenings.

21/07/2024: A place where most of the people who work nearby have lunch. The place is pleasant and spacious, the veranda is a little hot in summer. Good dishes and good choice. Very friendly and helpful staff. If you are looking for where to eat quickly, this is the place for you.

18/08/2024: Scale 1-10 (ten being best) Food-8 Service-9 Portion-7 Price-9 Atmosphere-9 I had the spaghetti (fried noodle) with chicken dish. The food tastes great, and so is the price, I just wish the portion was a bit bigger. It gets a bit crowded, so if you get a takeaway, expect to wait 10-15 minutes. Other than that, the customer service was very professional and courteous!!! The menu has a wide range of selections. There is a nice bar at the entrance with a good selection of drinks as well. It is only 1 block from Santa Maria Novella Train Station. Recommended 😎👍

18/08/2024: Very friendly staff, in a location that seems like something out of an Asian film, very tasty and perfectly cooked food. 4 of us were very satisfied with the bill too 🤞🏼
