16/11/2025: Great experience! Sometimes choosing randomly and following your gut instinct is helpful 😁...excellent pizza, easy-to-digest pasta, and no evening thirst = knowing your craft. The atmosphere is welcoming, as are the owners, ready to guide you through their culinary experience. It's a great thing that the chef comes out of his comfort zone to ask how the customer is doing. Prices are absolutely competitive compared to the competition. Already bookmarked!

23/11/2025: Fun, dark and gloomy bar with the "hidden door" gimmick, however the drinks are extortionate (€22 each) and they aren't that flavorful and are scarce in volume

18/11/2025: A beautiful underground speakeasy, welcoming you into an elegantly retro setting. A vast selection of whiskeys. The cocktails are excellent, as is the service. A must-try.

02/11/2025: Farmhouse in the Tuscan hills, half an hour from Sesto and 40 minutes from Florence. Views of rolling hills, vineyards, and olive groves as far as the eye can see.

26/10/2025: Beautiful setting, lovely farmhouse Tuscan-style rooms, shame about the shower curtain in the bathroom, which I always find annoying... Note about the bed: the mattress is very hard, a topper would be needed to avoid too much discomfort, and the pillows are low. Last night it wasn't warm, and the room temperature wasn't ideal. The heating was turned off, so we used the heat pump, but it was extremely noisy. We'll return in the warmer months, but with a few improvements. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

22/10/2025: Our experience at this restaurant in Florence was simply unforgettable. Carlo, the owner, welcomed us with genuine warmth and cooked us the most delicious dishes we've tasted since arriving in Italy. Amidst the aromas, flavors, and smiles, we shared Neapolitan stories and sentiments, telling him we'd soon be leaving. It was an encounter full of flavor and emotion, the kind you'll treasure. You can tell this is a place run by its owner, with a passion that shines through in every detail. Best of all, the value for money is exceptional, too good for food and service of this level. A truly special corner of Florence.

12/08/2025: Beautiful, modern winery. The woman who took over the winery was brilliant; she was very knowledgeable and exuded passion. The wines we tasted were truly excellent, paired with cured meats, cheeses, and olive oil. I recommend it to all Chianti lovers!

29/07/2025: I was here with a friend through a reservation with Smartbox, which included a tasting of three glasses of wine accompanied by a sampling of local olive oil and salami and cheese paired with the wines served. The woman explained the entire history of the winery to us and was truly impeccable in her explanations of the wines. We took a tour of the cellar, seeing the various processes involved in creating the various types of wine. She showed us where they keep the concrete and wooden barrels and where the wine is transferred between the various processes. The wine was good, and we went home with a nice purchase.

08/11/2025: Spectacular pizza. But the truly delicious one was the ground grain focaccia. Definitely worth trying. Highly recommended.

06/11/2025: What a disappointment! This restaurant was recommended as traditional by our hotel (their 1st night recommendation was outstanding) so we were excited to try it. The food was average at best. We ordered a couple of appetizers and several entrees and only one was really good. BUT the real clincher of the night was when the server handed us the cc machine to total it out and sign. We looked at him like why are we totaling it out? This is Italy, you're not expected to tip on top (which often we were disappointed by because we wanted to show extra appreciation). Anyway, when my husband totaled out the bill as it came to us, the server ripped the receipt off the machine and threw it at him. We told our hotel about our experience and they were shocked and very disappointed. Go to IL VOLO for a GREAT traditional meal!!!!

06/11/2025: We chose this place, away from the chaos, to experience the true Tuscan cuisine and atmosphere. I have to say, better inside than out...in terms of atmosphere. The cuisine is well-prepared, and we found the flavors we were looking for in the dishes we chose: mixed crostini, potato tortelli with Cinta Senese ragù. I found the service particularly cold from the young group of waiters...not a word, not a chat, not a smile... True Tuscans are chatty and make you laugh...coldness...

01/11/2025: Last week I had the opportunity to travel to Firenze to enjoy its beautiful culture and cuisine, amongst the places that I visited on my first night I went to this restaurant, although the service was doubtful as well as the glass of champagne, I feel compelled to mention that I had one of the best peaces on meat in Italy, they are truly professionals at making the Fiorentina steak and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking to get the real Firenze experience (The picture is not the best)

04/10/2025: Our trusted pastry shop, a true gem! It's always a pleasure to walk in and smell the aroma of freshly baked bread and the desserts prepared with care and passion. The quality is consistently excellent, from the fresh and varied bread to the cakes and pastries, which are captivating from the first bite. The staff is fantastic: kind, welcoming, and always smiling. A place where you can feel the authenticity and always want to return. Sincere compliments to the entire staff!

09/11/2025: The aperitif was pretty poor, especially considering the quality of the food. We ordered the vegetarian platter, but the quality of the products was very low. It's a shame.

17/11/2025: Great pizza! I didn’t like the pasta, and it’s not homemade.

15/11/2025: We arrived without a reservation, asked if there was room, and were told yes and seated without giving us any indication of how long we had to eat. During dinner, the waiter pressured us to leave the table as quickly as possible. We wanted to finish our beer before ordering dessert, but were told we had to hurry because there were other people outside (we'd only been seated 30 minutes). The result? Pizza stuck in our throats, and the feeling of being treated like a paycheck. Just tell them before they let us sit that we'd have to eat quickly, so at least one person could decide whether or not to sit down.
