15/06/2025: Having entered this bar with the simple desire of a coffee, I approached the counter because the cash register, at that moment, was unattended. After ordering, when it was time to pay, I politely asked to use the POS, since I had no cash with me. The bartender, with a decidedly rude attitude - bordering on rudeness - told me that the POS "didn't work" and invited me to go out to withdraw money. A heated exchange ensued, during which the man at the counter claimed that he was not obliged to accept electronic payments. He even invited us to leave the premises, as if we were the ones who wanted to evade payment. At that point, a second person came out from the back, approached the cash register and, as if by magic, the POS suddenly started working again. In certain situations, doubt comes naturally. Not satisfied with the embarrassment, the barista continues to rant even after we regularly paid the bill and obtained the receipt. As a fitting conclusion to a terrible experience, the coffee was terrible. Never again.

13/06/2025: Terrible Experience – Never Going Back I’ve been coming to Florence every year and dining at Trattoria 13 Gobbi has always been a tradition for me and my husband. This time, I was traveling with my sister — her first time in Florence — and I wanted to take her to a place I once recommended. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait over an hour to be seated — not just us, but many others too. Whenever we tried to get information, the host responded rudely, telling us to wait outside with no explanation or estimate. Once we were finally seated, we waited another 45 minutes just to receive the menu. Every time we asked politely (even in Italian), the same man replied harshly, telling us to wait. When we had questions about the wine, he couldn’t give us any recommendations — and once we chose one, he mocked our choice with another waiter, assuming we didn’t understand Italian. Unfortunately for him, we did. When our food arrived — the famous rigatoni — it was just dropped on the table with no attention. I asked for grated cheese and was told “one minute,” but no one ever came. I had to get up and ask for it at the front. Thankfully, another kind waiter brought it and apologized. At the end, we asked for the bill but were ignored again, so we simply stood up and paid directly at the register — which seems to be standard practice there, but still lacked any proper service. While the food was good, it’s absolutely not worth the stress and poor treatment. After this awful experience, I’ll never return — and I certainly won’t be recommending this place to anyone again.

08/06/2025: I piatti nulla di che: antipasto misto con salumi non particolarmente saporiti e pappardelle con cinghiale decisamente con poca grinta. Il posto sembra molto turistico. Ciò che è peggio però è la scarsa educazione ed ospitalità da parte del personale.

30/03/2025: La trattoria ha mantenuto la qualità degna della sua fama. Alcuni piatti sono veramente unici. La trippa alla fiorentina, il baccalà cassi, la minestra di pane sono superlativi, così come il crostino toscano. Il servizio è veloce e il personale molto gentile.

16/06/2025: Trusted McDonald's near my house, I've been going there since it opened, first inside as a kid, now mainly at night if I happen to go via McDrive. Never had any problems and always very fast, often there are offers via app that make it very advantageous even compared to the various nearby kebab shops that stay open at night and that over the years have raised their prices a lot.

The atmosphere is great, full of flowers and plants, not really seeing the restaurant, it is an amazing vivaio. booked for 6 but ended up being 7, they easily accommodated us. Our table was beautifully made! We had starters, main and sides, every dish was delicious and well prepared! If you want some great Italian food, go here!

11/05/2025: I have lived in Santo Spirito for twenty years. The meat is good as is all the offerings. But they are a bit clever; I ordered a Santo Spirito flatbread (€8.50) and rightly paid for it as such. When I went to pick up the Schiacciata I found a sandwich, which cost one euro less on the menu. I don't care about the euro more or less, but it wasn't a nice gesture. I don't know if it was a mistake, a necessity or a bit of malice, in any case it is not done, even more so with a resident.

14/06/2025: Avions réservé. Accueil sympathique. Terrasses agréables. Les assiettes sont bien fournies. Le serveur nous a donné quelques conseils pour nous aider à choisir.

12/03/2025: Cantinetta Allegri closed with COVID.. BUT YOU MUST GO TO THE NEW RESTAURANT THAT IS IN ITS PLACE! Trattoria Maga Mago. Excellent. Local. Not super touristic! Food that is in season. Excellent family owned -chef and service! Carciofi, tagliatelli, and caccio pepe today. We'll go back again this week. The portions were plenty big (in response to old review of the previous business)

11/05/2025: Wine was served in a plastic cup. They said there was a water problem in Florence. All the other bars seemed to be “normal”, I didn’t really understand. I didn’t like the prosciutto crudo. It was tough and smelled old. Plus: the waiter was super friendly

23/04/2025: Llegamos del vuelo al hotel sobre las 23:00. Y nos apetecía tomar algo tras el día de viaje. Nos dimos una vuelta y nos pareció coqueto. Vimos un par de establecimiento antes donde ponía aperol spritz 3,50... Tomamos 2 aperol y 1 caña tostada y una rubia...y nos han cobrado una barbaridad. 32 euros. No se si es porque somos españoles y hemos pagado la novatada pero es una barbaridad. Sentados en 2 banquetas en una esquina ..todo un lujo.
