12/04/2026: I visited Sottozero Campi Bisenzio and unfortunately had a negative experience. The two gelato makers present were neither friendly nor professional. During service, they spoke to each other in another language, ignoring the customers, creating a feeling of discomfort and lack of attention. Furthermore, I witnessed unhygienic and inappropriate behavior: one of them tasted the gelato with a spoon and immediately afterward grabbed a cup, consuming it in front of everyone. This behavior appeared disrespectful and unprofessional.

It's one of those cafés where you can pop in for an espresso or a brioche without having to wander too far. Once inside, the atmosphere is simple and unpretentious: it's not elegant or trendy, but it works well for the main purpose—coffee, breakfast, or a quick snack. The coffee and pastries are average: I tried a cappuccino and a croissant, and while they weren't memorable, they were sufficient and satisfying for a short stop. The focaccias and sandwiches here are often mentioned as excellent quick snacks, ideal if you're in a hurry and want something tasty but simple. As for service, experiences seem to vary: some people describe it as warm and friendly, while other more recent reviews describe the staff as aloof or unhelpful. Personally, I've noticed a slightly "off-the-beaten-path" attitude in some situations, but nothing completely off-putting. 13/02/2026: Very disappointing experience. The food was below average and definitely not worth the high prices. However, the biggest issue was the staff. They were extremely rude, unhelpful, and completely unprofessional — especially towards tourists. Instead of being welcoming, they treated customers with disrespect and attitude. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

14/04/2026: It's the usual delicious food from the McDonald's. There's an employee who keeps everyone in line. She tells the kids to clean up. It's very noisy because it's not big, but it's very crowded with kids, teenagers, and rude adults. It opens late, so even though I live nearby, I can't get breakfast there.

07/12/2025: Very large and well-structured space. Before this brand, there was another fast food chain. The dishes aren't many, but what they do have is good. Very friendly staff. Prices are reasonable. The outdoor parking lot isn't very large.

13/09/2025: Excellent food, unique flavors, moderate prices. Welcoming staff, excellent service. Quick service, relaxed atmosphere. The house wine was very good, and the first course with wild boar ragù was delicious. The wild boar was homemade. And all this with a beautiful view of the square. Highly recommended.

27/05/2025: I have been working in the same street for 9 years and for all this time this restaurant has been a point of reference for the quality of the dishes, the research and respect for tradition, the correctness of the prices, the genuine and spontaneous friendliness of all the staff! Learning of the closure of this point of reference for Chinese cuisine present for over 30 years is immensely sad and makes you reflect on the too harsh and almost absurd law of the real estate market in Florence, which favors businesses that close every 12 months rather than loyal tenants. Good luck to all the staff and the owner Massimo with the hope that this change brings more beautiful news! I hope to see you soon!!

24/05/2025: We really enjoyed our meals here! The curry and noodles was a first for us but quite good, the chicken fried rice had a good mix of veggies and egg, the sweet and sour chicken was light and crisp and the pineapple sauce was great, not cloyingly sweet and dyed red as it generally is in the US. The beef and broccoli was flavorful and beautifully cooked. We had a big group and shared the dishes, ended up ordering a few more bc the portions were appropriate for 1 serving and not the huge, too much serving as is the case at home. Not expensive. Try it!
