21/10/2025: We were very happy with our stay there. The staff was really friendly, the rooms were clean, and the breakfast was good. The pool and everything around it were clean.

07/10/2025: I have to give a 4 star review, because of the rooms. Even though they seemed very clean, they were very outdated. Apart from that, breakfast was delicious, and prices were pretty reasonable. On top of that, there are electric car chargers available in great price with the convenience of paying at the counter during checkout.

04/08/2025: A charming location, nestled on a hill among vineyards and orchards, with a terrace overlooking the sea from Bocca di Magra to Versilia. Simple, traditional cuisine, a few dishes but with just the right flavors. The focaccia with the cutting board was excellent. We followed it with tordelli massesi and tagliatelle with mushrooms, typical dishes of the Massa area. Everything is homemade, as are the desserts, where a few more options would have been appreciated. The service is welcoming and attentive, and Gaia entertains guests with kindness, courtesy, and professionalism! We spent a wonderful evening enjoying good food!

02/11/2025: Where to start: the agriturismo is located high up, so to get there you have to travel along mountain roads with many curves. Once you reach the top, you enter a bubble of nature and well-being. Serena and Alessandro, along with all their delightful four-legged friends, were more than generous hosts. We stayed in the olive tree with a couple of our friends and our girls. The house has all the basic necessities. Simple and welcoming, with a beautiful fireplace creating a warm atmosphere. For our first dinner, we decided to rely on them, and we were right. A typical Tuscan dinner, mouth-watering. We were even more amazed by the fact that everything was gluten-free and homemade. From appetizers to dessert, it was a sensational experience. Our girls enjoyed the company of so many animals, even being able to watch them eat. Dante the wild boar will remain in our hearts. 12/10/2025: This is our third time here. Always a few years apart. What's our impression? The complex is still very well-maintained. The pool is a nice size, and spending time there is truly relaxing. This time we had a different apartment, which was also very nice. The gas stove isn't easy to use. The light in the bathroom could be a bit brighter (thanks for the new bright light above the kitchen counter). Overall, though, it was very comfortable. The restaurant is very good and highly recommended. Thank you very much!

We are drawn to this region for vacation, and we appreciate the "Gualdo del Re" because it offers a beautiful oasis nestled in a highly award-winning wine-growing region. Here, you can experience wonderful moments far from the tourist crowds. Birdsong and clean air paired with delicious dishes and local wines make your stay something truly special. The "Gualdo del Re" restaurant is located in an annex to the winery and offers a sensual immersion in the traditional flavors of the Tuscan Maremma, accompanied exclusively by wines from the estate. In the immediate vicinity, you can reach other important wine producers, such as "Terradonnà," "Tua Rita Societa 'Agricola Semplice," and, a few hundred meters further, "Azienda Agricola Russo" and "Bulichella Winery." Back to "Gualdo del Re" and its cuisine. A destination without parking worries – truly pleasant. The dining room is covered with a beautiful wooden structure. The glass-framed side walls can be opened, allowing for a pleasant feeling of open air in warm temperatures. There are also additional tables outside under the stars. Let's get this straight: It's a shame there are no drinks here. The restaurant is conceptually designed around the house wines. As Campari Spritz lovers, we are encouraged to order the house white wine. There is neither Prosecco nor Campari here. A typical dinner for us starts with a glass of the house white wine, "Vermentino," followed by a typical Tuscan dish from the kitchen, such as a barley mix – delicious, light, warm, and healthy – or "Panzanella croquante," among other things. The waiter, Lorenzo, often presents a slate board with daily specials and translates into German, which is very helpful for us. Depending on the menu, a starter and a main course follow from a wide selection of sensual Tuscan dishes that immerse you in the flavor and depth of authentic Tuscan cuisine. For us, we usually choose Cabraia, a red wine made largely from Cabernet Franc grapes, as our ideal wine accompaniment. There's usually some room for a small dessert. Overall, we feel very comfortable at the "Gualdo del Re." For my wife, who doesn't like shellfish, the selection is sometimes limited. But fish and pasta with some kind of ragù are usually available. This is much easier for me because I'm familiar with a wider range of culinary delights. Just take a look at the photos and form your own opinion. For us, this location has something of a paradise. As nature lovers, a visit to the "Gualdo del Re" is always something special, and stopping here is a must.

26/10/2025: Feel at home even before you arrive. Our main contact was Raffaela, who contacted us on the day of our arrival and provided us with check-in instructions when we arrived later than expected. She speaks several languages ​​besides Italian, including Spanish and English. All the staff we came in contact with were charming. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. The location was perfect, just two minutes from free public parking, well-located for exploring key points of Tuscany. It also has an elevator.

04/10/2025: We stayed at this hotel for three days, and the experience couldn't have been better. From the first moment we stayed, we felt very comfortable: the rooms were impeccable, always clean and tidy, and the breakfast was perfect, both in terms of the quality of the food and the service. The attention from the entire staff was excellent, from the breakfast team to the hotel management and everyone else. The location is ideal for easily exploring all of Tuscany, making it a perfect starting point for any trip. We would also like to especially thank you for offering us a superior room with better views, as we were traveling for a business photo shoot. This gesture made us much more comfortable and relaxed, which made all the difference in our stay. In short, we are truly happy and eager to come back. Thank you for everything!

13/11/2025: Food is okay, not super fantastic. The wine and balsamic vinegar is really good. However, one thing that makes the experience unpleasant is that after i paid, i was supposed to be promised for a tax refund. Took my particulars but there wasn’t a follow up at all. this is unacceptable.

10/11/2025: We went as a group! The experience was wonderful. They gave us a wine tasting. We loved the place. Everything was perfect.

23/09/2025: The place would be nice from a structural standpoint. We were unlucky to go on a Sunday evening and be the only customers, which made it seem a bit unwelcome. But it's not unlucky that they didn't have beer (a broken keg, but there wasn't any in the bottle either). We ordered meat with asparagus, but the asparagus was missing. The appetizer was reheated and dry, and three slices of cured meats. For dessert, only one, plus the biscotti. The prices didn't match the quality offered. A disappointment.

14/10/2025: We had the Rosticciana alla Griglia con patate fritte and the Grigliata Mista, along with Verdure miste al forno and two glasses of local Chianti — one from the immediate area. Every bite was succulent and perfectly cooked. The meats were grilled to order, full of flavour, and the vegetables beautifully roasted. Service was relaxed and friendly, and sitting in the glorious sunshine in the little piazza made it even better. A place to slow down, sip some wine, and savour genuine Tuscan cooking.

07/09/2025: Recommended for those in Pistoia for a visit or business trip and looking to eat well without overdoing it! I stumbled upon this place by chance on a Sunday for lunch and it was a pleasant surprise. Varied menu, quality products, generous portions, reasonable wait times, cleanliness, friendly staff, and excellent value! The place is casual and has everything you need; the restroom was clean. We had the pici cacio e pepe, which were generous and flavorful. The carbonara, which my son ordered, was also excellent; he polished it off! We finished our meal with a mixed grill, which was very good! If we ever return to Pistoia, I think we'll be back!

31/05/2025: Amazing location, super friendly staff and Marco is a fantastic cook. Worth a small detour from the via degli Dei and take a rest day by the lovely pool if you have time. There's a fishing lake down the hill you can catch trout for lunch at!

11/09/2025: An authentic estate, where love for the land and care for creation are paramount. There are rooms for sleeping, a restaurant, a shop selling truly zero-mile local products, and an educational farm. There's plenty of space both inside and out.

07/09/2025: Slow food cuisine at its finest – a huge estate with its own cattle and pigs – all with plenty of space to roam and organically cultivated. Both the ham and bacon variations from the Cinta Senese pork as an appetizer and the Maremma marinara grilled on a wood grill were so indescribably good and tasty that even the longer journey was worthwhile. An attached shop with wine, olive oil, and sausages and meat products invites you to shop. The completely uncomplicated, friendly atmosphere on the spacious grounds is also very pleasant.

09/11/2025: Just left, and never again... A small beer and an aperitif, I also asked for something to eat... They arrived with a small bag of 10g of chips and 20g of peanuts, €17 and no receipt.... No way!!!
