This place was lovely, the drinks at the bar were reasonably priced, the good was good, not quite as reasonably priced. The breakfast was good although all I got was the bacon and scrambled eggs. The rooms were exactly what you would expect.

Family-run hotel, family-style service

The hotel evokes the glory days of the 80s – our garden-facing room (Junior Suite) was spacious and quiet – the bed was very comfortable, everything was clean and homey – Grazie Alba! The shower isn't really a shower, but rather a small bathtub with a hanging shower curtain. Two modern TVs are available to watch from the comfortable sofa. Breakfast reflects the Italian philosophy, not English or Austrian, but there was everything from eggs and bacon to fruit. The coffee machine slows you down and allows time for inner relaxation, a good book, or brushing up on a foreign language. It's a good base for visitors to Florence – in Prato, remnants of the original population are still clearly visible alongside the modern Chinese culture. It's also ideal for excursions into Tuscany, by car or, of course, for the adventurous, by bicycle. Unfortunately, the pool was closed due to the frigid water temperatures. However, the hotel has character and charm; thank you, Beatrice, for the great tips! In short, the Hermitage is worth every penny!

Excellent hotel. Large parking lot with electric car charging. Always staffed reception. Spacious rooms, with slightly dated furniture. There's a mosquito net on the window, but the glass doesn't open, and at night the air gets on your back. Excellent and plentiful international breakfast. Excellent coffee and cappuccino machine. Wi-Fi isn't very good. There are many shaded areas.

The hotel is in a truly picturesque location in Tuscany. Unfortunately, I only spent one night there while passing through, but I would love to come back again with more time. The rooms are well-equipped and very clean.

2-night business stay with a colleague. I think everything we experience was pretty standard for a 3-star hotel. The pros: - Was a reasonable distance from the place we were working - The property is lovely. It was slightly too cold (end of March) to enjoy dining outside or to use the pool, but I imagine it's nice in the warmer months. - The rooms were clean - The beds were comfortable - The dinner at the restaurant was nice (the desserts were a bit underwhelming, but the pastas were delicious) Cons: - We experienced a lot of noise in our rooms at night. At first we thought it was very loud TV coming from the room between us, but then I started to wonder if it was actually coming through the vents or the ceiling. We could hear loud voices (until midnight) and also the scraping of furniture (which is odd, because my room had only a single chair that could be moved). I spoke with the front desk and the man in charge said he would address it, but I never heard from him again. Because we needed to be up early for work, sleep was essential. Being kept awake until midnight by chaotic noise wasn't fun. - The black-out blinds in both our rooms were a bit broken/stuck and couldn't close properly without a lot of force. - The breakfast wasn't very good compared to the hotels we stayed at in Florence. For example, there was only 1 type of cheese (sliced swiss cheese), nothing local. Would have appreciated a little more variety of vegetables, fruit, and cheese.

I've tried the restaurant several times. It's surprising that there's such a high-quality chef outside of Florence. I've always eaten very well. Well done. Beautiful dining room, and the space downstairs is also lovely for parties. No one ever thinks about it, but then when you go to the bathroom and find lots of clean, well-organized restrooms, you're left satisfied.

The space needs updating and is a bit neglected. The New Year's Eve party was well organized.
