I've been frequenting this historic restaurant in Montevarchi for years, and Daniele and Riccardo's cuisine is consistently excellent. I'm giving it five stars because of its history, the quality of the food, and the owner, who has proven himself to be a very kind person, as always. I'd like to point out a recent, truly unpleasant incident. Unfortunately, his colleague (or wife) and a friend who was present were decidedly suspicious and racist, even making prejudiced comments about receipts and the fact that black people don't pay; an absurdity that I even had to challenge and defend on the spot. Such behavior in a public place is unacceptable. I hope they'll be careful in the future, because the owners' skill and the quality of the dishes don't deserve to be ruined by similar blunders.

The food is delicious, with a very well-balanced combination of flavors. The restaurant has a stylish atmosphere. The service is top-notch. Be careful with the opening hours, as we were turned away from the restaurant earlier because the opening hours on Google were different from the actual ones. Despite this, I'm very pleased with my visit to this restaurant.

Located near the historic center of Montevarchi. The clean and well-appointed atmosphere is managed with care and dedication by Daniele, who welcomes you with kindness and guides you on a memorable tasting experience. Very good dishes, balanced pairings, and fresh ingredients. Excellent value. Tasting menu for €30, including water and house wine. We highly recommend it.

22/07/2026: The restaurant is located on the edge of Monte San Savino's old town and offers a beautiful view. There were four of us, and we were given a table on the terrace. The terrace gradually became more crowded, so it's advisable to reserve a table. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and they even found solutions for minor issues. For example, they divided two appetizer platters between the four of us. The food was excellent and plentiful. The desserts were a true delight, leaving us very happy and satisfied. We can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant, even if it is perhaps a bit pricey.
17/07/2026: A hidden gem that deserves every single 5⭐! From the moment you arrive, you can tell this is a true family-run restaurant. The son is the chief in the kitchen, while the parents are welcoming and serving guests alongside the rest of the team. You can genuinely feel how much they care about every guest and every little detail, creating such a warm and authentic atmosphere.❤️ The restaurant itself is beautiful.: minimalistic, elegant and stylish without trying too hard. If you can, book a table on the terrace. Watching the sunset over the rolling hills and rooftops of Monte San Savino is simply magical. ❤️But the real star is the food. The chefs respect local Tuscan ingredients and traditions while adding fresh, creative twists that make every dish really memorable. The tuna tartare with peach sauce was a wonderful surprise and the ravioli filled with grouper served with mint and pea sauce was incredibly delicate and perfectly balanced. The absolute highlight for me was the octopus with homemade squid ink mayonnaise.. without exaggeration, one of the best octopus dishes I’ve ever had in my life (and I eat a lot of seafood!). The paccheri with octopus and stracciatella were equally unforgettable. The flavours worked so beautifully together that you simply can’t resist doing a proper scarpetta at the end 🙈. Portions are generous without being overwhelming, making it easy to enjoy a full Italian dinner, from antipasti through primi and secondi to dessert. A restaurant full of passion, genuine hospitality and outstanding cuisine. We’ll definitely be back whenever we’re in Tuscany. Highly, highly recommended!!!

Ristorante Il Cerro

03/05/2026: An excellent dining experience at this historic restaurant in Caprese Michelangelo, family-run for decades and offering a very good value. Start with a house platter, accompanied by warm, freshly fried focaccia, a delicious truffle salad, warm soufflés, and fried porcini mushrooms. The first courses are homemade and fully reflect the flavors of the region. Second courses include grilled pork, veal, and lamb, or, for those who prefer, a plate of local cheeses. You can finish on a sweet note with creamy custards, biscotti, or homemade tartlets. Oh... the house wine from nearby Umbria is highly recommended. Much credit to Alfredo, his partner, and their entire staff!
30/04/2026: We went to Cerro for lunch, and had a mixed antipasto and two first courses. The dishes were truly delicious. The hint of porcini mushrooms in the dishes was wonderful! The setting is very beautiful and well-kept.
