26/09/2025: The charcuterie and cheese platter for two was very good, varied, and filling. The only small flaw was that everything was a bit too salty for our tastes, but nothing serious, we thoroughly enjoyed it. The same goes for the torta al testo with mortadella, pecorino, and truffle cream. The service was perhaps a little slow to bring the platter (we waited half an hour and there was no one else eating), but the staff was super friendly and helpful, no complaints. The atmosphere is very relaxed, friendly, and not at all chaotic (at least on a Monday night), with the option of even watching a league match. The prices are absolutely fair, perhaps even affordable, for the quality and quantity they offer. We will definitely be back.

25/09/2025: I absolutely do not recommend it. I felt sick after eating here, and the place is dirty and has tables in the middle of the street.

14/12/2025: Ordering takeout was, unfortunately, a very disappointing experience. The pizza arrived soft, flaccid, and devoid of any character, with a dough that neither looks nor bites appealing. The flavor is almost nonexistent, and the ingredients, few and of decidedly basic quality, fail to enhance the dish in the slightest. This would already be questionable, but it becomes frankly irritating when you consider the disproportionate prices: high-end pizzeria prices for a product that isn't. The quality-price ratio is one of the worst I've experienced recently. I wouldn't return, nor would I recommend it. When you charge those prices, you need much higher standards.

15/11/2025: I finally ate the real Neapolitan cartwheel pizza, tasty, thin and melting in the mouth, and as per tradition it came out of the plate, but cooked at too high a heat, in some places it was slightly burnt, on the other hand the best Neapolitan pizza I have ever eaten

14/02/2026: Absolutely negative experience. We had a table of 25 people for Valentine's Day dinner and paid €40 per person for the fish menu. Half the table wasn't served, as two pasta dishes should have been enough for everyone. Despite asking for explanations, we only received rudeness from the staff. I understand the confusion of the evening, but I believe I should use the service I paid for, which wasn't even a small part of what happened.

14/04/2026: This was my best meal in Sicily. Nestled by the seaside, the restaurant offers a unique experience that invites you to unwind, relax, and truly take in all that panoramic Sicily has to offer. I enjoyed several courses and was especially impressed by the chef’s kindness and his willingness to explain each dish as if it were a work of art (which they are). I even asked how it was possible that the fresh pasta is perfectly al dente, but he smiled and kept his secrets. This place is something special, only this chef could create food like this. As you take in the scent of the sea, feel the breeze on your skin, and watch seabirds soaring overhead, you realize this is more than just a meal. It’s an experience that changes your perspective on what it means to eat Sicilian food. As someone that has lived in Italy for many years, this meal remains memorable and it’s why I am writing this review almost 5 months later, it is a meal that lives rent free in my mind. I can’t wait to return to Sicily and eat here again!

12/04/2026: Warning: More appearance than substance Based on hearsay, we decided to try this restaurant anyway, stopping by for Sunday lunch, despite some discouraging rumors. Unfortunately, the experience confirmed what we'd already been told. The quality of the food was far below expectations, with dishes lacking identity and attention to detail. The service leaves much to be desired: inattentive, disorganized, and far from what one would expect from a restaurant that aspires to a certain level. Notable absences, such as a proper wine list and table linens, contribute to the unprofessional image of the entire establishment. It's also unfortunate to note certain unfair dynamics: one gets the feeling that the restaurant tried to influence reviews by involving people close to it. If that were the case, it would be a lack of transparency and far from the values ​​of healthy, meritocratic dining. A real shame, because some things just aren't done.

02/01/2026: I don't usually write reviews. The last time was a couple of years ago for a large warehouse store in Catania, where no one answered the phone. I mixed this with something else, but this is still the most read, and they still hate me. But I can't help it. I was there this December 31, 2025, for New Year's Eve. I was used to the old management, where all the old-fashioned farming tools hung on the walls, true peasant culture of the past. I hope they've ended up in a museum. So everything's been repainted but bare, it feels like a service station, but that's the manager's decision. I can't expect to eat with a copy of Botticelli's Venus displayed in the Pitti Palace in Florence in front of me. But not with a worse view either. The food was decent, let's say, given that in these cases you have to serve mass-produced food. Service for the day was quick. What I didn't like: My table was the closest as the crow flies to Djay. But to his left, so I could hear distorted music, which was horrible for me. For someone like me, now retired, who as a hobby sells online, high-fidelity equipment, especially vintage for home and other purposes, throughout Europe upon request, even in China, Russia (before the war), and even America—this was when certain objects were owned by me and only me in the entire world. It wasn't pleasant to my ear, accustomed to much higher quality music, but for one evening it was fine. But I had different music. Nothing between me and the DJ, just space to dance with a constant crowd of jumping and screaming children. Why would I go to the lido in the summer and pay to avoid all this? I might as well go to the public beach and get kicked by balls and sand from other people's running children. It wasn't a peaceful meal. But the worst of all was the table reserved for me. Far from a Botticelli painting, the worst view, because within three, if not two, meters of the bathroom entrance, there were no other tables. The closest was mine, with a crowd coming and going. And if they were occupied, a crowd of standing statues waiting next to me. No. I'm sorry. That's the place where some restaurants, with humanity, feed the needy, without charging. THE place of the poor. If you put me there in Sicilian, you don't have a nose, but the soul of the shopkeeper counting pennies in the back room. And you can't make me look like a poor man twice over by sending someone who looked like the head waiter to tell me we were the only ones left who hadn't paid yet. And he even had a surprised look on his face! As if we were out of place! It's the restaurant that's totally out of place in terms of manners. It's normal for me to pay at the exit, as I've always done. Under the old management, where I've been hundreds of times, they didn't ask me to pay first; they rolled out the red carpet for me. I went to pay. Without opening my wallet to show my credit cards. That would have been ostentatious. In cash to show I had the money, and it's there. If I did it out of contempt, it's pointless to say, because they didn't understand. If I had to go from Bolognetta, where I have a second home, to Marineo, if there were a slip road, I'd take it. There isn't one. I'll just walk by without looking.

19/02/2026: Negative home delivery service, I waited an hour for half a chicken, and took the order when there was still no one there, you have lost a customer, it is not the first time they have been late, and if I had not called, I would still have waited, NEVER AGAIN

05/03/2026: The pizza was good, but the hot appetizer was sparse, with only panelle, croquettes, and mozzarella balls, and was very expensive for the quantity offered—a portion for three people cost €15. Another thing that bothered me a little was the online menu prices didn't match the prices applied and listed on the in-house menu. Like the large coccole, which were on the 1.5-liter menu for €2.50, while I paid €10.00 for two 1-liter ones at the restaurant. And so much more... It's a shame because I really enjoyed the pizza.

22/12/2025: A simple little restaurant, but that doesn't mean it's not good quality. The menu is limited, but it has everything to satisfy those who want good food. I had the mussel soup with a very good, not too heavy sauce. The squid was also good, cooked properly and flavorful. Prices are reasonable, not expensive. The atmosphere is clean, and the service is friendly.

03/03/2026: Caffetteria del Viale is an excellent café that I've visited often, both for breakfast at the counter and at the table. My wife and I enjoyed a delicious coffee, and we also sampled their deli offerings, which boast good quality products. The same can be said for their pastries, which offer excellent quality typical Palermo products. Coffee and cappuccino were also excellent. I found the table service a little less efficient, serving promptly, though the staff was very kind and helpful. I must say the atmosphere is very quiet and clean, a place frequented by all types of people: from workers to occasional passers-by, from regulars to those who come specifically to sample their specialties. I can add that Caffetteria del Viale is an excellent business, run by staff who are dedicated and professional. It's a place frequented by a large number of customers daily, so the food is fresh and made daily. The table service has improved significantly, with greater attention to timing and table cleanliness.
