I was passing through Mondello with my sister and we stopped to eat at this restaurant... we delighted our palates with mussels and pasta with sardines and fennel... we really enjoyed everything... Vincenzo made us spend a moment of haute Mediterranean cuisine... we will be back soon... highly recommended... Giuseppe and Marisa from Turin 🙂🙂

Lunch time visit , very good food , nice restaurant, off the beach in the old town , they are digging up the promenade so no views to the see , but please try this place

It had been recommended to me as a good, rural trattoria. In reality, I thought it was more touristy than rural, and the proverbial Sicilian food, which is good everywhere, left a lot to be desired, especially the olive oil used, which is very low-quality, and this affects all the dishes. I won't be returning.

A unique experience at Piero's in Mondello. We went for two consecutive nights at the end of May and found the atmosphere unique and special. The food was incredibly fresh, the staff friendly, and Piero was truly one of a kind! You'll stay in our hearts forever! Highly recommended.

I was taken to this trattoria by a local and was introduced to Piero the chef owner. He gave me the most beautiful food, tastes of many dishes all of them beautifully cooked using fresh ingredients. The highlight is his octopus salad, but the small buns(!) filled with caponata, or anchovy and fresh tomato were a revelation of flavours. The from the house olives to the house pistachio ice cream, the whole experience was delightful
And intense, brightly coloured plates and flowers and fruits and vegetable hanging from every rafter of the terrace. The house belonged to his grandfather, also Piero, who was a fisherman. I can imagine on a busy weekend the it would be hard to get a table but on a quiet Wednesday there were three businessmen, a journalist and a footballer and two families with sandy children running around. Piero cooks next to the tables to an intense soundtrack. A truly unique experience.

What can I say? I've always come to Trattoria da Piero... I grew up there...
And even now, after living in the North for several years, when I return, it gives me so much serenity because it welcomes me and always puts me at ease, like when you go to a friend or relative... a unique sense of familiarity, made of small gestures and great thoughtfulness, never redundant but full of heart. ..of that simple...authentic heart. The Sicilian heart that is reflected in the environment created and recreated anew every year by Enzo's creative flair, by his love for the traditions and colors of his land and for what he does... everyone in this place contributes to creating love around the customer... who is no longer a customer... attention and care for anyone who comes in contact with them... impeccable service with "Picciotti"... simply wonderful... and last but not least, the authenticity of the dishes in line with the local tradition.
I will always return, endlessly, to where I feel at home and I eat well
Thanks to all of you, I'll take you to Romagna too... See you soon.
