01/05/2026: On a tour that took in most of Sicily's towns, we ate one of the best gelatos ever here. There's a huge selection, but it's a shame it's not in a pedestrian zone and that during peak hours there's a lot of traffic from cars and motorcycles on the street facing the veranda with tables.

01/04/2026: Very well-stocked pastry shop, everything very fresh 💪 it's a welcoming place and the staff is kind and qualified. They make the best taralle in all the nearby towns.

19/04/2026: Our host recommended this place for breakfast. We ordered: an Iris frutta with ricotta and two apostle's fingers. The quality and deliciousness of these two desserts was amazing. Highly recommended, but be aware that you can't sit down.

19/05/2026: On Sunday 17th May I was invited to two communions by Gioele La Barca and Diego Millunzi. Let's start with the poor waiters, they didn't know what to do, damaged by a nightmare kitchen, from the appetizer to the fruit, or rather the fruit wasn't there, to the lemon sorbet, sorry, there wasn't a second course, they served us a slice of unknown fish with very thin potatoes on top that tasted like a rip-off. 2 miserable prawns, then a saffron and prawn risotto, overcooked, like glue and with a very fluorescent, super yellow colour, a first course, always with prawns and I don't know what, this one was also overcooked. The appetizer was a squid salad, canned tuna caponata, smoked salmon with mozzarella and an overcooked prawn tempura, it can't be cooked like this, I don't recommend it even to my worst enemy, who failed.

19/05/2026: We just celebrated the first communion of my son, Gioele La Barca, and my nephew, Diego Millunzi. What can I say... everything was TERRIBLE... from the cleanliness to the lunch, to the service. It was the worst reception we've ever attended... I wouldn't recommend it even to my worst enemy, and not just because of the exorbitant price.

28/01/2026: A cool bar with an interesting, dark atmosphere. The yellow lamps with a red accent add a great effect. They also offer free popcorn with your beer.

10/05/2026: A very large space, well-organized internal service. Excellent pastries, a wide variety of Sicilian and non-Sicilian specialties, delicious ice cream, and a deli to boot. There's an indoor dining area for lunch or aperitifs, or other drinks with friends, and there's also a tobacconist and Sisal point. The spaces are well-maintained and clean. The staff is knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. I enjoy an excellent frothy coffee with cocoa made by Simona, perhaps one of the best between Pelermo and Isola delle Femme.

03/06/2026: I arrived at Ciccio in Pentola with an illustrious recommendation, and that alone raised the bar. The risk, in these cases, is that anticipation surpasses reality. Here, the opposite happened. Reality took its place, smiled, and began serving dishes that were more convincing than the last. We ate outside, in the gentle June breeze, but above all, the interior speaks volumes about the place. Palermitan elegance without ostentation, exposed stone, well-kept tables, just the right lighting, and that rare sense of welcome without being invasive. Then there are the owners, present with grace, and especially Bruno, who deserves a special mention. He didn't simply recommend. He accompanied the meal with intelligence, reading the table, the taste, and the moment. From the dishes to the wine, every choice came naturally, without textbook rigidity or unnecessary theatricality. The raw fish was incredibly fresh, clean, and crisp, with that quality that needs no tricks. Scampi, shrimp, tartare, and cod all spoke the language of the sea, but with perfect diction. The paccheri with shrimp was a small manifesto of Mediterranean cuisine. Pasta, tomato, shellfish, a flavorful base, and balance. No frills, just well-prepared ingredients and a sure hand. Even the catch of the day, with potatoes, cherry tomatoes, capers, and olives, or in a slightly smoked version, had that Sicilian tone, capable of being both simple and cultured, down-to-earth and precise. The wine was chosen with the same logic. Not to impress, but to accompany. A local wine, consistent with the meal, served without posturing. And when a wine truly accompanies, it means someone has understood the meal before even pouring it. In short, five stars because six can't be given. But that's the gist. A place where you eat very well, feel better, and leave with the rare feeling of having been not simply served, but cared for. In Palermo, there are many ways to experience the sea. Here at Ciccio's, the sea arrives at the table polite, generous, and in splendid form.

24/05/2026: The food was good, fresh fish and dishes with slightly unusual recipes. Everything was very good, but the plates weren't particularly large, and I personally found the prices high. For about 10 people, we each had one course (first or second course), mixed appetizers, two Grillo wines, and a non-alcoholic drink or Spritz before dinner. The main courses ranged between €20 and €30, which I thought was excessive, especially considering the portions, which weren't particularly generous, but the food was very good. The location is a small, well-organized restaurant with just a few seats. The service was quick, but I found the head waiter to be a bit intrusive and unpleasant. I won't return, even though I ate very well. The prices were too high for the portions (though the quality was good). I didn't appreciate the presence of the head waiter (I don't know if he's the owner).

27/01/2026: We were traveling through Sicily in our campervan, intending only to wander around, but due to various circumstances, we ended up staying in San Cipirello for a few weeks. On our second day, we stumbled upon the Marena Bar by chance. To cut a long story short, that was the beginning of us becoming regulars. The staff was incredibly friendly, the coffee and cappuccino were perfect, and the typical Sicilian desserts were simply fantastic! Everything was always fresh – we sampled our way through the entire counter and couldn't find a single thing that wasn't absolutely delicious. So we went to this bar every single day and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We would have loved to take the bar, its staff, and even the kitchen/pastry shop home with us! We've never found anything this good in Germany, even though we often go out for cappuccino, both at home and while traveling. The small pastries are perfect because they not only taste great but are also quite small – AND you can't compare the price – that would be unfair. In San Cipirello, we often paid €6 for two cappuccinos and two sweet treats. ...and you don't even find things like cannoli here. In short: If I could give more than 5 stars, this bar would get them all!!!

11/03/2026: Two years after my daughter's 18th birthday party, I chose you again for my second daughter's graduation. I must say, you're always amazing, with a dreamlike atmosphere and incredibly kind and attentive staff. Mr. Ninni is always available and ready to accommodate guests' requests. The head waiter is very professional, as is his assistant, Giusy, and the entire staff. They pay particular attention to food intolerances (two celiacs were thrilled). The food is plentiful, high-quality, and, above all, beautifully presented. See you at the next joyful event life has to offer. Thank you all.

13/05/2026: Helpful friendly staff made us feel right at home. We chose a Calamari Frittura starter and a Caprese salad, both light meals to share. They were excellent, the salad particularly refreshing. Complimentary bread with olive oil and balsamic was an additional treat.

09/05/2026: The waitress was very friendly and attentive, the food and atmosphere were excellent. I recommend the lasagna.
