20/03/2026: We went to the cinema in Nardo and afterward we were craving pizza, so we went to this place, convinced by the many positive reviews. But I have to say we were completely disappointed, both with the place and the pizzas. Perhaps because, given the reviews, we were expecting something different, the pizzas were barely okay.

24/02/2026: Very good food and very friendly staff. The place was very crowded and the wait to get a table was long. But we were aware of this because the staff had let us know when we booked. Recommended if you're not in a hurry.

The cuisine is true traditional: excellent, flavorful dishes, and generous portions. All this is accompanied by extremely kind, welcoming, and attentive staff. A truly special evening... one of those places where you leave with a smile and the desire to return soon!

24/02/2026: Lunch today was excellent, as always, at Osteria dei Briganti, in the heart of Gallipoli's historic center. A wide selection of the freshest fish, cooked according to Gallipoli's age-old tradition. A welcoming and relaxing atmosphere awaits you within the ancient tuff walls of this restaurant, a regular haunt of ours, where we've never been disappointed. The weighing of the fish is clear and communicated in advance. Today, we specifically enjoyed a white sea bream and roasted cuttlefish: a delight. Occasionally, cheerful voices could be heard from the kitchen staff, and this gave me a sense of the organizational atmosphere here. This isn't a quick-and-easy stop for unsuspecting tourists; it's a place where they serve the freshest fish that's hard to find. Fully satisfied and rewarded with the "divine love" desserts at the end of the meal. I had only heard of Chef Andrea, but today I clearly understood the reason for the unanimous high regard he has earned, well beyond Salento. Well done everyone. A very fair price, considering the quality. Highly recommended. AAA +++

17/02/2026: We had the pleasure of dining at Osteria Briganti one evening while on vacation in Gallipoli. Not much to say: excellent food, top-notch service, attentive customer service, and an elegant atmosphere at reasonable prices. The catch of the day was very much appreciated. We'll definitely be back.

06/10/2025: A pleasant evening with friends in a welcoming atmosphere, with friendly staff and excellent pizza with a perfect, very light dough. I highly recommend trying the excellent artisanal spumoni, especially the pistachio one with candied clementines. The chocolate one with cocoa beans and figs is also excellent. Parking is difficult, but not impossible.

08/03/2026: First time at this pub-restaurant with a group of friends, and I must say we were all pleasantly surprised. Excellent atmosphere and perfect service despite it being a special occasion. Wonderful waitresses, always smiling. Truly excellent food! We ordered some meat and various sandwiches, but we're eager to return for your first courses. 05/01/2026: First time at Gioré, excellent experience. Very pretty and charming location, converted from a 17th-century oil mill, expertly renovated. Impeccable welcome and very friendly, polite, and precise service. We tried the tagliolini with wild boar ragù, very good and a generous portion. The potato gnocchi with saffron and monkfish were truly delicious 😋, very fresh and delicate but rich in flavor. The duck CBT was very good, especially the combination with the pumpkin sauce. The desserts are also well-crafted: the dark chocolate cake was delicious, and the tiramisu was a surprise, especially for its unusual, evocative, and innovative plating 😄🤩. Absolutely not to be overlooked is the selection of homemade breads, three different types (whole wheat, white, and pumpkin), delicious and ideal for enjoying a glass of good Salento olive oil 👍👍. The quality/price ratio is medium-high, but the ingredients are expensive and the dishes are worth it... Well done everyone, congratulations guys 🍷👏👏, a great evening with great background music 🎶, a relaxing atmosphere. We'll definitely be back to try the other items on the menu.

12/10/2025: Just like a bar should be. Darklit, moody and with spectacular cocktails. Staff are pro. No muss no fuss no drama. They mix a most wonderful Negroni, taking the time to chill it properly. I may have had one too many but hey it's vacation. Not a place for kids or someone looking for cheap drinks. Top drawer all the way!

13/03/2026: A modern restaurant just outside the old city center. For us the first time to visit. We were early so the place was empty. That made the atmosphere on that moment a little bit less. Also the plastic flowers are not ideal to improve the ambiance. However the place was empty only two tables were presented close to the entry and toilets. That was a bummer because at the end of the restaurant there is a very cosy place to sit with an outdoor fireplace. The food was good, but not excellent. The service was also just good. We loved the drafted beer, that was an unexpected good beer to drink. All by all a nice evening, but regarding to previous reviews we left with a small disappointing feeling.

16/12/2025: The kindness and attentiveness to customer requests are worthy of imitation. Dishes are expertly prepared, showcasing the finest ingredients. A special mention goes to the mushroom crostoni, which we ordered a second helping. The restaurant is small, and although modernly furnished, it could use some updating, especially in the bathrooms.

28/02/2026: A lovely little seafood restaurant right in the main square of Castro Marina. Excellent dishes are selected from a simple yet substantial and high-quality menu. Good wine selection. Attentive and attentive service. A very pleasant location both in winter and summer with outdoor seating. Reasonable prices. Parking is a bit difficult, but not impossible.
