16/10/2025: Bakery offering quality bread, friselline, and biscuits, all expertly made in the old-fashioned way, and you can taste it! My only suggestion (I hope it's implemented) would be to see the words "Wood-fired oven" written on both the sign and the product labels: but Mr. Piero is absorbed in his work and less in communication. Perhaps he takes this type of baking for granted, which is a tradition here, but requires a great deal of effort and dedication from those who make it and shouldn't be underestimated. However, I think it's worth HIGHLIGHTING: everyone in the area knows about it, but there are also tourists and those just passing through, and this could help them better understand and appreciate the effort put into producing their baked goods.

21/10/2025: This pizzeria is a wonderful discovery, offering freshly made gluten-free pizzas and a wide variety of toppings. Superb service and delicious gluten-free desserts. I highly recommend it!

06/10/2025: Yet another terrible experience. 1) the waitress was irritated and impatient, especially towards the older person at the table. 2) the desserts were terrible quality. 3) the cream-filled pasticciotto had cinnamon added or I don't know what else! Attention! ⚠️ You have to tell us the ingredients! What if I was allergic? 4) Expressino: No Comment! ...the name remained... and the appearance!!! It's so true that... not everyone knows about quality! Yet another time of Dissatisfaction!!! And, unfortunately, it's the same bad experience that my acquaintances and friends had... ouch! More seriousness and commitment! Thank you

12/11/2025: Excellent meat. Very friendly service. We arrived without a table and they did their best to find us one. In the end, we enjoyed a delicious, high-quality burger at a high table outside. Definitely recommended. Thanks, guys!

03/11/2025: As soon as it arrived, the smell of the grill made me realize I was about to eat something special. The burger was simply spectacular: soft but lightly toasted bread, juicy and perfectly cooked meat, with that touch of smoky flavor that makes all the difference. The sauces were balanced, not overpowering the ingredients but enhancing them, and every bite was an explosion of flavor. Even the crispy, golden fries completed the experience impeccably. You can taste the attention to detail and the passion of those who prepare it: nothing is left to chance. A burger this good makes you want to come back the next day... and maybe even the same day! 🍔🔥

22/09/2025: Service was quite cold might have been because we didn’t speak much Italian but we were trying servers seemed quite frustrated with us but we tried. We ordered a few dishes the stars were the baked mussels 10/10! And the Irish beef with Bree and potatoes was excellent the cook on the steak was perfect and we enjoyed both dishes thoroughly. We also had the lobster pasta dish which was good but the lobster wasn’t cracked and didn’t provide any utensils to get into the legs and claws so was quite difficult to eat.

06/09/2025: We had a lovely girl’s night dinner here, so here is a breakdown of how it went: We were greeted promptly and seated at a table in their whimsical garden. There is an extensive wine list, we opted for a sparkling rosé which was just perfect for a warm evening. For starters we shared the octopus alla Luciana - it was cooked to perfection : Tender, flavourful, and crispy in the right places. The chef is very creative with her flavours but it’s not overpowering at all. We also shared the cozze gratinate: very interesting twist on the classic, using smoked provolone cheese. Delicious ! I had the calamarata with swordfish and tuna, basil, tomatoes and pangrattato - now I’m not sure what these comments saying the fish isn’t fresh come from - the fish was VERY fresh, and I live here so I know the difference. The pasta was perfectly cooked, 10/10. My girlfriends had the lamb, which was very good and served with cherries, and the Ombrina fish in limoncello butter sauce - divine. I know it sounds weird but the flavours are delicate and very well balanced. We didn’t get dessert because we met up with other friends after, but were offered some shortbread cookies on the house. Thank you to the staff for this unforgettable experience ! I will be back.

25/10/2025: A small village restaurant with a warm welcome and delicious, generous cuisine. We ate very well. It's not a tourist trap, which is a real pleasure. We'll be back.

03/11/2025: I had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant for the first time. I had a wonderful appetizer and main course, expertly prepared, and you could taste the fresh ingredients. There are two larger and two smaller rooms. What I noticed was the true professionalism, and the tables were all well-spaced, giving everyone plenty of room to move around and be comfortable. I also want to applaud the staff, who were incredibly kind and helpful. I will definitely be back soon for a lovely evening with family and friends.

18/10/2025: There's no need to fuss over the service and the location; both are acceptable but certainly not excellent. The food is worth it: excellent in quality and portions. Would I go back? Yes.... We will definitely go back.

22/10/2025: Excellent choice in San Cesario de Lecce. We ordered some fries and the burrata, mortadella, and pistachio pizza, and it was a delicacy. Very attentive and friendly. We ate there; there are two small tables outside. Many people came to place their orders. We would eat here again.

27/09/2025: A wonderful little place in a small Italian town! We had dinner here several times and tried different pizzas each time – one with traditional dough and one gluten-free. Both were amazing, and the gluten-free pizza was by far the best I’ve ever had in Italy! The staff were incredibly kind, we always got a table on the patio, and the owner was genuinely delighted to welcome visitors from Poland. Each time we were treated to limoncello and grappa, which made us feel truly special. Nowhere else in Italy have we experienced such warm hospitality. Highly recommended – and if we return to Puglia, we’ll definitely come back!

14/10/2025: We were guests at this restaurant to celebrate a birthday and ate typical Salento dishes, each dish expertly prepared with top-quality ingredients. Everything was delicious and tasty. Highly recommended!

08/09/2025: I just wrote a review for Lu Spilu. I'll do it again. This restaurant, both traditional and otherwise, is excellent. The ingredients are top-quality, the owners are kind but not intrusive. The lady who prepares the desserts is very imaginative and original. You won't find it on the tourist circuit. It's located in Andrano on a small street. You won't regret trying it.
