Ex noto ristorante della zona ristrutturato e allargato ad uso di relais. Un ambiente apparentemente semplice ma in verità molto curato anche se le volte altissime lo rendono un po’ freddo. Menù con i piatti della tradizione salentina molto ben fatti con ottima scelta delle materie prime. Servizio impeccabile forse favorito anche dalle poche presenze….ci torneremo in piena estate per verificare. Prezzo più che adeguato. Bravi!

Last night, four of us dined together and had a truly enjoyable experience. We were greeted with kindness and professionalism, and the service was attentive and prompt throughout the evening. The menu offers sophisticated dishes with a clear reference to tradition, beautifully presented and impeccably flavored. We finished with a truly delicious, revisited tiramisu, which capped off the dinner in style. The bill was more than fair for the quality. We'll definitely be back!

It's not what it used to be. The cuisine was truly traditional. I hadn't been there in a long time. Management has changed. Still a nice place, though.

Nella sperduta Taviano abbiamo trovato questo piccolo gioiello nascosto. Appena entrati abbiamo percepito una piacevole calorosità, data da un ambiente semplice, curato ma allo stesso tempo elegante, con una nota di tradizionalità data dall’arredamento molto rustico e ricco di dettagli, impreziosito dal calore del camino acceso che rendeva tutto più accomodante. Un tocco speciale è dato dalla splendida vista nel loro curato giardino esterno, nella quale è possibile gustare il pasto nel periodo estivo. Appena accomodati, siamo stati accolti da un personale molto cordiale, attento e disponibile, che ci ha deliziato con un flut di prosecco di benvenuto e delle fragranti pittule accompagnate da un gustoso vin cotto. Abbiamo iniziato con un antipasto misto, che comprendeva degli squisiti bocconcini di ricotta fritta, la classica parmigiana, baccalà in pastella, polpo alla pignata e altre degustazioni di terra e mare. Come primo abbiamo preso dei gustosi gnocchi alla zucca fatti a mano con guanciale, provola di Agerola affumicata e salsa di datterino giallo e le tradizionali orecchiette al grano arso con verdurine, guanciale croccante e fonduta di provola affumicata. Una combinazione di sapori impeccabile, data dal gusto deciso delle verdure, la dolcezza delle salse, la croccantezza del guanciale e la cremosità della fonduta, tutto perfettamente bilanciato. Il prezzo assolutamente in linea con la qualità dei piatti e l’impeccabile servizio. Se ami il Salento e vuoi scoprire i sapori, l’autenticità e l’ospitalità, Casa Martino è un posto che non devi assolutamente perdere! Non solo un ristorante, ma letteralmente un’esperienza che merita di essere vissuta.

In the remote village of Taviano, we found this little hidden gem. As soon as we entered, we felt a pleasant warmth, created by a simple, well-kept yet elegant atmosphere, with a touch of tradition from the very rustic and richly detailed furnishings, enhanced by the warmth of the fireplace, which made everything even more welcoming. A special touch is the splendid view from their well-kept outdoor garden, where you can enjoy your meal in the summer. As soon as we sat down, we were greeted by very friendly, attentive, and helpful staff, who delighted us with a welcome glass of prosecco and fragrant pittule (fried pasta) accompanied by a tasty vin cotto (cooked wine). We began with a mixed antipasto, which included exquisite fried ricotta bites, classic parmigiana, battered cod, octopus alla pignata (cooked octopus), and other land and sea appetizers. For our first course, we ordered delicious handmade pumpkin gnocchi with guanciale, smoked Agerola provola, and yellow datterino tomato sauce, followed by traditional orecchiette pasta with burnt wheat, vegetables, crispy guanciale, and smoked provola fondue. A flawless combination of flavors, the bold flavor of the vegetables, the sweetness of the sauces, the crunchiness of the guanciale, and the creaminess of the fondue—all perfectly balanced. The price was absolutely in line with the quality of the dishes and the impeccable service. If you love Salento and want to discover its flavors, authenticity, and hospitality, Casa Martino is a place you absolutely must not miss!
