La Chiacchieretta In Vernole

I expected something more. The fried food was good, light and crispy (meatballs, pittule, potato croquettes, and arancini). The pieces were good but bland. The turnips were decent: too much (really too much!) garlic and not enough chili pepper. The service was decent but occasionally absent. The outdoor seating and table setting could definitely be improved... simplicity, yes, but not too much, because the dishes are quite expensive considering they're in a small village. All in all, a pleasant little place, but definitely touristy and more suited to a winter atmosphere.

We were here on July 26th for dinner. Very quiet little place. Only tables outside due to the heat, but it's quaint. The mixed fried appetizer was exceptional. Plenty for two. Spaghetti Giulietto was fabulous. The portion was more than generous. Friendly staff. And then... coffee with a moka pot. Overall, I would recommend dinner here. Try it!!

Really nice place :) The appetizers were delicious, the first courses a little more average! But the place is lovely and the recipes are definitely different from the usual!

I booked at Struda', an excellent location between Lecce and the most beautiful beaches in Salento, but first I checked to see if there was a restaurant... The photos were excellent and the reviews even better. We went for dinner and, besides meeting the owner Maria Grazia, an excellent hostess and cook, we ate deliciously!!!! I recommend it, and if we return to Salento, we will return there. Well done Maria Grazia!!!

We were there on Easter Monday.....what can I say, everything was super good, the staff were kind and very helpful, the owner is a super chef, from the starter to the dessert, everything was excellent...we will gladly return!!!!!
