05/05/2025: *5 stars!* I just left the Red Moon Pizzeria in Palmariggi, a few km from Otranto. I was thrilled with how incredible it is! The cleanliness is impeccable! Every detail is meticulously cared for. The staff was super welcoming and professional, they made us feel at home. Pizza? Fantastic! The crust is crunchy, the sauce is fresh and tasty. The service was very fast and the staff was very attentive to our needs. The value for money is fantastic. I highly recommend this pizzeria to everyone! If you are a pizza lover, you can't miss it. I'll be back soon! *Rating: 5/5 stars* P.S. If you want some advice, try the "Quattro Formaggi"

04/05/2025: A look beyond the counter and it seems to be in one of the many "by the slice" pizzerias in New York. Instead we find ourselves in an unsuspected place in Palmariggi that serves excellent pizzas, succulent pieces of horse meat from the Salento tradition, mixed grills, rotisserie, donuts and various desserts, superlative burgers and even very fresh craft beers produced in the back of the shop. My complete burger, with two hundred gram Irish Angus, is the winner of the evening, I have no doubts. But on the podium it also brings with it the commendable English IPA and the friendliness of the owners. Before leaving, someone suggested me Maxi Bufalo Burger and an interesting off-menu recipe. So I have at least a couple of good reasons to go back, don't you think?!

01/05/2025: I booked at Gustavo's in Galatone for May Day, starting from Nardò (just 5 km away), in a group of 8 people. What can I say? It was an incredible surprise! The €30 fixed menu was a real bargain: welcome cocktail (alcoholic or non-alcoholic), a rich selection of local cheeses and 5 abundant and delicious starters. The first courses, served in the center to share, were spectacular: paccheri all'assassina, spicy at the right point, and paccheri with lard, creamy and tasty. The highlight, however, was the black suckling pig, very tender and cooked to perfection – an explosion of flavour! To close, an ice cream cone included in the price, truly appreciated. The location is wonderful, with both outdoor and indoor spaces, perfect for enjoying the day. The atmosphere was relaxed and cheerful, accompanied by a DJ set with company music that invited you to sing along. All the food was 0 km, you could feel the quality and freshness. We took bottles of Schola Sarmenti wine (15€), excellent to accompany lunch. The service was friendly and attentive, even though the place was full. I recommend Gustavo to anyone who wants a day of taste and relaxation, perhaps for special occasions or lunches with friends. Da Nardò is very close, and I will return soon!

05/05/2025: Fantastic experience, 5 stars super deserved! Pizzeria Salentina is a real discovery! We ordered a Fumè with multigrain dough: it was a bomb of taste, light but super tasty; and a ham and mushroom: perfect, with fresh and well-balanced ingredients. Plus the craft beers won us over at the first sip! The real added value, however, is the welcome: kindness, smiles and attention that make you feel at home. We will be back very soon and recommend it to everyone!

The place is simple but welcoming thanks also to the friendly and always available staff; the owners are friendly and easy-going, the pizzas are exceptional in taste as well as digestibility. What can I say, 5 stars deserved.

11/09/2024: It's not possible to put more stars, damn.... We have been holidaying in Salento for 7 years and Mr. Jameson is a must... it wouldn't be a holiday otherwise! The place that started out with a very "Irish pub" style with wood everywhere (which I absolutely loved), after the pandemic underwent renovations that lightened and refreshed its appearance. The food, however, has remained the same... excellent, plentiful and refined. They offer typical dishes from Salento but with that extra note that makes them excel over every other restaurant. The service is impeccable, with an elegant simplicity that is the envy of the most beautiful tables.... well, if you haven't been there yet, what are you waiting for? MOVE!!!! Everyone at "Jameson"!!!

24/04/2025: Bastano poche parole per descrivere questo ristorante e sono quelle già riportate nel titolo. Tutto il resto lo fanno la location con la splendida vista mare, la cortesia del personale e la qualità dei piatti on menù. Rapporto qualita/prezzo correlato alla qualità offerta.

25/05/2025: If you're looking for a good burger, keep looking. Unfortunately, we stopped in with high expectations but in addition to extremely slow service, the waitress had an attitude and rolled her eyes and told me "I guess, if it's really necessary" when I asked if it was possible for the fries to come out with the burgers (fries are sold separately and it says that they will probably come out fast because they don't take long to cook). When the fries did arrive, more or less at the same time as the burgers, they were room temperature - which makes me believe they cooked them first and left them sitting there until our burgers were ready. The burgers themselves were a disappointment, the meat was barely seasoned and had none of that smokey flavor or caramelization that you expect, despite having some charring. The bun is almost twice as big as the patty itself, which means you mostly taste bread when you take a bite. The bacon is pancetta, so just be prepared it will not be crispy. Giving 1 star for experience and food and one extra for the only nice wait staff, a young woman with braids and glasses who brought us the drinks and was the only one who didn't make us feel like our presence was an inconvenience. Hands down the only bad meal we've had on our two-week trip.
