It's my first time in Puglia, a beautiful region. I've visited the entire coast from Otranto to Porto Cesareo, but one evening I decided to spend an evening at Locanda dei Camini in Botrugno (LC), recommended by my nephew, a lover of raw fish—not fresh, but very fresh.
I had a delightful evening, starting with the appetizer and ending with the main course, all fish-based, with a few dishes featuring grilled cuttlefish. Everything was excellent, but the Sicilian-style sea bream with tiny capers and local olives was truly exceptional.
Yes, truly, I've never eaten as well as at this restaurant.
Then it all went with an authentic, top-quality French champagne, and to finish, several semifreddos made with cream, pistachio, dark chocolate, and hazelnut spumoni—a true delight.
It was a huge hit with the excellent product.
Fantastic. I'll definitely be back.
The service was impeccable.

This was my first time at Locanda dei Camini, and I had lunch there during a communion celebration. The experience was truly excellent. The raw fish was incredibly fresh, with attention to detail and refined pairings that showcase the quality of the ingredients. The atmosphere was elegant and welcoming, and the service was attentive and professional. A perfect place for those who love quality seafood and want a special experience in the heart of Salento.
The owner was extremely kind; the dining room staff was professional.

Great experience, we dined here with local friends. The food was fresh and carefully prepared. We followed the owner's suggestions, and they were excellent.
I recommend the mixed raw appetizer, and among the cooked dishes, the mackerel eggplant (both delicious).
For the main course, the gratin prawns.
The desserts are also excellent.

I always enjoy coming here, but when mushroom season comes around, I know the porcini mushrooms are simply fabulous.
The fresh tagliolini with porcini mushrooms is a real treat! As is the tagliolini with white truffle.
The appetizers, featuring mushrooms or other seasonal ingredients, are also a real treat.
Meat and fish abound, and quality is paramount.

I had dinner on New Year's Eve with my family, we found the welcome and food top notch, I really appreciated the attention given to my 3-year-old daughter for whom the owner prepared an excellent "tailor-made" dinner, excellent service, excellent food and prices in line, all in a very nice place. I recommend it.
