21/10/2025: Well, let me summarize the story of how a carnivore was amazed by a vegetarian Italian restaurant. First, the impact of the kitchen being open to the tables. Then, being invited to participate in the preparation of the pasta I was about to eat, which Katia, my wife, immediately accepted. But no amount of guidance prepared me for the deliciousness of the starter: a paste of fresh tomatoes, almonds, and spices. It was served with homemade bread. I went to the kitchen to congratulate the chef. Finally, the main course: oricchiette (traditional Puglia pasta) with a cauliflower sauce and Italian-style croutons. Of course, everything was followed by tiramisu. So, once in Italy, after this magnificent meal, I did as the Italians do: I went to the hotel and obeyed my body's greatest desire: I slept.

21/10/2025: A great lunchtime experience at I Primi di Puglia. We were warmly welcomed on the terrace, but as it got busier, we noticed they lost their overview a bit. Fortunately, the food and drinks were served quickly and were delicious. This is the place to go for fresh pasta (they were made a la minute, which you can see inside). After our main courses, it took a while before we were helped back to dessert. But since we were on vacation, this wasn't a problem for us, and we were comfortable. Afterward, we enjoyed a delicious tiramisu (the only thing available at the time) and a delicious, spicy doppio.

11/10/2025: I've been coming here for years, and it's still one of the best places to eat in Mugello. Excellent food, a great wine list, and impeccable service. There's no signature dish; the menu changes seasonally. The potato tortelli (exceptional) and the excellent meat (steak, tagliata) are a must-try.

16/09/2025: Excellent bakery with artisanal products, friendly staff here. You can buy bread, biscuits, normal and wholemeal ones, and excellent focaccias of various types. There is also an excellent take-away kitchen with various preparations. Excellent bakery, I recommend visiting it and tasting excellent products.

14/09/2025: When I went to Bari before returning to my country I always went to this restaurant which was good but the chicken was a bit raw but it doesn't matter they welcomed me kindly but the cleanliness was always dirty

10/10/2025: Tucked away in a small alley is this delightful restaurant with a friendly staff and excellent food. Our group of 10 tried both starters and mains, and everyone raved about the flavors and freshness. Add in some wonderful Puglian wine, and this restaurant was a real winner for our group. The staff spoke just enough English to help us navigate the menu, but everyone else there as Italian which to us was a good sign. If we go back to Locorotondo, this place will be at the top of our list.

08/10/2025: A delicious meal of lamb chops, very tender and cooked to perfection, ravioli with eggplant and fresh tomatoes, and excellent glasses of white and red wine... Quality service, a subdued atmosphere, and moderate background music: everything we're looking for!!! We're waiting for dessert to conclude... a flawless course: the pistachio and mandarin dessert was sublime, the Buffalo dessert too... we really enjoyed ourselves... thank you very much. We highly recommend it. 🫶🫶

31/08/2025: When at the end of August you're still looking for a thrill, a surprise without the obvious, a quiet corner of quality before returning to work... well, here's the answer. Google "spaghetteria in Bari" but it redirects you to Bitetto and you find yourself in front of a cathedral in the desert. You're greeted by a dazzling smile (rare elsewhere these days) from the staff member, followed by the welcoming spirit of the rest of the staff, including a precise and attentive waiter who, like the waitress, pampers you and assists you in portioning, choosing, and making you feel at home. The location is also surprising inside, and the dishes straddle the line between tradition and innovation without overdoing it, since a chocolate bar of Altamura cream for dessert is nothing if not innovative yet perfectly in keeping with tradition, just like the initial experience with a tasting of crispy bread and locally sourced olive oil. What can I say? 5/4/5/5 is my rating, because the missing star will be added next time I try the carbonara and a dessert with almonds (from Toritto, I'd say) and pure dark chocolate, which I know the staff will embrace as my dream and make it a reality! I'm counting on it! The atmosphere was also great after dinner: a quiet area, smiling residents, and no digestive issues, confirming the quality of the ingredients. P.S.: The table overlooking the kitchen was also strategic, from which I glimpsed the unique cacio e pepe preparation and even a few tastings here and there from the staff. And when the staff eats what you eat, you no longer have any doubts about the quality. Thanks for making us feel good.

08/09/2025: I attended a birthday party at Villa Rotondo, and I think it was the most scandalous experience I've ever had in a reception hall. • We arrived at 9:00 PM, and at 2:00 AM, the first course hadn't even been served. • They served the second course (fried fish) before the first course, completely illogically. • They even ran out of sparkling water, which is unacceptable in a venue that hosts events. • Of the two scheduled first courses, they only brought one, and that was late at night, when everyone was already leaving. • The cake was served to the guests' tables without even clearing them, in a completely messy and unhygienic environment. • The waiters were inexperienced and incapable of even basic service. • To top it all off, they had the nerve to charge the birthday girl first, using the excuse that the register was closed, leaving her to spend a nightmare day and lose money on dishes that were never served. Shameful organization, nonexistent service, and offensive treatment of guests and the birthday girl. In my opinion, this venue must have recently changed management, with completely incompetent people, because in all its years of operation, I've never heard of such a humiliating evening. I strongly advise against this place: a party that will remain etched in your memory only for how disastrous and humiliating it was.

07/09/2025: We celebrated a 50th birthday by paying the amount in advance (over €1,500) requested by the owner, but they didn't even serve us half the scheduled menu. Despite this, the staff railed against us, including the owner, who refused to help resolve the terrible experience. Disgusting. One star because I can't give zero, and partly out of pity for them.

13/09/2025: We've been returning to Bina Ristorante in Locorotondo for years. Warmly welcomed by Nino and his waiters, we choose dishes that hark back to Apulian tradition, but with a magical touch from chef Bina, who creates a unique culinary experience where aromas and flavors are enhanced, blended, and everything becomes sublime. The hospitality, attention to detail, and good food make us feel at home, and we'll be happy to return. See you next time!!!

18/10/2025: I'm sorry to give this restaurant such a low rating, as it's cozy and the food is good, but the service is slow, very slow. To give you an idea, it took us two hours to eat and 15 minutes just to get our coffee. There were only two of us.

18/10/2025: Excellent place to enjoy local seafood dishes. Tasting menu of 8 courses was very nice and fairly priced, but courses 2 & 3 and 7 & 8 were served together, which caused quite some confusion and disappointment given we were expecting 2 more courses to come. If we would have been told beforehand it wouldn’t have been an issue and we would have portioned our wine differently.
