We were a group of eight. The dishes weren't very seasoned and the portions were small. The quantities weren't exceptional either. The food was still good, though. Fortunately, the service was quick and pleasant. The prices seemed high for the food. On the plus side, the air conditioning was a welcome feature.

The owner is Italian and exudes a great passion for what he does. He enthusiastically explains the dishes, prepares them with care, and is personally involved in every detail. He's an elderly gentleman, very kind, attentive, and thoughtful. You can really tell he puts his heart into his work.

We are a group of nine girls and we came for dinner in high season. We were treated wonderfully by the extremely welcoming staff. The food was top-notch. We absolutely recommend the appetizer at L'Aratro.

10/08/2026: We had lunch at Osteria Pein Assut during a trip to Altamura and it was a fantastic discovery. The location is immediately striking: the space is furnished with extraordinary taste and originality, successfully combining a welcoming atmosphere with stylish details. The service was impeccable: attentive, thoughtful, and always smiling, the staff made guests feel welcome from the first to the last minute. The cuisine deserves a special mention. The traditional first courses, revisited with a modern, gourmet twist, are simply delicious. The choice to highlight local ingredients while maintaining a perfect balance between innovation and substance is greatly appreciated: the portions are decidedly generous, which is far from a given when it comes to sophisticated plating. An excellent experience in every way. Highly recommended if you're in Altamura and looking for quality cuisine in a unique setting!

10/08/2026: A trusted name in Bari for years now. Nothing to complain about, excellent food and service at a fair price. Everything else is boring, as someone said. If we have to nitpick, it makes no sense. Criticism should be made when mediocre food is paired with a high price... and that's not the case here.
