Everything was simple but very well done, for a fairly good value for money (26€ for water + 2 dishes with side dishes). The welcome is warm and the service fast! Thank you so much

28/05/2025: Great experience at El Focacciaro! I had the pleasure of trying El Focacciaro in Bari and I was really impressed on several fronts. Let's start with the speed of service: it's exceptional! Despite the turnout, the order management is very fast and efficient, a point in their favor when you have little time but don't want to give up quality. One aspect that I really appreciate is the search for raw materials. You can clearly perceive the attention in the selection of ingredients, which translates into authentic and genuine flavors. This really makes the difference and elevates the focaccia to a higher level. Last but not least, the selection of focaccia in all its time slots is impeccable. Whether for breakfast, a quick lunch or an afternoon snack, the quality and variety are always top notch. The focaccia is always fragrant and with the right crunchiness, regardless of the time you enjoy it. I highly recommend El Focacciaro to anyone looking for authentic focaccia, fast service, and top-notch ingredients. I will definitely be back!

27/05/2025: Beautiful restaurant with very good pasta. So many pluses. Waiting time for the first course... 45 minutes. The table next to us sat down a few moments after us and in the meantime managed to eat, appetizers, pasta and main course!!! The staff at no time noticed that something was wrong here. The pasta was really good but the later main courses and another waiting time... a flop. The cod was simply a few cubes of cod with zucchini immersed in tons of tempura... fatty and salty.

A simple, stone-framed establishment with good decor and great music. The staff was well-trained. We were served by Luisana, who speaks several languages ​​perfectly. She advised us on the wines and dishes. We chose a very intense Rosso di Puglia with 17% alcohol. Each dish surpasses the last. The warm bread was incredible. We were able to greet and thank the chef, whom you can see at work when you enter the inn. A memorable experience from beginning to end. I hope life allows us to return!

22/05/2025: I must admit that I have never been to the Calvi restaurant and it was a truly pleasant discovery, a gastronomic experience that manages to combine elegance and simplicity with great balance. The cuisine is of the highest level, with attention to the smallest details both in the plating and in the flavors. Each dish tells a story of research and passion, thanks to excellent quality ingredients, fresh and carefully selected. The combinations are refined but never excessive, capable of enhancing the natural flavors without overloading them. The service is another strong point: friendly, present but never intrusive, with a staff always ready to recommend and explain with competence the dishes and the wines to pair. You feel pampered from start to finish. The atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming, perfect for both a romantic dinner and a lunch with friends. The environment manages to convey serenity, with an attention to detail that is also reflected in the furnishings and background music. Finally, the quality-price ratio is more than fair. Considering the quality of the ingredients, the mastery of the kitchen and the level of service, the bill is absolutely adequate and well balanced. In short, Calvi is a restaurant where you gladly return: to eat well, relax and feel welcomed. A round of applause to Donato for his passion. Highly recommended.

It’s exactly what happens when you enter their home: they open the doors to their home, welcome you with a smile and treat you like family. This is Calvi: warmth, passion, care. It’s one of those places where you don’t just go to eat well — even if, trust me, you eat like a god — but to live a moment. The place is elegant and welcoming, with large and comfortable spaces. But my favorite corner is near the pass, because from there I can see everything. The kitchen is completely open, a real theater where the show never stops. I could stay there for hours watching how they move, how they take care of every detail… and in fact, every now and then, my wife calls me to order! Chef Donato is young, but with an edge. He has a head, a heart and a lot of hunger (not just for cooking, but for growing): he studies, travels, puts himself to the test. He never stops. Angelica, on the other hand, is the sommelier you would always like to have at your table: brilliant, very friendly, knowledgeable. She reads inside you and can always recommend the right glass, even if you want to dare with a cocktail or a spirit. In the dining room there is also Domenica, sweet, smiling, who makes you feel immediately at ease. Their cuisine is lively, contemporary, but rooted in tradition. You can find meat, fish, vegetarian dishes, daily specials, new dishes every season... but always with a clear philosophy: seasonality, respect for the raw materials and zero waste. I have eaten some of the best dishes of my life at their place. And every time it is different, because the menu changes, the inspiration changes... but the quality never changes. And then there are the leavened products. Bread, focaccia, sandwiches, panettone, brioche: all made by them, with sourdough and selected flours. I often stop by just to get the freshly baked bread, because it is truly special. I close with desserts and ice creams… which are not just “good”. They are poetry. The ice creams are churned on the spot, the desserts are never banal. Calvi is not just any restaurant. It is a real experience, made of heart, technique, family and so much beauty. If you have the chance, go there. Let yourself be embraced.

02/06/2025: Ci siamo fermati, come spesso accade, per una serata in pizzeria. Questo posto è perfetto per gustare un'ottima pizza e antipasti e dessert di qualità. Il servizio è celere, il personale è attento e disponibile, il signor Pino dirige con maestria e gentilezza. Lo consigliamo vivamente.

15/06/2025: I will not return to this hotel because the last time at check out, they charged me for an extra night for leaving the room in a condition in which it was not possible to clean it in one day and even had to be sanitized everywhere, not even if I had the plague or left human waste stuck to the wall or floors! I would like to point out that the single room is little more than twenty square meters and having been used, I had left the plastic bags with the CLOSED garbage in the dustbins, the dirty towels together with the sheet on the floor! The time to go down from the room to the reception, that the cleaners, while they were busy with other chores, had already searched the room and communicated to them the state of the room ... ( STRANGE ). It seems to me a really banal excuse to make fun of people and take money from those who want or do NOT want anymore! Absurd!

14/06/2025: A simple stay, but one that was a pleasant surprise. Friendly service, convenient location and a perfect pool to relax in. The gym is small but functional. The breakfast was pleasant and the well-kept garden adds a special touch to the space. It was worth every moment.

The hall manager Lorenzo is a true professional as well as being super helpful. The owners Angela and Vito were very kind and welcomed all our requests. Floriana followed us for two years in organizing the event. We recommend everyone to rely on Katya for the arrangements and creative ideas. Impeccable food and service. La Vallonea was initially a very pleasant surprise, now it is a certainty! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
