06/08/2025: Literally one of the best restaurants in Puglia and I’ve been coming here for many years. It’s the classic example of a true hidden gem. The owner/chef is a charming entrepreneur whose restaurant is clearly a passion project which he has worked from the ground up. Inventive dishes with powerful local ingredients - spaghetti all’assassina is amazing as well as the antipasti chosen by the chef. Great wine list - loved the sussumaniello red. Generous with extras and digestivi. Even the grandma was there to welcome us and offer her limoncello. Great fun; plus supporting local self-made restauranteur.

What's less obvious is that, weeks later, all the guests continue to call you to mention how wonderful they ate, how pampered they felt, and how much they appreciated the location and the service. It was the best choice we could have made! Marco, Giuseppe, and the entire staff supported us every step of the way in organizing our wedding. We will never stop being grateful to them! 26/06/2025: Great experience! The sausage sandwich was really tasty: quality ingredients and well-balanced flavors. The bread, although not crunchy, was still fresh and accompanied the filling well. The real stars, however, were the black pork bombette with lemon: tender, juicy, with a citrus note that makes them unique and irresistible. A delight that alone is worth the stop! Quick and courteous service, simple but genuine atmosphere. Highly recommended for those looking for authentic flavors of the Apulian tradition. 🍋🐖🔥

21/06/2025: We initially thought this was a little market but instead it was an absolutely lovely gem of a restaurant serving incredible bruschetta on scrumptious thick local bread, sandwiches, and pasta. The service was so kind and the owner let us linger. The setting was lovely across a quieter plaza and a church to admire. Highly recommend!

29/07/2025: This is the hidden restaurant to discover in Monopoli. Due to construction on the pier, you have to search a bit to find it (entrance from the sea floor or at the end of a small courtyard if you're coming from the old town). It has a very large enclosed terrace with a grassy garden, a quinguette style, away from the hustle and bustle of the street terraces. It's truly peaceful and a real pleasure to dine there. The dishes are excellent and refined (Italian cuisine, pasta, pizzas, etc.) with good fresh produce. The prices are also well-priced. We returned twice after being disappointed by other tourist-oriented restaurants on the main streets. The welcome is very friendly.

15/07/2025: On our host's recommendation, we went to this lovely, well-stocked butcher's shop where you choose what you want directly from the counter and are shortly thereafter served directly to your table. The Bombette and zander are truly excellent, and the staff are attentive and friendly. A must-see if you're passing through Gioia del Colle.
