22/12/2024: Easter Saturday, trip to Miradolo castle, let's look for a quick lunch. We find this restaurant... to return. First and second courses well prepared and even a little refined, simple but clean place. Clean and attentive service. the bill? Surprise for two 22 euros. I'll be back for sure. Of course it is a trattoria and not a restaurant with stars but I assure you that I ate better than many famous restaurants. 2 years ago I wrote that I would return and so I did. 5 stars again. Good and well presented food. Very kind staff. A confirmation.

07/01/2025: Gastronomy-tavern in the heart of Turin. Also open for lunch. Very refined typical Piedmontese cuisine with a couple of fish alternatives. The only flaw is that the prices are more restaurant-like than tavern-style.

04/01/2025: A tavern that looks more like a pizzeria. We ate in the basement, cold, the radiator behind me was off. The staff said they would turn it on, it didn't happen. The starter was good, the second course was decent, the dessert was modest. My cheesecake had a Nutella topping that covered every taste. One star for the very pleasant waitresses.

29/08/2024: ⭐⭐⭐ Only three stars for the following reasons: The cereal pizza dough was really good, but unfortunately there was too much cheese, which overpowered the overall flavour. The vegetarian offer was very limited. The only options were a pasta or cheese gnocchi, and of the pizzas only two were vegetarian. No vegetarian starters available. I pointed out this deficiency to the waitress, who responded by saying that there is no demand. An answer that I found absurd, considering that even omnivores can enjoy vegetarian dishes, often delicious, without necessarily having to eat meat or fish. Furthermore, demand can be stimulated with a more varied offer. Vegetables are always missing from the general menu offer, as if eating well meant excluding them. Furthermore, the pasta is never wholemeal, an option that many customers would appreciate for a healthier and more balanced meal. And for those who are vegan, it ruins it!? The waitress was generally friendly, but, perhaps due to my criticism, she went to take the order of a table who arrived after us, which left me a little perplexed.

13/01/2025: In a city that has changed so much in the last forty years, some places have remained intact. Luckily, I might add. Some restaurateurs have managed to create a deep and lasting bond with the customer who has become a regular. Chez Remo is an example of all this. It must not have been a fortuitous result but linked to a lot of work and a product that never disappoints despite the passing of the years. The writer came to eat here as early as 1990, coming from Mirafiori, preferring this place to many anonymous establishments in the centre. Over the years, growing up and coming to live in the area, I occasionally went to this place to eat the iconic friendship pizza. Chez Remo is a warm and romantic restaurant with a Parisian atmosphere. Mirrors, soft lighting and tasteful music make it the perfect place to take someone you care about. Here the pizza is light and crunchy. It is clear from the first slice, of this pizza so large that it can be shared with those at the table with you, that the ingredients used are fresh and of high quality. The farinata is equally good. I would also like to point out the homemade desserts which are truly a plus and give a specific identity to the cuisine. One of the best places in Turin.

26/12/2024: I went to this place to celebrate the retirement of a colleague of mine, which to say as soon as I entered it didn't seem like much... But then they surprised me with their extreme friendliness and friendliness... We ate the mussels as an appetizer which they were wonderful, and then linguine with seafood, very generous portions, then we had dessert and coffee. The waitress is really very smart and in the end the colleague paid €150 for four people so I consider it an excellent price for how much we ate.

12/01/2025: Very bitter experience. Recommended by many skiers and a ski instructor, we show up at the refuge just before 3pm: the lady tells me that the kitchen is closed and that I can only prepare a drink and offer us what is displayed in the display case. I'm disappointed, I had a large group of three families with me, with two more on the way, but I understand it, and the other refuges also close the kitchen around 3pm. I understand the rest much less. They gave us a dirty table where only the 6 children could fit, adults standing or on a ridiculous two-seater sofa. Two customers sitting at a table, embarrassed by the behavior of the waiters, repeatedly offer to get up to give us their seats. Are we kidding? The place had numerous tables in different rooms, 2 tables only in the immediate vicinity, but they didn't seat us. I personally left in disgust. My companions told me that they stayed, that they drank the bombardini on the table which in the end, after an explicit request, was at least cleaned, they made the children eat the packaged snacks since there was nothing... all while the waiters and managers of the restaurant had served themselves a top-notch meal, with the aromas that the excellent dishes from the kitchen - now open - certainly released, at the next table. So: my friends on the sad table with hungry children and snacks, a table with two embarrassed customers who would like to give up their seats, a table with a banquet laid out for the owners, and a fourth table left empty out of spite, "booked" , "busy". The restaurant belongs to those who manage it, free to do what they want. But I have never experienced such an absurd situation, neither in Sestriere nor elsewhere. For my part I am very embarrassed to have brought my friends to such a place. I forgot: the delay in arriving was due to the Nube d'Argento chairlift which broke down. It is certainly not the refuge's job to compensate for the shortcomings of other operators in the sector, to deal with unexpected events or to show understanding, so my complaint is perhaps out of place. For this reason I took the trouble to argue, to allow the reader to give the right weight to the events, in relation to their own sensitivity. Edit: I changed the review to 3 stars so as not to unfairly penalize the quantitative score on Google, not having tasted the dishes which will surely be excellent. I have the utmost respect for those who work to achieve excellence and I understand a certain intolerance for the tourist who wants everything. I also appreciate the balance of the response given on the platform.
