24/05/2026: Authentic, well-cooked, and delicious recipes at a great price. A pleasant family atmosphere. Dishes often served straight from the pan, just like at home! Our two-year-old son ate and loved every dish! Barbara is also incredibly kind to people: our son was tired and crying at the end of dinner, and Barbara stepped in and gave him a dinosaur car...which our son loved and still plays with a lot! Thank you so much, Barbara! Even though we live in Switzerland, you'll definitely see us again!

16/05/2026: Too expensive. You can't charge €1 for a dollop of cream or a drizzle of oil on a €13 dish! Small portions. Good quality. Terrible coffee. Mediocre beer. Small and crowded.

29/03/2026: We returned last night after a few months. Obviously, the dishes are beyond discussion. The pulled pork is now my favorite. As for the rest, you have to go and try them. You won't be disappointed.

23/05/2026: Embarrassing and beyond reproach...I have to have lunch on Friday, and a woman on the street recommended this restaurant to me. It's 1:15 PM. I walk in and notice the restaurant is upscale; there's not much people inside, and two of the six tables outside are occupied. A waitress approaches me. I tell her I'm alone and would like to eat. The woman replies, "Sorry, we can't serve you," and walks away without any explanation. I didn't feel like arguing, so I asked two women at the table where I could find a restaurant run by less rude people. Obviously, I'll never go there again, and I'll try to speak badly of it as much as possible.

The prices were moderately high, but appropriate for the setting. On the downside: the quality of the dishes. A truly mismatched array of flavors. Cream where it shouldn't even fit. A mixture of acidity and sticky sauces. In short, a total disappointment. We only ordered the first courses; we didn't dare try the second courses. Not recommended!

The first courses raise the bar even further: the linguine with shrimp, fava beans, and pecorino cheese is a masterful example of the balance between sea and land, while the penne with cuttlefish, Riviera olives, and pistachio pesto surprises with their originality and flavorful coherence. Here, you can clearly sense the kitchen's ability to break the mold without ever losing control. And then the desserts: the Dolce Chivasso and the bunet with acacia flowers finish with elegance and identity, leaving a rare sense of completeness. But what truly makes La Fortezza exceptional isn't just the quality of the dishes.
