Chosen after careful selection for an Easter lunch for couples. Summary: if I had to eat in only one restaurant for the rest of my life I would choose this one. From the aperitif to the dessert, no dish was predictable: new and unexpected textures, flavors and combinations. This made lunch a true experience of discovery. Very elegant dishes, space bread, for Easter they had a very well managed six-course menu (they were also very helpful in offering me alternatives to everything that contained fish - which I don't eat) Impeccable service: informal and attentive, it gave us the opportunity to feel at ease. Congratulations to the staff because this means working well. Objectively competitive price (€70 menu without wine) which we paid with satisfaction. We can't wait to return!!! (Tonight I will dream of all these delicious dishes 😭)

22/04/2025: Chocolate is a journey through time, every bite takes you back to when you were a boy, but finding such sublime quality assembled with the skill of a master pastry chef is a rarity. My travels through time with the Fagiolo Piero pastry shop and chocolate shop are quite frequent and are an alternation between chocolate and wonderful cakes. The owners know how to satisfy all tastes with extreme professionalism, even those of the most demanding palates. Highly recommended pastry shop.

17/04/2025: Il ristorante occupa la sede che era del Grecale, un locale in un edificio moderno (costruzione discutibile per le sue dimensioni) con non molti coperti, funzionale e discreto: bella la vista dai balconi. Il servizio è efficiente e cortese, la maitre è chiara e cordiale, ed è anche sommelier. La cucina ha grande attenzione e rispetto per le materie prime (ad esempio foie gras e tonno sottolio li produce il ristorante), la mano del cuoco è leggera e le radici francesi sono evidenti. Eccellenti i primi, gnocchi che rifanno l'insalata russa, e una zuppa di asparagi e lumache, precisi il foie gras e l'anatra, di ottima cottura, inventivi asparagi e baccalà, forse un po' slegati. Tra Francia e Liguria la tarte al limone e chinotto. Il tutto accompagnato da un Timorasso "langarolo" (Borgogno), scelto da una carta dei vini non grandissima ma meditata, attenta al territorio e con un interessante proiezione francese, soprattutto alsaziana.

13/04/2025: Ritorniamo come al solito dopo un po’ di tempo con la famiglia. Che dire ; come sempre al top, ricercato nelle materie prime, preciso nei gusti e con un servizio di sala cortese e veloce. Insomma un esperienza che non può mancare se passate da queste parti e anche se siete un po’ lontani fate una deviazione, ne vale davvero la pena.

Il percorso è bellissimo, dall’ amuse bouche fino all’ultima cioccolatina col caffè. C’è tango, e tutto buono. Bravi!

23/03/2025: In occasione della mostra sulle fotografie di Robert Doisneau presso il filatoio di Caraglio, ne abbiamo approfittato per pranzare presso questo ristorante. Siamo stati molto bene. Ottimo menu e servizio gentile e senza eccessive attese.

13/04/2025: Ristorante elegante un po’ retrò con servizio impeccabile. Si apre con una serie di assaggini di antipasti offerti molto particolari (ottima la ciliegia con una mousse deliziosa all’interno). Tra i primi segnalo Plin ripieni di burro e acciughe (TOP) e tra i secondi faccio fatica a segnalarne uno in particolare, sia la guancia, sia lo scamone che il filetto erano sublimi. Il dolce che mi ha impressionato di più e la loro cheesecake. Si chiude con piccola pasticceria offerta dalla casa. Ottimo barbera di una cantina vicina “Gabriele Cordero”. Prezzo 85€ a testa

17/03/2025: Non sono solita scrivere lunghe recensioni. Questo locale, peraltro, non avrebbe bisogno di recensioni. La (meritatissima!) stella Michelin parla da sé. Ma questa volta voglio dilungarmi perché tutto è stato molto al di sopra delle mie aspettative (che erano molto alte!). Premetto che non sono una fan del fritto misto, ma volevo provarlo nel suo "tempio". Qualunque recensione di questo fritto è riduttiva: è semplicemente PERFETTO, in tutti i suoi aspetti (qualità delle materie prime, quantità, frittura, giusto bilanciamento tra le varie portate, impanatura, leggerezza, salse di accompagnamento: TUTTO perfetto). Inoltre, cantina interessantissima e ottime guide per la scelta dei vini. Oltre alla cucina, però, l'atmosfera di questo locale è veramente unica. Servizio impeccabile professionalmente e umanamente caloroso. Un'attenzione ed un'accoglienza per l'ospite che raramente ho trovato altrove. Ringrazio, quindi, Il Sig. Enrico e tutto lo staff di sala per la loro passione e per averci regalato un'esperienza indimenticabile! Esperienza che non vediamo l'ora di ripetere, curiosi di provare anche il menu alla carta.

27/02/2025: Familiar village restaurant with star potential The trattoria in the small town of Serravalle/Langhe is run by the brothers Alessandro, Massimo and Tiziano, who have gained profound experience in fine dining around the world. In their Piedmontese homeland, they run the inconspicuous trattoria with the motto: taste, passion and simplicity. This is the secret of the stunning Piedmontese cuisine served in this family business. The relaxed, enjoyable evening in the trattoria far exceeded our expectations. Thanks to its recommendation in the Michelin Guide 2023, the restaurant has become an insider tip for gourmets - this is also confirmed by the license plates of the cars in the parking lot behind the restaurant: visitors from all over Europe mingle with the Italian ones. About the menu, which you can combine Mare and Terra as you like: Gnocchi made from Piedmontese Castelmagno cheese, potatoes and nuts and the ravioli filled with meat from the local black pig with onions tasted excellent. My wife then tried a plate of raw fish, red prawns and scampi with aromatic citrus sorbet - this only tastes good when using super fresh ingredients. I chose a duck leg with cherries and delicious mashed potatoes and I didn't regret it either. The hospitable service from the brothers ensured an enjoyable evening that ended with a sensational dessert. The trilogy of panna cotta, bunet and nut ice cream tarts was Piedmontese to the power of three. My crispy gianduja nougat roll with local nut brittle and Barolo granita was a revelation that had a lasting impact on me. The brothers serve the best from the region to local families and tourists interested in culinary delights. And they remain consistently true to their motto.
