A splendid property nestled in the Manziana forest, ideal for those seeking relaxation. The ambience is meticulously maintained. We booked at the last minute, choosing based on proximity to our location and also reading the reviews, and luckily there were still seats available. The food was excellent and different; I'd never had the truly delicious apple fritters. The fried appetizers were crispy and not soaked in oil, and everything else was delicious. The puff pastry casket with cavolo nero and speck was delicate yet delicious. Everything from the appetizer to the dessert was truly delicious. The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff were friendly. We'll definitely be back.

A farmhouse where the welcome is sincere, the atmosphere is family-friendly, and every detail is attended to with care and passion. The cuisine speaks of love for the ingredients and respect for those who sit at the table. Whether it's a quiet lunch or a larger event, the care is always the same. The staff is smiling, helpful, and present without being intrusive. Eliana, the chef, manages to convey enthusiasm and genuine attention, making every guest feel heard. Over the years, this place has grown significantly, continually improving without losing its identity. It's one of those places that stay with you, that lingers, and that you always want to return to. Keep up the good work! See you soon...

I wasn't familiar with the place. Friends recommended it. I tried the pizza tour. Everything was very good, both the pizzas and the fried foods. Clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely be back.

It was a delightful discovery close to home. Everything was truly delicious, from appetizers to dessert, with a wine worthy of the name. The staff was courteous and friendly, and the quality/price ratio was excellent. Highly recommended!!!

07/08/2026: AYE DIOS MIO! Not only is this place good but it’s 100% gluten free! When traveling to Italy, the last thing on my mind was finding a Venezuelan restaurant, let alone one that was gluten free. No words can explain the amazingness coming out of El Maiz. The owner, Frank, was extremely knowledgeable, kind, patient, and respectful. He also had such a great humor and warmth that made our experience very memorable. The empanadas de pollo was out of this world! The tostones with cabbage and carrot slaw were extremely well seasoned and delicious. However, no mater what you get, you MUST get the tartara sauce. It was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Frank needs to bottle it up and sell it by the jar! To round off the meal, we had the flan and tres leches. I have not had tres leches since becoming gluten free. I had forgotten how amazing tres leches is. We loved it so much, we ordered more to take home. While it is not what you expect to eat while in Italy, it was the BEST meal I had in Rome. I am forever grateful to Frank and everyone at El Maiz for such an amazing meal and experience with fellow hispanos. I cannot recommend this place enough. Make sure you stop here on your next trip to Rome, especially if you are near the Vatican (only a 10 min walk from St. Peter’s Square)!

30/07/2026: Nestled in the Roman countryside, among olive trees, lies this village that turns red at sunset, marking the beginning of the magic. If you want to delight your senses, this is the place. The house appetizers are so rich you might already feel full, but you can't stop because as soon as you approach the meat counter, your eyes will tell you more... With so many cuts of meat, you can't miss trying the tagliata, steaks, fillets, and tartare. You'll be spoiled for choice, and if you trust Christian, who only needs a few questions to understand what your palate needs, you've hit the jackpot. Meat that lingers in your mouth with a wide variety of flavors, from the more delicate you're used to to the stronger and more decisive, but in which you can recognize all the flavors of the earth. A youthful and relaxed atmosphere, always with great music to accompany your dinner. Silvia manages everything in the dining room, ready to understand and satisfy her customers' requests. A wide selection of wines to pair with your meals. The restaurant is suitable for everyone, both adults and children, as there's even a small park where they can play between courses, all within sight of their parents, who can continue enjoying the evening. You can come as a couple, with friends or family. If you're looking for a more intimate setting, ask for a more secluded table when possible, or, as I like, find yourself chatting, laughing, and joking with neighboring tables. Il Borghetto has become my favorite place, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant evening that engages all five senses. Thanks to Silvia and Christian, who dedicate themselves heart and soul to their guests.
30/07/2026: There's nothing to write home about; you just have to go and try it. Expertise and courtesy, i.e., customer service, and quality meat. I haven't tried the pasta dishes, but we'll be back soon. Congratulations.
