31/07/2025: Location, service, food, and dishes were superb! Highly recommended, especially for the value!

30/07/2025: We had the set lunch menu (€10, €15 on Sundays). Everything was really good. The staff was very accommodating, even for special diets. The place is rustic and very beautiful.

09/08/2025: Novu by Borgo Antico: The location is great and the menu items seem perfect. We went on Friday evening for a romantic dinner and although the prices were a bit high, it was a special occasion. Upon entering, we noticed that while they were going for, in part, a romantic atmosphere, they had tv up in the bar with sports game playing and the music was loud. They did sit us in a slightly more secluded area to adjust for that. The service was as friendly as they can be given they seemed a little short staffed. It was for this reason things seemed a little slow, but they worked very hard and deserve some credit. We ordered the grilled octopus priced at $65 and lobster raviolo priced at $34. We expected that for $65 we would get signficantly larger portion. The octopus dish came with only 3 medium sized tentacles, and plenty of filler like zucchini and watercress. The crispy rice was a great addition but the sauce being used as a base was very overpowering and vinegary in flavor and while it was good in the first few bites, as one ate more it became excessive. Overall, while the plate size as a meal was good, they definitely should not be charging $65 (this is a rip-off I'm sorry to say) The lobster raviolo has a bisque sauce which was nice, but the pasta itself did not seem fresh made, and was possibly frozen. Additionally, there were pieces of lobster on top which were dried out and seemed overcooked. This could possibly be due to spending time under a heat lamp and/or not being served right away. Also, we did order a fritto misto as an appetizer, priced $30. There were 2 shrimp, and very few calamari (which seemed overcooked). And the rest of the dish was just larger pieces of fried unknown fish. A fritto misto at this level is a very specific dish, requiring specific types of seafood and perhaps small fishes (such as fried anchovies). This did not meet those standards, and as such is overpriced for what was provided. Finally, when the kitchen door was opened you caught glimpses of a freezer and home depot buckets. This is not something you want to make visible to diners. Overall, this was disappointing for the price paid and the expectations, being somewhat familiar with the borgo antico name. Unfortunately, I would pass on Novu unless they make some changes.

11/06/2025: I definitely recommend Borgo Antico Cucina for any occasion! The traditional Italian food was so delicious, and the service was great! We were to celebrate my friend's birthday on Saturday evening with a party of 8. We ordered shareable appetizers, and the individual mains were generous portions! We paired our mains with red and white wines (Chianti Riserva and Gavi). I especially enjoyed my Linguine Pescatore! If you love seafood, then this is the perfect dish for you!!

07/08/2025: People go there out of desperation because the bars in Rome are among the most squalid in Europe, and at least here they have gardens. Old umbrellas and a few wooden shelves with half-dead plants. A few dim lights in the evening, but everything is very shabby. No attention to detail, a few tables outside; the only relief is these gardens. The coffee could be better, the rest is average, the prices a bit too high. The service is incredibly slow, especially when there are a few more people. Perhaps everything was better the first year it opened, but now it's aged badly.

07/07/2025: Rude staff. Never saw such an impolite behaviour in Italy. We arrived there near 9 pm to drink coffee outside in Garden but they told us if we want coffee we can't enter the area😐 I do not recommend this place Staff are so reckless

20/07/2025: A very welcoming staff who speaks excellent French. The food and pizzas are delicious 😋 and very reasonably priced. I recommend this place. Thanks again to the bespectacled boss for his very warm welcome.

And their legacy has a name that moves those who were fortunate enough to know her: Grandma Elvira. We miss her so much, Grandma Elvira. But just tasting the many dishes, especially the Ascolana olives, prepared with the same care, the same magic, is enough to feel her close again. They are much more than a dish: they are an embrace, a living memory, a flavor that speaks of deep roots and expert hands that never cease to give. At Il Buchetto, every dish has a story. 05/03/2025: Abbiamo ordinato a domicilio per la prima volta in questo posto. Una bella sorpresa! Consegna puntualissima: panini e fritti caldissimi! abbiamo preso la boxe di fritti con le alette di pollo e due panini con l’hamburger, veramente ottimi! Pane morbido, carne cotta perfettamente e succosa, condimenti equilibrati! Una bella scoperta! Complimenti! Riordineremo sicuramente :)

18/03/2025: A family. The only way to fully describe this place and its owners. Carlo and Giulio are fantastic. Very prepared, never slaves to habit. Over the years the quality of the beers has risen to levels that few places in Rome possess. Always ready to improve, the continuously rotating taps always offer complete satisfaction, without neglecting the food, usually the classic Achilles heel of pubs, here instead refined and of a certain quality. For this, and for so much else that is difficult to explain in a few lines, I have found friends, brothers. A family.

19/08/2025: Honestly, I was really disappointed with Tazza d’Oro. The service was rude and unhelpful. The maritozzo was nothing more than average. I asked for ice in my latte and they flat out refused — I had to order a glass of water with ice and add it myself. What kind of lack of flexibility is that? On top of that, by the time we arrived (before noon), the pastry counter was completely empty. No options at all. Overall, a very underwhelming experience and not worth the hype.

13/07/2025: Neighborhood pizzeria run by young people. Prices for round pizzas are still reasonable. The pizza is large and thin, with a fairly good topping. You can choose between two flavors. The fried foods are also good. You can also order by the slice. Recommended!

29/05/2025: Historic pizzeria in Centocelle. The round pizzas are light, large, well cooked, both classic and gourmet. At lunch, a hot table, in the evening, aperitifs. Welcoming and friendly staff. Personally, Margherita Boscaiola and Capricciosa are the best, but pistachio and mortadella are also not bad. Roman fried foods, bruschetta and more, drinks at a nice average price.
