This was our 3rd separate visit to this quintessential Roman pizzeria. Super thin and crispy crust pies that have kept us coming back time after time. If and when we are in Rome again, we will definitely be back to da Baffetto. Plus it’s close to Piazza Novona and very cool area. Highly recommend it.

Service was friendly and enthusiastic, and our server made us feel welcome throughout the meal. The pizzeria has a lively, traditional atmosphere and is clearly a popular spot.
Unfortunately, the pizzas didn't live up to the hype for us. We tried the mushroom & onion and the mushroom, onion & sausage pizzas, but both tasted quite bland and didn't stand out in any way. We had expected more given the reputation. There is also no indoor air-conditioned seating, which can make dining uncomfortable on hot days.
Overall, it was a decent experience, but we left feeling that the place is perhaps better known for its history and nostalgia than for the pizza itself.

Typical Roman pizza, very thin, served on a metal plate with generous amounts of mozzarella and quality sauce, cooked in a wood-fired oven.
Add to this a simple place with many photos commemorating the owner with the various VIPs who have passed through this place, known to many Romans and beyond.
You absolutely must try the famous calzone, with ham, mozzarella, and eggs.
I recommend ordering this cult dish right away to experience the quality of the dough, the freshly baked flavor, and the chopped mushrooms.
Then comes the pizza, and more authentic Roman pizza.
The prices are very fair and reasonable.
The service is very quick.

The pizza was really good and had lots of toppings! The only downside is that it's very crowded and the food takes a while to arrive! Otherwise, it's excellent.

Beautiful little spot and delicious pizza. If getting a pizza with prosciutto, be aware it is very hard to cut. Crust is delicious and nice and thin. Water isn’t free. Overall, good spot and will definitely come back on another trip to Rome.
