27/06/2025: Lovely place to stop for a treat. We went for breakfast and had a very pleasant time. The croissant was good the cappuccino great and we enjoyed sitting outside on the square. Beside a richiesta choice for breakfast there is plenty more to eat and it all looked really good food

17/06/2025: I had a quick aperitif. The girl who welcomed us was very nice and kind. We had a spritz and a coke zero, with a platter of appetizers at a cost of €12, which seemed reasonable to me. The quality of the pizza was good. The girl was always available. The place is located on a square, it is easy to reach.

12/07/2025: After trying the Michelin-starred hotel restaurant, and trying various other places in the area, I finally found an excellent place with excellent value. Highly recommended. When I'm in the area again, I'll definitely be back.

12/06/2025: I can't express a rating on the rooms because I didn't stay overnight, the food is good, the waiters are helpful, the place is well kept, the parking lot needs improvement, the pavement unfortunately raises dust when guests arrive and this is not appreciated when you are "dressed up", for special occasions. We had a good time

22/06/2025: When I took a shared taxi from the airport in Rome to the hotel, the driver recommended this restaurant, saying, "Tourists rarely come here, it's delicious, and it's not too expensive." It was a little far from the hotel, but I made a reservation and took the bus there. A small old man who is probably the owner greeted me. Since I had made a reservation, I was shown to my seat right away. I was wondering what to order, but I ordered artichokes, carbonara, risotto, and house wine. In Italy, bread is served, but this restaurant served baked pizza dough instead of bread. It was super hot, a little salty, and crispy and delicious. I think this pizza dough is unique to this restaurant. The artichokes are soft and have a gentle taste. The carbonara noodles are thick, like a slightly thinner udon. The taste was very good. I ordered the risotto with blue cheese, but it felt a little salty. But I think this is probably the normal taste. The rice was cooked to perfection, and I was impressed that the risotto at this restaurant is different. It seemed like a restaurant loved by locals. There was one group of people there who I thought might be tourists. The restaurant seemed to be in a quiet area, a little different from the downtown area where we were staying, and seemed less noisy. I was glad that we took the bus all the way here.

12/06/2025: I visited Candy Cream Gelateria with good expectations, but unfortunately the experience with the ice creams was a bit below expectations. Although the variety of flavors is wide and inviting, the consistency of some was a bit too frozen, almost grainy, instead of creamy as you would expect from a good ice cream. Even the flavor, although present, in some flavors was not as intense and authentic as I would have hoped, resulting a bit flat. It may have been a bad day, but for now I have not been fully satisfied.

23/03/2025: Sooooo, nun bewerten wir mal die Pasticceria, die in der Nähe unseres Hotels lag und wo wir fast täglich kleine unterschiedliche Leckerei gekauft haben. War schwer daran vorbei zu gehen und ich kann nur sagen, "probiert einfach alle mal durch."

18/06/2025: Food is fine, nothing super special. I love the atmosphere though, its a cute plave to go with friends and the prices are not bad. Servers are also very nice each time.

04/07/2025: I was at the restaurant at 16.30 yesterday. Because I did not feel well I wanted to sit and buy a drink. My age is 65. We were with 3 persons. The whole terrace was empty except two waiters smoking. It was not possible to have a drink without food. I had to leave. I asked if I could please stay there, I really didn't feel well, it was 35 degrees and I had problems with my knee. I would be glad to pay for cold water. My son was getting the car it would not take long. When I would go to another place he could not find me. They were very rude to me and said I had to leave immediately. That's why I ended up sitting on the road before the restaurant. I have never be treated like that.

03/07/2025: Went in. It was very busy but there were empty tables. Then we were asked to wait outside in close to 40° heat. I noticed this place has the worst overall ratings if many restaurants are almost all restaurants in the area, so I guess that says something.

04/07/2025: Unfortunately, Il San Lorenzo was our worst dining experience in Rome. From the start, we felt unwelcome — the staff was overly strict about where we placed our baby stroller, despite the restaurant being mostly empty. We were seated near the kitchen in a hot, uncomfortable area, even though a cooler, air-conditioned room was available. It seems discriminating. The food was mediocre and forgettable, especially compared to the high standards we experienced in Venice and Milan. Nothing stood out in flavor or presentation. What made the experience worse was the cold, almost dismissive attitude from the staff, which left us feeling uncomfortable — at times even wondering if we were being treated differently for being Asian. Overall, between the lack of hospitality, the non-functioning AC, and the underwhelming food, we wouldn’t return. Rome has many better options.

01/07/2025: Very tasty dishes with original presentation and a beautiful classic interior. The only thing is that it is a bit cramped and very noisy. I would like more space and distance between tables for comfortable communication.

26/06/2025: Quality pizza, nice atmosphere and professional staff that works hard. It is the perfect place for a pizza outside in the summer or for a cozy and warm environment inside. My family has been coming here for years - always a guarantee!
