08/06/2025: English: I have been to eat at this EXCELLENT restaurant in EVERYTHING for 4 times, recommended by a friend and that I am recommending to other friends and acquaintances and anyone I have brought to eat, last dinner last night 7/6/'25 was very satisfied ... so what can I say except that the quality of the fish and not only is VERY HIGH, courtesy, service and waiters attentive to everything ... but a special mention must go to the owner Massimiliano ... a "delicious" person like the dishes he offers, very kind and friendly with everyone, whether you are a new customer or an old customer !!! Fresh fish with a superlative flavor, delicious fish appetizers, first courses and then moving on to the various fried foods and not ... finger-licking good !!! Highly recommended place also in terms of quality / price, MORE THAN HONEST and once you have tried it you will not go to eat fish anywhere else again we ate both lunch and dinner ... if there had been more than 5 stars for the review, I would have put them all !!!

05/07/2025: Piacevolmente accolti dalla simpatica romanità e grande professionalità del titolare Claudio, il locale è ben arredato e molto curato. Per chi ama la pizza bassa e croccante questo è il locale perfetto. Ben condita e con ottimi ingredienti ha un profumo ed un sapore delizioso. Ma da non perdere assolutamente la pizza panzanella che ricorda antichi sapori. Eccellenti anche i supplì con il ragù di carne, mentre ci sono piaciuti meno i fritti con troppa pastella. Ottimo e veloce il servizio ed onestissimo il conto.

Artistic and tasty vegetable combinations, homemade perfectly cooked pastas with various sauce choices. They have seating inside and outside, but the food is why you should come here, so unassuming, yet memorable dinner experience!

01/07/2025: Nice place to eat. I ordered the seafood risotto and the capricciosa pizza, both came out pretty good. Both are worth their price tags, especially when I'm in Rome. Would recommend.

01/06/2025: Booked from Florence with the fork and I couldn't have chosen better, the pinsa is excellent they let us taste their fried food extra which is absolutely worth trying... this is about the food. 29/06/2025: If you come to Il Pagliaccio looking for good food you will be disappointed, because here you will find an experience that will stay with you for life. My friend and I requested the parallels menu, a 14-course menu in a private room. We expected a dinner of a certain level and instead I still don't know exactly how to describe the evening because calling it a "dinner" is extremely reductive. The years of experience and study of the dishes are noticeable and the palate begins to travel from one continent to another. The waiting staff was incredible, all very professional but above all willing to satisfy our every curiosity. Even the chef and the pastry chef came to talk to us. You can see that for all of them it is not just a job but a passion, and it makes all the difference in the world. I recommend this experience to everyone. If you come to Il Pagliaccio looking for a good meal you will be disappointed, what you will get instead is so much more than that, truly an unforgettable experience. Me and my friend requested the Parallels menu, a 14 dish adventure in a private room. To call what we experienced just a "dinner" would be extremely belittling. The years of experience and study of the chef can be clearly seem through every dish, each one of them will take your taste buds on a trip to different continents. The staff was impeccable, very professional and very patient with us, answering all of our questions. Even the chef and the chef patissier came out of the kitchen to talk to us. It is clear that for these people it is not a simple job but a time tested passion, and they reflect this passion towards the customers. I recommend this experience to everyone.

05/07/2025: Key takeaway- Always check your bill in Rome!!! Food was better than average Space was clean and nice Servers were polite and kind Service is a tad slow - mostly due to understaffing - the servers had to work non stop and tables are still not cleaned a while after other guests have left However - the thing we were most upset about is the fruit charges that we did not order on the bill 2x4 =12?. We ordered 2 serving of water an additional bottle to go home but … if the line item is for the water instead of fruits… that means we paid 20EUR plus taxes just for water 😂

05/07/2025: We came here about a year ago from Japan during our honeymoon. The carbonara, tiramisu and fish dishes were really delicious. Also, the staff was extremely kind to us, and we are really grateful for that. If one day we have the opportunity to return to Italy, we will definitely come to visit you again. 25/06/2025: Our favorite restaurant in Rome by far. We are here 3 out of 4 nights. Luca was our server and he was amazing. We miss this place and the people so much. See you again soon.

22/05/2025: Arancino cacio e pepe di Supplizio disappointing. Despite a good external breading the inside was a rather bland agglomeration of white rice with a large piece of mozzarella that was not melted. Too bad... 3 euros definitely not well spent

30/06/2025: Amazing place! The food was delicious, we had caccio e pepe (incredible)! It felt like we were at the local hangout. Such a friendly atmosphere. Most entres serve two people so keep that in mind.

23/06/2025: I had dinner at this restaurant on Saturday, June 21st and the place was too full and very noisy!!! It was also very hot!! But the dinner was very good! Luckily!!

08/07/2025: An iconic place in Rome. High-quality cuisine with excellent ingredients. We ate there two nights. Remarkable atmosphere and attentive service. The waiters make an effort to speak French. We will return on our next trip to Rome.

30/06/2025: Location molto carina esteticamente, siamo stati qui usufruendo di sconto thefork. Buona la focaccina, non male la tartare di carne, particolare il sapore agrodolce del carpaccio di carne per com era condito.
