21/07/2024: They waited for us close to closing time in the afternoon, after having told them that we would arrive on foot from the RCF Arena. Very kind, friendly and jovial, top meat: tender and succulent.

14/07/2024: In the last year I have drastically reduced my meat consumption but every now and then I allow myself to break the rule. And this time I chose the Trattoria del Macellaio Fornaciari in Reggio Emilia. Booked the table with 10/11 days' notice, I arrive on site and sit down (even though it seemed to me that they hadn't marked my reservation..) The menu offers a vast selection of meats, including foreign ones, but processed on Italian soil. There is also a part with more valuable cuts, also in price. I decide for a medallion of Piedmontese fassona fillet with a side of potatoes; good yes and a lot but it doesn't scream miracle. Not even the baked potatoes which in my opinion were from the day before and reheated at the moment so a little... limp. The mascarpone with chocolate flakes for dessert, however, is good. Too bad for the very… “washed out” coffee, pass the term to me. I think the price is correct for the historical moment but a bit high overall. The restaurant, however, is modern and well furnished, with moderate air conditioning. Easy to find and with parking both in front and nearby. I went willingly, I ate well and the owner is really knowledgeable and nice but I have been to more engaging places. But I promote it and recommend it as they recommended it to me!

29/07/2024: Great experience!! Romantic place, really welcoming and helpful hosts with impeccable service. Quality food, two of us ordered a basket of gnocco with roast bow, beef carpaccio and rocket, feta foil, olives, dried tomatoes and capers, gnocchi with prawn tartare, a glass of Franciacorta, a passito wine and two bottles of water, spent 90 euros between two. A place where I will definitely return, I loved it!!!

15/07/2024: Dinner for 10 people. I had four American friends as guests and, wanting them to try some local dishes, I was pretty safe. I've known the place for a couple of years now: Very welcoming and characteristic, it offers various, excellent, reinterpretations of what is our typical Emilian cuisine, without straying too far from traditional flavours. The staff is very smart, young and capable, there is a light atmosphere that can only improve the taste of the dishes that are served. I absolutely recommend.

21/07/2024: Ci ero già stato l anno scorso in occasione di una gita al Parco Cerwood ed è stata una piacevole conferma. Locale molto pulito, personale gentile, cibo ottimo ed una splendida visuale sulla pietra di Bismantova. Prezzi adeguati alla qualità. Ottima scelta di vini.

04/07/2024: Gita sull'appennino emiliano e subìto dopo Castelnuovo Ne Monti abbiamo pranzato in questo bel locale , che all'entrata ci ha sorpreso per una cantina veramente fornita . Buono il servizio , varia la scelta del menù . Consiglio la pasta fatta in casa ( e si sente che è fatta a regola d'arte) . Ottimi i dolci .! E poi una vista sulla pietra di Bismantova da cartolina !

10/08/2024: The place itself is a HISTORICAL brewery in the area. Again of those beautiful pubs all made of wood with the central counter and the owner to welcome you. He also does a lot of takeout and this says a lot about the quality of the food. My children literally love the piadine, which are handmade and filled really well. We tried a little of everything, even GNOCCO AND TIGELLE and as EMILIAN experts we can give it a good 10. Not to be missed

06/08/2024: Honest brewery. I ate good dumplings and tigelle. Standard quality meats and cheeses and the right portions. Very fast service.

13/07/2024: Entri in un posto dove ti sembra di essere in famiglia. I piatti sono ottimi e il gestore simpatico e attento ad ogni dettaglio. Consiglio a tutti di fare un salto anche se solo di passaggio nelle vicinanze. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.
