22/03/2026: We spent a weekend with friends, but it was a fantastic discovery, starting with the very kind and helpful owner, the super clean rooms, and all the wonderful people who work there. The food was excellent, and I commend the owner's son, who cooked excellent ingredients, from cured meats to meats. We will definitely be back; the place is wonderful.

20/03/2026: Unfortunately, today is our departure day. If we hadn't already booked our next accommodation, we would have loved to extend our stay. We spent four very relaxing nights here. It was a highlight of our trip to Italy. Excursions to Lake Bolsena, Ovieto with its impressive cathedral, or the medieval town of Pritigliano are highly recommended. The wonderful and relaxing aspect is that when you return, this cozy restaurant is waiting for you. A huge compliment to the kitchen! Please continue with such love and dedication! We wish you many more lovely guests! And see you soon!

05/04/2026: We went for dinner last night and I have to say it was absolutely excellent: from the sandwich recommended by the owners to the desserts. We'll be back.
15/03/2026: Emilia's first Viking pub, a very characteristic venue. The two owners are friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They serve excellent beers, of various types, and cider, as well as excellent food, not just tasty sandwiches. A must-visit even for those who aren't a regular at this type of venue. The venue is very welcoming, set in a splendid location at the foot of Rossena Castle, with views of Canossa Castle and the splendid valleys and lands of Matilda.

26/05/2026: Excellent, everything was really good, home cooking, a lovely welcoming place, excellent quality and price. Excellent for organizing business lunches and dinners. We've already done it twice with work colleagues, and they were always satisfied with the excellent quality of the food and staff. Cost per person 40 euros.
04/05/2026: A classic restaurant/bar in a hamlet high in the hills of Reggio Emilia.
We had a wonderful time; the service was homely, precise, and friendly.
The homemade pasta was delicious, the meat excellent, and the homemade desserts are truly unforgettable.
If you're passing through and want a simple, authentic meal, you can't miss this place!

13/05/2026: Il Melograno di Matilde is a restaurant/osteria with an attached B&B located on the road to the Rossenella Tower and Rossena Castle. The view is breathtaking, and there are several nearby walks to enjoy.
The summer terrace is very well-maintained, and they also organize summer events.
The interior is spacious and well-furnished, although the temperature is a bit chilly. We came here on Wednesday for the pizza tour. The pizza was really good and light, with excellent quantity and quality.
Friendly staff, reasonable prices.
10/05/2026: We went for lunch during a car rally. It was a large group, so we booked in advance and pre-arranged the menu. Everything was perfect, delicious food, and fast, friendly service. Highly recommended!

25/02/2026: A truly sublime restaurant/bar for a work break, with friendly service and a friendly owner who's always available.
Very varied cuisine with a daily menu featuring a wide variety of dishes, inviting pizzas and focaccias, and mouth-watering gnocco fritto.
On your work break, there's a bit of a wait if you don't book, but if you're in the area... highly recommended.

16/04/2026: I went to the restaurant last year to order pizzas and they told me they'd be ready in 15 minutes (I was six months pregnant 🤰). They made me wait 35 minutes (people they knew, maybe friends, relatives, came to order after me and left before me with their pizzas). I was very disappointed 🫤 (my father-in-law was waiting for me in the parking lot with his husband and two children, one 4 years old and the other 14 months old). Since that day I've changed pizzerias and I'm very satisfied. This is my experience, so it doesn't mean they're not good and that the food isn't good 😌
14/04/2026: The service is good but the pizza is still to be learned because I ate a normal pizza 🍕 but I couldn't digest it, it stayed on my stomach too much, I avoid them and I didn't eat the other dishes but maybe tortellini or other dishes are better including the second courses and appetizers and desserts 🍰 good thank you very much

20/06/2025: Se il cibo è un viaggio, allora questo ristorante è la destinazione che ti fa sentire come se fossi tornato a casa. La proprietaria, un'anima dolce e accogliente, ti fa sentire subito come se fossi parte di una grande famiglia. Il suo sorriso è il primo benvenuto che ti accoglie, e la sua gentilezza ti avvolge in un abbraccio caloroso che dura tutta la serata.
Ogni piatto che arriva sulla tavola è un'esplosione di sapori che racconta storie di tradizione e passione.
Ma c'è un piatto che ci ha rubato il cuore: il coniglio. Non è solo un piatto, è un'esperienza. La carne così tenera, ricca di sapore, che si scioglie in bocca, accompagnata da patate arrosto che sembrano custodire il segreto di una ricetta tramandata da generazioni. È un piatto che non si dimentica, che ti commuove e ti fa sentire la cura e l'amore che ci sono dietro ogni singola preparazione.
Mangiare qui non è solo un atto, è un'esperienza che coinvolge tutti i sensi. Tortelli e ravioli buoni, cotolette di agnello anche, ma il coniglio arrosto sopra tutto. Anche il prezzo onesto...
