03/08/2026: Bad experience: over the phone, they told us they could provide a meal suitable for celiacs, so we booked for a birthday party. When we arrived, the waiter turned up his nose when I mentioned that I was celiac, and suggested a gluten-free pizza, though not in a dedicated oven (so suitable for those with intolerances but not celiacs). Or maybe a risotto, but the ingredients were missing, or maybe some meat, but all the fish was sold out. So we asked another waitress to ask the chef directly what could be prepared safely. She, admittedly kind, went into the kitchen, and the chef yelled at her, "I'm not taking responsibility for this." We would have left, but the kids were hungry and had already eaten within two hours of ordering. I, on the other hand, didn't touch any food, not even a meager salad or something packaged. Needless to say, none of us will be returning. As a restaurateur myself, I realize that it's not always possible to provide a contamination-free meal, but at least the moral and professional correctness of saying "no, I'm sorry, but we can't provide this service" would be desirable. You gained a table last night, but you got a terrible review and lost long-term customers, since everyone was upset about having to eat in my face while I skipped dinner. I don't know if it was worth it.
