04/07/2026: We've been to this restaurant often, and the previous times have always been good, but our last experience with seven people was deeply disappointing. We requested the "risottata" option (no longer on the menu): the waiter told us that four risottos would be enough to fill us up, but he omitted a crucial detail: that each risotto ordered would be charged as a double portion. We ordered seven, thinking they were normal portions, and ended up with an exorbitant bill. The same lack of clarity was shown with the appetizers: we were offered a mixed selection without specifying either their composition or the price. When we pointed this out at the cashier (accustomed to spending around €38 per person for an appetizer, main course, and dessert), the response was arrogant: we were told that "they had made it clear to us." This was unprofessional and completely unwilling to acknowledge their poor communication. It's a shame, because the food has always been good, but the lack of transparency and the attitude towards customers have made us not want to return.

03/07/2026: My wife and I were there on Wednesday evening. We had the "risottata," four types of risotto. Everything was very good. A bottle of water, a bottle of Spergola, and a coffee. It cost €88 (perhaps a little expensive...) and I think we'll be back. Recommended.

A beautiful view and vibe the restaurant has, the service was great and menu was seasonal. You wouldn't expect this restaurant to be so great from the outside but it has a great decor and vibe inside.

30/04/2026: A restaurant with an interesting selection of vegan dishes that doesn't compromise on flavor. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the staff is helpful even during the busiest times. The prices are typical for vegan restaurants. Order the spelt or rice to fill you up properly.

I specifically sought out a place in that area, a truly unique establishment where you can feel the history, with dishes with intense flavors, simple and traditional but revisited in the best possible way. The staff was truly kind and knowledgeable... higher than average price but a fantastic experience.

05/07/2026: Truly, very good! After a few years away, we returned to this beautiful restaurant located in a charming and historic 19th-century former dairy farm. Inside, you'll find a rustic atmosphere, with strong references to the rural past, highlighted by terracotta floors, domed ceilings in the central hall, and large windows. The interior spaces are divided into several rooms, each with wooden tables set with classic table settings. At the heart of the culinary offering is the rediscovery of traditional Emilian flavors, reinterpreted with a modern sensibility. The cuisine is based on seasonality, a short supply chain, and a zero-mile philosophy. (Bonus) We tasted our best beef tartare (diced croutons, a drop of lemon balm, traditional Reggiano DOP balsamic vinegar, sweet browned Cervia salt), a selection of Badessa cured meats (accompanied by yeast-free fried gnocchi, Violino "Cushot" Reggiana sheep ham, 35/40-month reserve prosciutto, thinly sliced, highly matured coppa, and ancient natural salami), half a pacchero pasta made with Reggiano wheat, bronze-drawn by us (sautéed with a white sauce, rabbit ragù, and a sweet and sour melting shallot), citrus-flavored guinea fowl leg (glazed with Marolese acacia honey and a juniper reduction), a sardine-based interpretation of veal with tuna sauce (with its classic sauce, seasonal vegetarian cream, BadessaLAB giardiniera, and legal herbs), roasted potatoes with their skins on, and barley coffee tiramisu (whipped mascarpone cheese). with our ladyfingers soaked in a cocoa and barley coffee glaze), Zuppa Inglese (our homemade ladyfingers, yellow and chocolate cream, liqueur syrup, and fruity fried black cherry jam), and panna cotta with a fior di latte effect. All the dishes we chose were truly delicious and made with high-quality ingredients. The service was courteous and fast, and the quality/price ratio was truly excellent. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back.

22/03/2026: We spent a weekend with friends, but it was a fantastic discovery, starting with the very kind and helpful owner, the super clean rooms, and all the wonderful people who work there. The food was excellent, and I commend the owner's son, who cooked excellent ingredients, from cured meats to meats. We will definitely be back; the place is wonderful. Thank you all!

20/03/2026: Unfortunately, today is our departure day. If we hadn't already booked our next accommodation, we would have loved to extend our stay. We spent four very relaxing nights here. It was a highlight of our trip to Italy. Excursions to Lake Bolsena, Ovieto with its impressive cathedral, or the medieval town of Pritigliano are highly recommended. The wonderful and relaxing aspect is that when you return, this cozy restaurant is waiting for you. A huge compliment to the kitchen! Please continue with such love and dedication! 10/06/2026: Ate here to finish up a tour in Reggio Emilia. The meal included high quality, traditional northern Italian dishes. Our server made sure we were always being taken care of and even introduced us to Lambrusco wine, which was amazing. Would recommend this spot to anyone in the area.

28/03/2026: Honest review: FLORENTINE STEAK SHOULD NOT BE SERVED PRE-CUT. Even though they brought us a grill to keep the dish warm, it was COLD. This happens because it's cut before being served at the table. Consequently, it loses juices and heat, and the "experience" doesn't reflect the quality (if there is any...). The chef should know these things... We ordered the Piedmontese Ox menu, and I quite liked the rest, but I can't say the same about the Florentine steak... it's a premium cut, and you have to be careful how it's served. Also, be careful with the bill: when paying with the POS, the gentleman with gray/white hair entered a certain amount first (the payment didn't go through the first time) and then, on the second attempt, entered the correct amount. I only noticed it afterwards, but I don't think it was a mistake... The prices are fair, but the details that make the difference need to be fixed. Would I go back? Unfortunately, not...
