07/06/2026: We went for lunch today. Excellent food, friendly staff, and helpful with customer requests. The place is nice inside; we had lunch outside, which was acceptable. Worth a try. We'll definitely be back.
25/05/2026: A lovely location both in summer and winter. A cozy and informal atmosphere. It's excellent for mushroom lovers.

22/06/2026: You wouldn't expect a trattoria this good to be attached to a tobacco shop.
Unpretentious local spot with good food for a fair price. If you like mushrooms you'll love it. Apparently they pick the mushrooms in the woods behind the restaurant. Also, best gnocco Frito we had in all of reggio Emilia. They use a kind of whole grain flour, they taste amazing on their own (but even better with prosciutto). The black tortelli were a knockout as well.
Monica was a lovely host, we had great conversations with her even though we don't speak Italian :)
While the staff doesn't speak english, we were lucky enough to have translators on hand both evenings, thank you Luca and Willy!
Prices were more than fair.

09/05/2026: I've known this restaurant for several years, and after not being there for a couple of years, I've found it just as I left it... it remains the best for mushrooms and truffles!! The truffle carpaccio is incredible, and the osso buco with mushrooms is breathtaking!! Highly recommended. The location reflects the typical Emilian hills.

A delightful, historic place, with traditional dishes and truly superb specialties (try the truffles!!!!!)
A carefully curated wine list, and a friendly, knowledgeable family team.

31/05/2026: I stayed here with my family for three nights during the scorching heat of a summery May. The view from outside is enchanting, overlooking the lush greenery of these nature-rich areas.
The outdoor dinner was very pleasant, though it's a shame that one day the restaurant was closed, otherwise we would have definitely eaten here. The food is excellent, offering quality local products at fair prices.
The rooms are well-maintained, clean, and more than adequately spacious.
The service is good, as is the breakfast. On-site parking is right in front of the rooms.
A thoroughly pleasant experience, I would gladly repeat.
28/05/2026: We recently celebrated our wedding at Cavazzone and had a wonderful time! The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the day, and the Maître d', Davide, helped us organize everything, taking our every request to heart.
Both the aperitif buffet and dinner left our guests more than satisfied: the dishes were carefully crafted, authentic local cuisine.
Thanks to the beautiful day, we enjoyed the panoramic terrace from sunset until after dinner.
We highly recommend it for anyone looking for a simple, refined, and warm celebration!

03/07/2026: We arrived at the restaurant shortly after opening. The restaurant was completely empty, but the owner informed us it was "full." There were ALL available tables, but apparently the restaurant doesn't serve international guests. When we asked if we could make a reservation for another day, we were also told no.
03/07/2026: The gentleman at the entrance, judging by our appearance, declared that everything was booked for today, even though upon checking, the entire room was free. When we tried to make a reservation for tomorrow or two or three days later, he insisted that everything was still booked.

08/03/2026: I have to say that we didn't eat badly, but if I have to pay for two plates of tortelli, two sausages and four ribs, a potato and a miserable grilled vegetable €40.00 per person, I'm sorry but you'll never see me again.

02/05/2025: Scelto a seguito di consiglio. Un cattivo consiglio. Nessun menù, primi e secondi piatti tutti con lo stesso sapore e gli stessi (o molto simili) sughi. Da non tornare, anche per i prezzi superiori alla media che peraltro non trovo nel sito. Alla faccia della trasparenza. Nell'appennino si trova sicuramente di meglio.

19/04/2025: Mi capita di andare in questo ristorante due o tre volte all’anno.
I tortelli sono tra i migliori della provincia.
Passatelli buonissimi.
Punti da migliorare: Antipasti. La pizza ai würstel in un’osteria con un forte animo tradizionale, non sarebbe da servire.
28/12/2024: Cibo eccellente, vino bianco Piemontese superlativo, moscato Piemontese da sogno, gentilezza e servizio al top che ti fa sentire come a casa, prezzo sotto la media rispetto alla qualità è quantità del cibo genuino, tutto fatto in casa, con torta finale sempre fatta da loro. Un posto da frequentare il più possibile che aumenta la felicità. Grazie mille a tutta la famiglia famiglia del Belvedere. Roberto Vezzosi
