Fast and friendly service.
The restaurant is on the street and has both ample parking and an outdoor seating area, while the indoor tables still have a view of the hills.

22/05/2026: May 22, 2026, at lunch, I asked if Prugnoli mushrooms were available, but unfortunately they weren't. I chose a first course that didn't include mushrooms anyway, to satisfy another craving during the meal. To my surprise, the owner brought me a separate bowl with a sauce made with excellent porcini mushrooms, which I had to mop up. The desserts were excellent. Now that I've seen the bill, I'm even more satisfied to say that I ate well at a decidedly low cost compared to the quality of the food. I would definitely go back. Well done, highly recommended. I forgot to mention that I read the pizza menu, which is only available in the evening. I'm still eager to go and try these specialties.

Red pizza with sausage, spicy salami, and burrata.
Eaten only out of desperation after finishing climbing Civago.
Dry, biscuity dough, and thinner than a napkin. A red one, which had practically no tomato sauce, arrived with a hole because it had even stuck together, and he decided to serve it to me anyway (he admitted it) just like that, with the salami burned and somehow the sausage half raw. In short, a purple hue of indecency and indifference toward the customer like I've never experienced before.
Seeing is believing!!
Thanks to the pizza chef for the new experience.

04/08/2026: I came to this restaurant with my parents on Saturday, August 1, 2026. I had a great time with the waitresses, who were very friendly.
The place is nice, and I hope to return.
19/07/2026: We arrived here by asking for information and we were really lucky. The restaurant is located in one of the most attractive places in the Reggio Emilia Apennines and stands out for its mushroom-based menu. We had a very good lunch: tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, Tigelle, cappelletti reggiani and fried porcini mushrooms, which I give a very high rating, but it was all good and served with courtesy. I highly recommend it for an experience with few frills but a lot of substance in Villa Minozzo (RE).

13/05/2025: Nel piccolo borgo di Costabona,raggiungibile da Villa Minozzo in pochi km,ecco questa ridende Osteria con giardinetto per aperitivi,ingresso bar con qualche posto e 2 sale ,una sobria e piacevole e una ridondante di “ reliquie” rock e non solo.Servizio giovane e femminile e rapido.Tortelli verdi ottimi,le pappardelle al cinghiale,poca pasta è troppo condimento slegato( sapore ok. Contorni tutti buonissimi,giardiniera,patate,crudi te’ e bietoline.Stinco classico e bollito misto minimalista. Zuppa inglese e Mascarpone con nocciole da leccarsi i baffi.Consigliato,aperto pero’ solo ven-sab-dom.

I came back by chance, also involving a couple of friends from Milan... my expectations were not disappointed, on the contrary... the quality of the food is always impeccable, the friendliness of the owners exemplary... the location is truly very special...

26/01/2025: Al ristorante oggi do' dieci e lode!nn gli manca niente, è pulito, accogliente, spazioso.. La vista è magnifica.Il personale è gentile, attento e sorridente.. E il cibo super. Oggi antipasto offerto da loro, cosa ormai rara, zuppa di funghi, patate e crostini da brividi, polenta con cinghiale che si scioglie in bocca, persino il caffè è super, cremoso e in bicchierino. Prezzi giusti, in due 45 euro. Una certezza mangiare qui. Grazie grazie
06/01/2025: Ogni piatto è speciale, la cortesia dei ragazzi è infinita (soprattutto Alda) i cuochi oltre che bravi sono simpaticissimi. Torniamo sempre con piacere in questo rifugio.

10/02/2025: Ambiente pulito, ma datato e poco curato. Ancora presenti le decorazioni natalizie in febbraio. Un bel presepe ma ma le restanti abbastanza dozzinali, come l'ambiente. Ma siamo in montagna e ci si adegua. Il Menù, a voce, presenta un grande varietà di tortelli (che in realtà sono ravioli), con diversi ripieni ma tutti conditi con burro e salvia. Buoni ma non buonissimi, secondi idem, porzioni dolce enormi. Grande varietà di lambruschi. il menù era conosciuto solo da un cameriere che non si è presentato spesso al tavolo, gli altri camerieri un po' improvvisati. Prezzo totale per 10 persone 300 euro per un primo, un secondo ed un dolce , non esagerando nel mangiare e bevendo 1 sola bottiglia di vino in 10.
02/12/2024: Questo ristorante è ampio e si presenta con grandi tavolate apparecchiate in modo classico. Abbiamo un menù vario dove i piatti migliori sono state le rosette al forno e il dolce di mascarpone. Il servizio è curato e professionale. Bravi!

L'accoglienza è stata meravigliosa, personale con una grande disponibilità. Si respira un'atmosfera famigliare e calda.

17/05/2025: Il locale si trova in una bella zona, in mezzo alla natura e al relax. Buono lo gnocco fritto. Il ragazzo che ci ha servito è stato molto bravo, attento e gentile. I colleghi ed il titolare dovrebbero imparare da lui.
