06/01/2026: The family atmosphere makes you feel like you're sitting at your aunt's or grandmother's house. The owners are very kind and friendly. The cappelletti in brodo and the cappello del prete (priest's hat) are particularly good. Four stars instead of five for the food because my braised beef was a bit dry. Four stars for the atmosphere because we were seated in the room near the entrance and there was a chilly breeze every now and then. I should point out that it was January and it was -2 degrees outside.

27/02/2026: I've been to Trattoria del Macellaio Fornaciari in Reggio Emilia and had a truly excellent experience! The atmosphere is pleasant and informal, perfect for a dinner with friends or as a couple. The selection and quality of the meats are extraordinary: every dish is expertly prepared and the flavors are intense and balanced, from the tartare to the tagliata to the wagyu specialties. I highly recommend it!!!
14/02/2026: Let's start by saying that the owner is a true meat and wine expert, capable of providing effective advice, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. However, this doesn't change the fact that the prices (at least for the menu we ate, featuring Vacca Rossa Reggiana) are far too high, coming in at almost €70 per person for an entry-level bottle of Tuscan Sangiovese. For that price, you'll be dining in a proper restaurant with a proper cover charge (not on a paper placemat) and a very respectable location. Personally, I'll avoid it very carefully.

08/02/2026: Typical Reggio Emilia restaurant with appetizers based on gnocchi, cured meats, and all the classics like tortelli and cappelletti in broth, all very good. Second courses include mixed grills, roasts, and so on. Service is prompt. They're good and they work hard. The place is very noisy. When I was there in the evening, it was packed, and it was hard to talk to the person in front of me. The food is good, but it's a shame about the prices: €50 per person for a first course, second course, side dish, water, a bottle of Lambrusco, and coffee. For a place like this, I expected a little less. The parking lot was full; I parked next to the vineyard. Clean facilities, okay.

He accompanies the dining experience with stories and anecdotes about famous people. The deliberately modest menu offers carefully selected and executed dishes, designed for those who appreciate local cuisine. Reasonable prices. Recommended.

You try different dishes every time, all of which are delicious. The only downsides are the bumpy road and the difficulty finding a table when you book. But it's definitely worth it...

31/01/2026: The place is beautiful, well-kept, and clean. The young woman who welcomed us was incredibly kind and attentive to our needs, making us feel immediately at ease. The dishes were delicious, plentiful, with fresh fish, and the appetizers were also delicious. The dessert was a revelation. The resin ice cream was breathtaking and incredibly fresh. An experience we'll definitely repeat, especially to try the rest of the menu. Highly recommended.

13/12/2025: In the middle of nowhere, this restaurant pleasantly surprised me with both its seafood and traditional menus. I tried a bit of everything, and it was all delicious, perfectly cooked, and made with quality ingredients. If I really had to find a flaw, it would be the baked potatoes, which were too dry, and the desserts, which weren't exciting (but still good).

The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was family-friendly. They happily welcome four-legged friends, and ours was quite large. Highly recommended.

14/12/2025: A takeout pizza dinner invitation. I chose a simple Margherita, which turned out to be truly delicious: fairly thin dough, flaky and well-cooked, without the rubbery texture. Sweet tomato sauce, flavorful mozzarella, perfectly measured salt, and a balanced topping. It arrived piping hot and intact in the box, with prompt service. I'm not considering the price because the pizza was free.
