16/08/2026: We went there five days ago, recommended by the owner of the B&B where we were staying. We didn't book, but the wait was 15 minutes, just long enough for a table to become available. And the staff was quick and extremely kind, despite the place being full. Everything is super efficient and organized. There's no choice of dishes; you come here to taste and eat the famous San Daniele prosciutto. But if you'd like, they'll also bring you other cured meats or pickled vegetables. Everything was perfect and paired with a good glass of wine. You can finish off on a sweet note with a nice slice of cake. We tried the ricotta, apple, and red fruit cakes, and they were delicious. Highly recommended for a quick and simple lunch that will satisfy you completely 🤩👍🏻

24/08/2026: A fantastic family lunch. Fish specialties, but excellent meat options are also available (for example, I opted for a fish first course and a meat second course: squid ink linguine and pork ribs, respectively). The ingredients and preparation were impeccable. Service was very fast despite the restaurant being full, and the staff were helpful. Unbeatable value for money. Ideal for children to run around in the huge lawn. A post-binge nap is also possible thanks to the wonderful lounge chairs.

24/08/2026: The restaurant has been completely renovated. The spaces are now spacious, and the windows give the impression of eating outdoors. It's also suitable for groups, as the varying sizes of the rooms allow for different needs. For the little ones, there's a designated outdoor play area for free and unsafe play. Ample parking is available in the surrounding areas. The menu changes frequently, and the dishes I've had were carefully prepared and of good quality.

09/08/2026: I give the food 5 stars, but overall 3. Let's start by saying that the pizzas are delicious, very light, and well-leavened: a minimum requirement for a truly respectable Neapolitan pizza. The tense atmosphere among the staff made me uncomfortable. Throughout the dinner, I witnessed constant yelling and mutual mistreatment. I've worked as a waitress in several pizzerias, and, aside from the fact that it's unprofessional to show these tensions to customers, I find it frustrating to work in such an atmosphere. It's none of my business, but honestly, I want to make a careful decision about whether or not to let employers who provide "work" like this eat.

08/08/2026: A real find while passing through! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We stumbled upon *Dar Cavaliere Nero* while traveling through Venzone and were absolutely thrilled! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel instantly welcome. But now for the main event – ​​the pizza: It was simply exceptionally delicious! The dough was perfect – beautifully thin and crispy (not at all soggy or mushy). The toppings were also outstanding: The cheese and salami were incredibly flavorful and of excellent quality. We've already decided: If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back. A highly recommended spot for anyone who loves really good pizza!

05/07/2026: I was here this evening with my family before taking the train back to Tarvisio. The lady at the counter is very kind and smiling. The place is informal with tables outside and inside as well. Huge pizzas. A selection of drinks and reasonable prices. A great way to end a beautiful day of cycling on the Alpe Adria cycle path from Tarvisio to Venzone... And anyway, "ar cavaliere nero Nun je devi da rompe Er ca...."

And the food was absolutely delicious – our 13-year-old son was amazed at how the fat melted on his tongue :-) The entire team was warm and friendly – ​​thank you for your hospitality 🙏☀️🍀

15/07/2026: Air-conditioned indoor dining room. Welcoming and friendly staff. Dogs are welcome, provided they are accompanied by well-behaved owners. The food is ok, as per local tradition. Parking can be difficult to find. The restrooms are ok. Congratulations.

28/07/2026: After a couple of years, we returned a couple of weeks ago. Well, I have to say, from appetizer to dessert, everything was truly delicious. The young woman who welcomed us, Vanessa, was very polite, cheerful, and professional, and gave us excellent advice. The appetizer was excellent: a meat tartare with a mix of cured meats, cheeses, and giardiniera. Scallop risotto, grilled roast beef with baked potatoes, and baked sea bream with cherry tomatoes and Tagalog olives. Fruit, desserts, and coffee finished off the meal in style. Compliments to the chef. The location and table setting were beautiful. There are nothing to complain about, other than to recommend it... and we'll definitely be back as soon as we can.
