19/09/2025: Our favorite neighbourhood pizzeria! Located in Silvella (UD), this modest hole-in-the-wall pizzeria is one of the best pizzerias in Friuli Venezia Giulia! We always order their “GIRO PIZZA” (“Pizza Tour”)— this unique offer allows diners to select different pizza flavors/combinations of their choice from Ambaradan’s Special/Gourmet Pizza Menù. Ambaradan offers the most unique pizza combinations with the freshest ingredients often at 0 km. Reservations are not required but I recommend booking in advance!

07/09/2025: We stopped by on our bike tour. We arrived early and had the chance to hear the chef introduce us to his special pizzas. The expert spoke enthusiastically about his new creations. So, here you'll find both standard and very special, often local, combinations. Very good pizzas, explained with great respect. That was a nice surprise! From the outside, the pizzeria looks more like a takeaway pizzeria. Of course, it's completely different inside. The neighborhood knows this place well, so it's best to arrive early!

26/10/2025: Excellent trattoria where you can enjoy Carnia specialties. Herb-filled ciarsons, cappellacci with porcini mushrooms, frico (truly excellent), polenta and sausage, stewed guancialini... excellent house wine!! Four courses plus dessert, wine, and coffee: €35 each for two!

18/10/2025: We stumbled upon it by chance, but it was a great experience. Authentic dishes made with local ingredients and welcoming staff. Everything was delicious!

18/09/2025: We went to Torate twice during our vacation in Carnia. Once, we ate delicious frico and polenta. The Sacher torte was a bit dry. The second time, we had pizza, and I have to say it was truly delicious. The service was impeccable, the waiters were very kind, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. RECOMMENDED.

We can only thank you for your kindness, professionalism, and the staff's preparation, which transformed this very important day into a fairytale wedding and christening! 19/10/2025: Very beautiful location, the view is spectacular, but the food isn't up to par. The meat tartare isn't the freshest, the industrial gnocchi are cheap, and the tagliatelle with truffles is tasteless. For the price, we expected better.

01/10/2025: Excellent food. 5-star setting. Unique atmosphere. The only flaw is that the service staff are probably living off the place's reputation, allowing themselves to wait in line for over 15 minutes without even a hint of a friendly gesture. I'm used to mountain hospitality, I know the peak seasons, and I'm the most patient and welcoming person in the world. But when that reputation becomes a reason to justify rude, unkind responses and poor hospitality towards customers who have been frequenting the place for decades, that transcends any excuse. I'll return only to experience the cozy, Christmassy winter atmosphere, but I'll order the bare minimum. Too bad. It would be a 5-star plus place.

Older ladies bring the food, so if there are a lot of people, you have to wait patiently for the food. Important! The restaurant closes at 2 pm for the siesta, so you have to hurry with lunch. 22/09/2025: A really fantastic lunch with lots of options and exceptional pizza (amazing sauce and crispy base). There are salad options and pasta. Lots of drinks too. Fries were fab. Really fantastic food, thank you.
