21/03/2026: Happy Days Bar in Cividale: A Chance Discovery That Doesn't Disappoint ​Sometimes the best places are found by chance, and that's exactly what happened to me today at Happy Days in Cividale. Those who know me know that I'm not easily satisfied and that I like to analyze each place to uncover its main anomalies. Well, this time the surprise was entirely positive. ​Dish Analysis: Fried Chicken Sandwich ​Since it was my first time here, the fried chicken sandwich was my test. Verdict? Very good, in fact, above average. ​The Crunch Anomaly: Fried food is often a mystery in these pubs, but here the crispiness on the outside is incredible. The special thing (the anomaly I always look for) is that, despite the fried food, the chicken inside remained juicy and flavorful. That's not something you'll ever expect. ​Total Satisfaction: It's a complete sandwich. It's not the usual bland fare that leaves you with a pit in your stomach: here, there's substance, there's structure, and every bite gives you the satisfaction you seek in a well-made treat. ​The Atmosphere and Service ​The place has that authentic pub feel that I like: no frills and lots of practicality. The staff is smart and fast, which makes the experience even more enjoyable, especially when you enter a new place and want to immediately understand what they're made of. ​The Final Verdict ​Finding a place like this by chance was a stroke of luck. Happy Days passes the test the first time with excellent marks. It's the ideal choice for those seeking quality and quantity in a relaxed atmosphere. If you're in Cividale and want a sandwich that really does its job, this is the place. ​My advice: Don't be fooled by the simple appearance. Go straight for the fried chicken sandwich: it's the positive anomaly that will have you coming back a second time.

16/03/2026: A disappointment. We ordered frico and patate in tecia (typical dishes). The frico was just potatoes and no cheese (we were told they were out of cheese); the patate in tecia were boiled potatoes sautéed in a pan. The service was good, but the price was high for the quality of the food.

16/03/2026: Not a very positive experience because we ordered a frico that only had potatoes, and when we asked, they told us they were out of cheese! Another absolutely terrible dish was "patate in tecia": boiled potatoes. We said they weren't the ones we ordered, and they said that for them, these were the "patate in tecia"! Poor value for money.

25/01/2026: We ate very well, the staff were top notch, the owner was a shame he's teetotal... But they satisfied us in every way... they also have a place with a swimming pool in the summer that we would definitely go to.

15/01/2026: Typical, informal trattoria. I'd say vintage 😁 The owner and staff are friendly and helpful, offering advice and help with choosing dishes. Generous portions, excellent quality. Good wine selection. Good value. I'll definitely be back.

09/10/2025: We ate flash cordon and balik ekmek. Wow. Always everything was top notch. Thanks guys! Everything was delicious. Special sardines, original fresh fries, delicious squid takoyaki, wow. Habibi sandwich, Ulysses sandwich. Very special salad of the day with falafel on top or even diced chicken. Smashed beef burger with Val Pesarina cheese from Friuli Venezia Giulia, cheeseburger with bacon by Osvaldo Cormons. Everything was delicious, well done!

01/03/2026: I finally managed to find a seat, and my expectations were not disappointed: the food was well-prepared and carefully prepared, and the menu was thoughtful. The service was prompt and attentive, and you could tell they care about their work. The warm atmosphere, warmed by the fireplace, and the detailed descriptions of the dishes were much appreciated. 19/03/2026: It's been our go-to pizzeria for years. The quality is always excellent and the selection is varied. The restaurant also offers a wide selection of both meat and fish. A dedicated meat fridge, open to view, and a large, always-on grill complete the offerings. The drinks are also good, with everything you could possibly need. We'll be back again and again.

03/03/2026: I returned after many years because I had a great time. I can confirm the good service, the beautiful, well-kept location, the pizza, in my opinion, was very sweet in the dough and the mozzarella was classic, I emphasize, in my opinion. The mussels lacked flavor. Too bad. I will definitely return to try the meat.

27/02/2026: We discovered this nice pizzeria and we were very surprised by pleasant service, excellent food and good prices. You can get traditional cjarsons or various pasta and pizzas. I can absolutely recommend to visit, even it is bit further from Zoncolan-Sutrio.
