The restaurant is always meticulously prepared, focusing on the quality of the ingredients (the first courses are excellent, especially the saffron gnocchi!) and the variety of the culinary offerings. The pizza is a must-try, featuring a highly digestible dough that I always pair with the ever-present and excellent bottled red beer, Zahre di Sauris! I choose it and frequent it often because it represents a solid point of reference and never disappoints expectations. I may be biased, but my analysis is objective nonetheless, reflecting authenticity and Carnic intellectual honesty. It always favors those who have the vocation of always offering the best of themselves in what they do and how they present it. Cleanliness and order in the dining room complete the package for a full and satisfying assessment of the overall perceived and experienced service. The prices are more than reasonable for the high quality of the ingredients used in the traditional dishes; the desserts are exquisite. Paola, the owner, is a wonderful hostess: kind, cheerful, and friendly. Highly recommended!

06/04/2026: Ottimi i formaggi, il salame casereccio come pure il pane. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Da provare anche la carne alla griglia, morbida succosa e infine condita semplicemente in modo da gustarla appieno.

29/03/2026: To say the least, my dining companion and I were thrilled by the family atmosphere, the authenticity of the place with its beautiful fireplace, the appetizer with the inimitable formadi frant and the whole salami with half a caciotta—strictly sliced ​​by us at the table, a great idea, well done—the two versions of cjarsons, classic with herbs and raisins and revisited with formadi frant and walnuts, a perfect combination, the grilled lamb chops with just the right amount of fat that guarantees flavor and tenderness, which melted in the mouth! An excellent house Merlot, half a liter of water, and two coffees for just €65.00: an excellent value, especially given the quality of the ingredients, all local, and the fact that many dishes, such as the cjarsons and stuffed pasta, are prepared on-site by the imaginative chef and owner Alessandro, thus providing an added value that a tray of ravioli purchased from the catering company on duty couldn't provide. Top marks!

05/04/2026: We tried the 2 specials of the day, pizza beef and pizza friuliana, and was absolutely delicious. The guy who I presume is the owner or manager was fabulous, that kind of person that with his friendliness and welcoming way to be can make you feel at home. 10/10

Anna and her family are very warm and hospitable. 🙏🩵 The food is authentic, delicious, and appreciated at any time. 🍽️ Right next to the refuge, a trail begins, a walk after which you can decide what to do. Everyone will find something to suit their needs: families with small children, grandparents, and hikers looking for a more challenging climb. Truly an excellent starting point for easy, panoramic hikes to Monte Cuar. ☀️ We will be back ⛰️🩵⛰️.

21/06/2025: Review: An absolutely amazing Italian pizzeria! The atmosphere is cozy yet elegant, the service is warm and professional, and the food is out of this world. Their pizzas are baked to perfection — crispy crust, rich tomato sauce, and fresh, high-quality ingredients. I highly recommend the “Quattro Formaggi” – it’s a heavenly mix of cheeses that melts in your mouth. A true gem for pizza lovers!
