Exceptional, absolutely worth a try! Amazing dishes! Very kind staff, warm and welcoming atmosphere. The frico and the meat (we tried the venison, the braised beef, and the veal chop) are superb! Compliments to all the staff 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I'm in Fagagna for work, and my bible "Osterie d'Italia" (2016) recommends "Da Fenile," praising its authentic cuisine with local products. Of course, I test the reliability of the guide and the trattoria. I must admit that reality is better than theory. Honest and authentic hospitality. Cleanliness and simplicity in this trattoria, bar, and tobacconist in an isolated hamlet of San Daniele del Friuli. But above all, THE FOOD IS REALLY GOOD. Besides the classic San Daniele (really good), I enjoyed the excellent homemade giardiniera and the gnocchetti as a first course. But above all, the stuffed duck was almost better than the one my mom made. To finish, a bit of Moltrasio with polenta, a good house wine, and I left feeling really happy (as well as full). Thanks to the young waitress (so energetic and helpful) and to the fabulous owner, with whom we had a pleasant chat. P.S. The price is absolutely fair. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area.

20/04/2026: Midweek lunch, where you can choose between the à la carte and fixed lunch menu. The à la carte menu was very good, featuring local specialties like cjarsons with butter and cinnamon, frigo, and many other tempting dishes. Extremely friendly and cheerful staff. A beautiful garden where you can also eat under the porch.
13/04/2026: I discovered this place thanks to a friend: she'd described it very well. However, she recommended trying it for myself. No sooner said than done. There were three of us and we immediately felt pampered, leaving completely satisfied: a homey atmosphere, but refined and friendly service. Expertise, care, and attention to detail in the culinary details. Enveloping background music. Exquisite dishes and almost impossible-to-find prices: all the ingredients are almost zero-mile and/or regional. The dishes are described in great detail and with smiles that win you over. Add to that the explosion of flavors... a one-of-a-kind place! And if it weren't for this, I wouldn't have returned three more times in less than two months, bringing family and friends: from Trieste and Pordenone, the miles don't matter. Thank you for making every occasion truly unique and special.

L'Osteria di Tancredi

11/04/2026: There are places that don't just nourish, they accompany. Places where the experience isn't just gastronomic, but becomes a journey, almost a ritual. Osterie Tancredi is one of them. Crossing the threshold, you feel like you're entering a space where every detail is designed to welcome, not only the body but also the gaze and the spirit. The staff guides you with discretion and expertise, transforming service into an almost artistic gesture, never intrusive but always present. The dishes aren't simply preparations, but narratives. Every element, from the choice of ingredients to the presentation, speaks a language of research, balance, and respect. Even the setting contributes to this silent dialogue, where nothing is left to chance. It's natural to think of a thought by Friedrich Nietzsche: "One must have chaos within oneself to generate a dancing star." Here, that creative chaos is perceptible, but it is expertly ordered, transformed into harmony. It's not easy to find a place capable of uniting sensation, attention, and depth so authentically.
