The location is truly enchanting: a splendid terrace overlooking Friuli, which makes the experience even more special.

04/09/2025: Elegant and refined venue Top-notch buffet Attentive and friendly service It's a shame about the inclement weather...it was raining...so we couldn't enjoy the beautiful terrace with its breathtaking view... A very successful birthday party!!!

14/11/2025: Unfortunately, my last meal here didn't live up to the previous ones. For my taste, the caponata was too salty and the cod soup drowned in oil. The flavor was good, but I had higher expectations. It must be said that the tuna was good and the wines were excellent. The owners and waitress were friendly.

15/09/2025: A lovely, typical Sicilian restaurant in the center of Cividale? Of course! We had lunch in the shade of a wonderful pergola in the restaurant's courtyard. The relaxing and soothing atmosphere alone makes Trattoria Dominissini worth a visit even just for an aperitif, but we went much further... The appetizer was delicious Sicilian arancini, followed by spaghetti with garlic, oil, chili pepper, cherry tomatoes, and bottarga. The main course was mouth-watering grilled octopus, all accompanied by a Grillo Siciliano wine. And how could we pass up cannoli for dessert?

16/11/2025: Excellent food, very attentive and courteous service. A small tribute to the love shown for the cuisine and its customers. Perhaps a little too much hanging from the walls and ceiling, but that's personal taste. Improving on excellent? It's possible! Perhaps with a wine list by the glass and not... Compliments to the entire staff!

21/10/2025: I see that expressing the naked truth about the location and the manager's modus operandi "with my most appropriate and direct language" 🤷🏼‍♂️🤭 the system does not accept it and therefore I will settle for expressing my feelings experienced in this restaurant: with discomfort I sat in an unpleasant small room full of tables all stuck together that I felt like I was in a stable, old place really poor, basic food without a soul without passion without a why. Embarrassing service. I don't understand those who speak well of it but I really say it honestly, it certainly doesn't deserve a 👏 just like the owner doesn't deserve consideration, given that to pay she receives you in a room where the door is closed behind you and once inside she gives you the bill 😅 and there she decides the negotiation, 🤷🏼‍♂️🙏 with card you pay 158 but with cash it's 140 (and I don't dwell on what then) and she even asks you if it's okay? No, it's not okay at all dear sir, first point, by receiving a customer in a room to pay a damn bill by closing the door behind him you are committing a serious crime called kidnapping, but how dare you entertain a customer in a closed room and decided only by her? Onerous and shameful. It deserves a complaint and that's not to say you won't do it

25/10/2025: Certainly not the best carbonara I've ever had. It wasn't bad, but from a place that specializes in pasta, I might have expected more. Maybe even a little more spaghetti. The pork cheek was good, but too rare. Too much pepper. A table of five with five carbonaras could have been better. Still, a nice place and attentive service. Reservations recommended.

04/10/2025: A charming mountain hut serving high-quality local products. The mountain views are simply breathtaking, and the journey is made even more special by the presence of cows and goats along the trail, making the arrival a unique experience.

13/09/2025: What a beautiful hut with such a view. Lots of children help out during the holidays, the food is fantastic, and the prices are fair! It's a lovely place to hike up from the pass or drive up by car.

The prosciutto was simply fantastic, both the hand-sliced ​​and the machine-sliced ​​one: two masterpieces of taste and craftsmanship… The cheeses… what can I say, truly delicious, worthy of applause… And Morgan's Giardiniera… Exceptional, I already knew it, but it manages to surprise me every time! If I can make a small point, the only thing that could be improved is perhaps the beer tap: with all this goodness on the plate, the beer should also be served to perfection, because it deserves to accompany such an extraordinary meal in the right way… A special thanks goes to Laura, who welcomed us with a sincere smile and looked after us the entire time with rare kindness… She was sweet, attentive, and cheerful, and made that hour spent at the table even more enjoyable… Her smile and her beauty, inside and out, were truly the icing on the cake of an already perfect experience… Congratulations to everyone, I'll definitely be back! ❤️🍷
