Today we rediscovered the town of Sutrio, we stayed there for the whole day, between one street and another the ALVISE tavern pampered us with a good glass of wine and a bacon canapé, given the welcome, splendid to say the least, we decided to stop for dinner too....it was an apotheosis of flavours....we recommend it to anyone passing by...the cuisine, from the area, was sublime to say the least...the lady AURA who served us was truly prepared and very kind as well as making the diner feel at ease... we will absolutely return.

I have never stayed in the rooms but it is worth going to this tavern even just to eat. Excellent and refined food, in my opinion one of the best places in all of Carnia

We just had dinner, did not stay in hotel. Came to Sutrio for snowboarding holiday from Ireland. Tried many different restaurants in Sutrio.. And this restaurant… all I can say is wow! The food and the service was just fantastic. Very local and authentic… would highly recommend it! Bellissimo!

Un’ esperienza davvero indimenticabile. Mangiato davvero bene, camera splendida, pulita, moderna e silenziosa con vista sulle montagne. 3 giorni di puro relax e un personale sempre disponibile ma soprattutto cordiale in tutto. La mia ragazza è intollerante al glutine e non ha avuto nessuna difficoltà nel reperire pasti di altissima qualità.

Pranzo di lavoro durante la settimana. Bel locale curato e caratteristico situato in posizione strategica nel centro di Sutrio. Mangiato veramente bene, porzioni abbondanti, personale gentile.

Nel nostro weekend a Sutrio, siamo stati per due volte in questo locale a mangiare, una volta a cena ed una a pranzo, e siamo sempre stati benissimo. La cucina è realmente eccezionale! Noi abbiamo provato per larga parte il menu tradizionale, per assaggiare le pietanze tipiche, ma anche quello alternativo, e comunque tutto quello che ci è stato portato era perfetto. In particolare, sensazionali il "toc in braide", i cjarsons e il "frico", davvero spettacolare. L'ambiente è pulito, elegante, accogliente, senza essere troppo formale. Il servizio eccellente per cortesia, precisione e puntualità. Oltretutto, ci è stato regolarmente consigliato il vino giusto per accompagnare i piatti, ed erano tutti vini friulani assolutamente notevoli. La seconda volta, approfittando del sole, abbiamo pranzato fuori ed è stato tutto ancora più piacevole. Davvero consigliatissimo, anche per un ottimo rapporto "qualità/prezzo" e comunque per assaggiare la formidabile cucina della Carnia. Noi eravamo in due, accompagnati dal nostro cane, che è stato il benvenuto.

Il locale bello ed accogliente, personale gentile ed attento.. Cibo ottimo... Mangiato dei cjarsons alle erbe veramente buoni, flan di zucca in fonduta e frico con polenta più dolci fatti in casa e pagato un prezzo onesto. Nulla da eccepire!

14/03/2024: Very nice and intimate place. Silent but at the same time enriched at times by the songs of the birds present inside the very suggestive venue. Well-finished, colorful and imaginative dishes. Exceptional wines. Experience to be redone. I recommend a complete tasting from appetizer to dessert, it deserves a lot.
09/03/2024: During a visit to the picturesque village of Flaibano, we had the pleasure of dining at the Grani di Pepe restaurant, a gastronomic experience that proved to be unforgettable. Located in a quiet area, the restaurant offers a surprising first impact, with an entrance courtyard that evokes the welcoming atmosphere of a private home. The internal environment confirms this sensation, thanks to refined and particular furnishings, embellished with soft lights that create an intimate and inviting atmosphere. The owner's warm welcome kicked off an evening of friendliness and comfort. We opted for the tasting menu, a choice that proved to be excellent, allowing us to explore a wide variety of dishes. Each course was a work of culinary art, presented with extreme care and accompanied by original and delicious flavor combinations. The impeccable service contributed to making the experience even more pleasant, with attentive and discreet staff who were able to satisfy our every need. Although the price of the dinner can be considered medium-high, it proved to be fully justified by the exceptional quality of the dishes, the impeccable presentation and the unique atmosphere that Grani di Pepe can offer. The passion and care that the restaurant dedicates to creating an unparalleled culinary experience is evident, making it an unmissable destination for lovers of good food. In conclusion, Grani di Pepe represents a true jewel in the heart of Flaibano, capable of offering moments of pure gastronomic pleasure. 02/04/2024: It's been several years since I last visited. Nice location, a little neutral but you immediately notice that the place is clean and tidy. The owner (I assume) who served us was very quick and precise in her service. He gave us the option to choose the à la carte or verbal menu. We chose two appetizers, a gransoporro and steamed sea cicadas accompanied by seasonal green asparagus and a tuna cooked at low temperature with steamed vegetables and a cumin sauce. For the first course I had some special gnocchi with prawn tails and asparagus and for the second course octopus with vegetables. I have to say everything was very good. To accompany a bottle of still Ribolla Gialla from Ronchi delle Ciarre. medium-high price.
