07/04/2026: A charming and welcoming atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, and excellent attention to those with intolerances, as once declared, they are handled professionally.
The borlenghi are excellent, a good selection of both first and second courses, and a great selection of cheeses and cured meats for crescentine and gnocco. Excellent value for money.

06/04/2026: A lovely ice cream shop with outdoor seating that serves melted chocolate in a cone. The quantity of ice cream per cone is minimal, so I give it 4 stars.

30/03/2026: I was there a few days ago and what can I say: ALWAYS GOOD!
Light and easily digestible dough, quality ingredients, and a wide selection of flavors. My favorite is still the Liliace, I've never found it so unique!
Clean atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff.
I'm from Modena but I always love coming here, even though it's a bit far away!
Highly recommended!!

01/04/2026: Maybe I was unlucky, but the quality of the rib eye steak was terrible, so much so that I left more than half of it on my plate. What disappointed me most, however, was the staff's complete indifference: no one bothered to ask me why I hadn't eaten my entree. A little more attention to the customer would have been appreciated, especially given such a disappointing dish.
22/03/2026: We stopped here for lunch by chance while passing through Pavullo, and we'll definitely be back! The place is very welcoming and quaint, the staff is extremely friendly, and we had a wonderful meal! Truffled eggs, rib-eye steak, and an excellent roast beef with mushrooms: the ingredients are exceptionally high-quality and the dishes are meticulously prepared. We couldn't have chosen better. At the end of the meal, with coffee, they brought us two liqueurs and homemade desserts, which, like everything else, did not disappoint. Another positive note is the prices, which are average and not excessive. The selection of local products, available for purchase on-site, is also excellent.

27/11/2025: We dined at Calcagno with our family and found the food to be excellent, with attentive and appropriate preparation for our two-year-old, courteous staff, and a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere.
We were also treated to a delicious entrée and a truly superb digestif (a spoonful of sugar)!
The price is a bit high, but given the many positives, it's worth it every now and then.

29/03/2026: Very kind owners, the tigelle (crescents) are worthy of great praise; they reminded me of my grandmother's (I'm from Bologna with roots in Modena). Just the right thickness, crispy on the outside and with barely any crumbs inside. The pesto ones are amazing. Tables on a quiet pedestrian street. A pleasant discovery. I'll be back as soon as I can.

Because I was at a dinner with about 90 people.
And I ate well. But most importantly, I didn't feel sick.
This is because: I have celiac disease due to contamination and am allergic to milk proteins.

04/04/2026: Inedible pizza, too much oil added. I had a buffalo mozzarella and it had more tomato than mozzarella (two slices). To be precise, tomato soaked in the pizza. This place is a tourist trap, better elsewhere. Rude staff, especially at the cash register.
04/04/2026: Bad experience: a pizza full of tomato sauce. The salami and gorgonzola pizza didn't specify whether it was spicy, while the others were. To top it off, since there were four of us, we wanted a separate bill. The clerk, without even asking or even letting us speak, issued a single receipt, insisting there was nothing more he could do. Moral of the story: terrible pizza and rude staff. Avoid.

07/03/2026: We were with friends who had never been to this restaurant before, and as we already knew, they were very, very pleased.
Excellent home-cooked food, friendly and helpful staff, good value for the food. Last but not least, the view, beneath the Sassi di Roccamalatina, is breathtaking!
After lunch, it's the perfect place for a stroll amidst the greenery.
Highly recommended!!
