There are better fried gnocchi in Modena, and these ones arrived almost cold. I suspected the culatello was prosciutto. But it definitely was culatello, but there are better ones here too. The suckling pig was excellent! The baked potatoes on the side, however, were not.

I went to dinner at this restaurant and tried the pumpkin ravioli with butter and sage and the carpaccio with arugula and Grana Padano. Both dishes were exceptional: the ravioli had a wow-inducing sweetness, while the carpaccio was so tender it melted in your mouth. We dined on the lovely outdoor terrace. So far, it's the best restaurant I've tried in Modena.

Very welcoming atmosphere, excellent service with very friendly waiters, good cold cuts and cheese platter, shame about the rabbit with baked potatoes which was very dry and tough, desserts average.

The filet with balsamic sauce was mindblowingly good. I've never had a sauce so delicious and layered in flavor. Highly, highly recommend!

18/04/2026: A small, simple trattoria with excellent food. The menu features traditional Modenese dishes that are of a high standard, but for dessert, you absolutely must try the cannoli or cassata, which are sourced directly from Sicily (the owners' home region). We had a wonderful time here for a quiet family lunch.

18/07/2026: Lunch with the family today. Traditional dishes, simplicity, and courtesy make this place a must-visit. We'll be back on our next trip out of the region, perhaps in the winter. Thanks, great experience.
