20/12/2025: A restaurant with a breathtaking view of Isola Bella. The location is already stunning, but the hospitality of the owners and waiters makes it even more enjoyable. Excellent first and second courses. A wide selection of wines and very good desserts. I highly recommend it!
07/12/2025: My husband learned about this restaurant thanks to @f_panella's BEST WEEKEND show, filmed in Taormina. He fell in love with table 26, where Francesco Panella had lunch with the three contestants, so he surprised me by booking a table for our 39th wedding anniversary.
Il Gabbiano Restaurant has a fabulous location with a terrace overlooking Isola Bella... simply enchanting.
But beyond the postcard-perfect location, the food at Il Gabbiano Restaurant is excellent.
The octopus, arancini, caponata, and tuna are all must-tries. I was also lucky enough to order an extraordinary off-menu dish: spaghetti with crab, which I'll never forget.

25/09/2025: I came to Italy 7 years ago and have been enjoying pizza ever since. The food here is amazing, and the staff makes the experience even better. If this restaurant were in the center of Bologna, it would surely be one of the best—though I’d already call it the best in Bologna.
16/07/2025: Whenever I can, I go for a quick lunch during my work break, or in the evening to calmly enjoy an excellent beer and various dishes.

21/09/2025: We've been coming here for years, and I can only say it's worth it. Excellent fish and meat dishes, and warm, heartfelt service. The restaurant is family-run, and every time we've been there, they've made us feel right at home. The outdoor terrace in the summer is a lovely space for group dinners.
5 full stars!!!

Ample interior space and well-spaced tables.
Seafood and meat menu.
The pasta carbonara is decent.
The buttered spinach is delicious.

02/11/2025: We ordered a pizza at 10:25 PM and it arrived earlier than expected.
Excellent cooking and toppings.
The dough is light... I had given up hope of enjoying a pizza ordered via app at home without having yeast-related problems. Instead, this pizzeria makes a truly light dough.
Highly recommended.
30/09/2025: A few years ago, this was an expensive and very modest pizzeria.
Now, under the new management, the pizzas have finally become very good, with quality toppings, plenty of them, and at a fair price. The service is very fast and friendly.
My only complaint: the tomato sauce is a little too acidic for me, but that's just my personal taste :)

Some ordered fish, others meat (Black Angus), and others pizza.
We expected superior quality from the pizza, but the rest—the wine, the meat, and the fish—were all special.
02/12/2025: Managed by a Chef who has under him all young, enthusiastic and truly dynamic guys who are also very well prepared and capable in their work.

04/11/2025: Disappointed. The donuts were practically empty; you had to search for the cream with a lantern. Even the brioches, which were full of cream when the shop opened, were lacking today. This isn't good. I'll give you another chance.

29/11/2025: The food was average; the schnitzel was a little too cold, but it wasn't bad. The crispy chicken schnitzel, cooked in panko breadcrumbs, was very good. The desserts were good, but it was a shame they didn't have the traditional Sachertorte.
