20/10/2025: We stopped by Leon D'oro, by happenstance, just to have a quick lunch. We had heard about the famous porduct of Zibello: Culatello , but had not tried it yet. We asked them what they recommended (using Google Translate ) and they casually suggested we try the Culatello sandwich. That simple sandwich turned out to be one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten in a life time of travel and dining. To this day I regret the fact that I only ate three sandwiches ! and not five or six while I was there. The atmosphere is that of an unpretentious, pleasant eatery. It sits on a corner of a square that looks like it was taken out of an old Italian movie about a small town. Pleasant and kind staff who are quietly proud of their food. But none of that matters... You go there to eat the greatest thing ever made from a pig.... THE CULATELLO.

13/09/2025: 4 stars for service, I mean only the timing. 4 stars for food, only because I've been a couple of times and had the same starter. The menu includes various dishes among the various choices, this one is good. I love large dishes, but I think they pay more attention to the plating. The portions are sufficient to satisfy the palate. The prices depend on your budget, I'd say slightly above average. I'll definitely be back from time to time. 👍👍

30/10/2025: What can I say? We were absolutely satisfied. The place was lovely and the food was excellent. The owner and his staff were incredibly kind and professional. We celebrated a graduation, and he even provided us with a table to hold flowers, and he even advised us on how to take photos. The cake cutting was a success. Overall, I highly recommend the place because the food is truly delicious... Thank you!

05/10/2025: Excellent place for meat, with a very charming theme inspired by the Divine Comedy. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant manager is always available and knowledgeable with recommendations. The meat is exceptional and the wine list is extensive. The price is proportionate to the quality of the product. Definitely worth a return visit!

26/10/2025: A sandwich with a rare flavor, exceptional meat, and soft bread that perfectly captures all the ingredients. I had the royal burger, with double meat stuffed with cheese, truly perfect, well-cooked, and juicy. I'm adding a photo of the menu, for those of us who happen to be passing through Piacenza. The restaurant offers mixed grills upon reservation. If the quality is similar to the burger, it must be a great experience!

01/10/2025: I often go to this piadineria, where I buy piadinas and crescioni, mostly to-go. I think they're the best in all of Ravenna. Besides the one I bite into right away because the aroma is impossible to resist, I can refrigerate the rest at home, and they keep for several days. Then, simply reheat them in a nonstick pan for a few minutes. If I'm visiting friends in Rome or Umbria, or if they come to visit me, these delicious piadinas are a wonderful gift. Among the crescioni, my favorite is sausage and onion, but there are so many fillings to choose from. For your sweet-toothed nephew on his way home from school, why not get a Nutella cappelletti?

03/11/2025: The best gelato I've ever had. I hadn't been to Parma for years, and when we returned, the first thing I thought of was going to this gelateria, which, luckily, was still open. The hazelnut gelato is wonderful, very creamy and not too sweet, and I also love the biscotti. Highly recommended.

23/10/2025: What can I say...when you want to spend quality time with friends and enjoy great food, this is the place! Every time we come and every time I walk in the door I feel uplifted and well. The dishes are delicious, the staff are super friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is clean, and the location is magnificent, right next to the sea, the square, the fountains, the birds that occasionally come over and cheer you on...and then there's the wonderful owner who always greets us and is always there...thank you so much, guys, you're one of a kind!!! 16/10/2025: Kind and friendly, like almost everyone in Emilia Romagna, but the thoughtfulness to bring water for the dog is not something everyone can do! A well-deserved 5 stars.

05/10/2025: We had heard good things about it and we can only say better! We ordered à la carte, so some meat and some fish. Everything was delicious and all the guests were happy! Tasty, well-prepared dishes and an excellent choice of raw materials. The tagliolini were irregular and thick, very good, probably homemade. Fresh fish, tender meat and well cooked. The typical Ukrainian dessert (called Kiev dessert) was a pleasant discovery with an interesting sweet/savory combination of meringue, mascarpone and toasted peanuts. Definitely a recommended place, we will be back to try the pizza too!

21/11/2025: I've been living in this neighborhood for a couple of years now, and I regularly go to Nicco's. The food is top-notch, with those simple yet uniquely flavorful home-style dishes, always fresh ingredients, and interesting specials. The staff is fantastic; you always feel at home, which isn't a given, without ever being intrusive, always kind and friendly. Go there, you won't regret it.

01/07/2025: Honestly a joke. Great modern setting and promising limited menu. But the dishes we had were awful. Ravioli with no flavor swimming in a sea of oil. Anorexic quail well prepared but again totally lacking flavor. Eggplant was a mushy mess. And I guess there's a bread shortage in Bologna because we got 3 small pieces for our 5 euro. Expensive, pretentious, suggest you avoid.

20/11/2025: A beautiful, well-kept, and very original place. The woman who runs it is a force of nature, smiling and very nice. If I were comfortable, I'd go there every morning, and when I can, I go there to stock up on "beautiful" and good things.
