14/10/2025: A fantastic, welcoming restaurant with friendly, professional service. The cuisine is a guarantee of quality and variety. Don't be fooled by the typical village trattoria-style setting and location, because alongside the masterfully crafted traditional dishes, you'll also find intriguing, modern options, including, currently, mushrooms and truffles. I've become a regular customer, going as a couple, with family, or with friends whenever I'm craving excellent tagliatelle, mushrooms, or a delicious Bolognese cutlet. When I'm craving quality and tradition, I go to Marano!

14/09/2025: Yesterday I celebrated my birthday and everything was perfect. The €35 combo menu was excellent, we ate a lot and had a variety. We drank some good wine. The location in the little square is obviously gorgeous, but perhaps even better inside! Thank you for everything, I confirm that this management is attentive and does what it deserves.

07/09/2025: Another one of those places, of which there aren't many: you go there and feel at home. My Caffé d'Orzo was delicious and the staff very friendly, especially the young man with the tattoos, always in a good mood, great atmosphere. No rating for the food because I didn't eat there.

02/09/2025: Passing through town very quickly, we found this pizzeria and frankly I think it's the best pizza I've ever eaten. The dough is crispy and thin, they are topped with good products and the lady who welcomed me was very nice. Seeing the pizza chefs turning the dough Italian style was a little extra 😋

25/09/2025: Gobsmacked. Is everyone else on some tastebud altering psychedelic acid trip or is it just us…We were so looking forward to the ‘I love Modena’ degustation but there was simply nothing to love and it was more like a discust-ation. we are not food critics nor do we wear our cangol caps on backwards whilst writing our travel vlogs but we have dined in many fine restaurants across the globe and would rate ‘the food’ that we were served at this restaurant among the worst. It was so bad that our children couldn’t stop laughing each time another worse tasting inedible concoction came out laced with the same fluorescent green slime. We were not sure if this food was supposed to some kind of fusion or confusion. We wrote directly to the restaurant telling them about our experience and that we would have preferred to eat a piece of pizza and donate our €500 to some people in need, however they did not respond so after two months we decided to write this review to prevent further crimes against the human palate. The only saving grace were the excellent wait staff who did there best to describe whatever it was the chefs were trying to create with a smile.

21/09/2025: A place really special. Most of foods are really good and delicious yes. Specially tortellini alla parmigiana like most people say. As a dolce that cake more delicious than zuppa inglese.! Also all vines were so good. Prices are high of course you should know that but must be tried once.

18/08/2025: August 15, 2025. This isn't our first time at this restaurant, and it lived up to our expectations. Superb location, good service, and a warm and welcoming staff. Service is friendly and prompt, despite the changes during the holiday season. The menu is beautiful and varied, offering a wide selection of meat and fish, catering to all tastes. The quality of the dishes is well above average, bordering on excellent. The price is reasonable for the quality, and the wine list deserves special mention, as it's well-stocked and top-quality. Lunch outside under the umbrellas overlooking Bologna was a pleasant, relaxing moment to celebrate Ferragosto.

02/10/2025: I stopped at this restaurant while passing through Castelfranco, and I have to say it was a pleasant discovery! Not only for the fabulous tortellini in broth and the refreshing Lambrusco, but also and above all for the courtesy and professionalism of Beppe and his wife: it was like feeling right at home! Tradition and old-fashioned flavors! I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area!

Very professional, attentive and thoughtful staff, with appropriate knowledge of languages. Cellar for all needs, excellent q/p ratio. In the summer, outdoor tables.

21/09/2025: A wonderful restaurant with over 50 years of experience, which I've had the pleasure of discovering over the past two years. From the courteous and impeccable service to the beautifully appointed, old-world setting, it offers a truly delightful experience. Lots of thoughtful touches throughout the dinner, with both the meat and fish dishes excellent. A selection of excellent wines and refined, delicious desserts round out the experience.

28/10/2025: EXCELLENT RESTAURANT!!!!! We went on Sunday for a trip (bus full) at the recommendation of a friend....what can I say...everything was perfect!!! Upon arrival, ANGELO and all the staff welcomed us. Very young, smiling, and well-prepared! The food was excellent...large portions and quality...and everything was served piping hot. The dessert was superbly prepared by them. We'll definitely be back!!!! Thank you all 👏👏👏
